    I'm still torn between whether I want to play Roaring Moon or Ancient Box, but using Awakening Drum instead of Prime Catcher as the Ace Spec is a huge selling point. The fact that you can probably just build 90% of this deck by just digging through bulk boxes of singles is pretty awesome.

      I have MoonSparce all built except for Prime Catcher. It would be cheaper for me to buy all the Ancient Box specific cards and an Awakening Drum than to buy Prime Catcher 🤦‍♂️

      @@InThirdPerson Oof. Comparing deck prices using Prime Catcher as the unit of measure is something I should start doing with other decks. Hahaha

      My friend got me into the game and I just bought the whole deck for 51 dollars. It's so cheap compared to the other version. Just 1 card will run you 30 US dollars, whereas the most expensive card I bought for the decks was radiant greninja for 4 US dollars.

      @@InThirdPerson How come moon is the only deck I see that uses dundunsparce? Seems like an interesting draw engine option.

    I've been playing a lot of Dino Box, I feel some of the best advice I can give is that you should be trying to take 2 Prizers all throughout the game. Try trading 2 Koraidon/Roaring Moon for their first 2 2 Prizers, and then use Roaring Moon to 1 shot a 2 Prizer for your last 2 prizes, as by that point you should have filled up your discard pile nicely. Also, like Chein-Pao, you should hit the stop aggressively, as you have so many ways of getting stuff out of the bin and need to aggro down the opponent as quickly as possible

    For what is penny good? Is there other good options for great tusk?
    Its mill effect is good but that attack needs 2 energy.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Před 2 měsíci

      Penny helps in matchups where your opponent will try and trap a Pokemon that can't attack in the active, such as Radiant Greninja. Penny gets Greninja off the board and prevents you from getting stuck.
      Great Tusk is only here as a way of finishing off opponents when they have 4 or fewer cards left. It can be powered up in 1 turn with Sada's Vitality providing 1 energy and then you attach from hand for the other.

    Every time I play ancient box, I question whether I should ever use the Koraidon. Not a fan of filling up the bench with heaps of Pokémon, that I cannot power up - just to do mediocre damage with Primordial Beatdown.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Koraidon has proven to be not so great over time. Shoot I thought I had it bookmarked, but there are more ancient Pokemon coming out in the next set and I saw at least 1 new Ancient Box build that replaces Koraidon with the new Brute Bonnet.

      @@InThirdPerson I'll have to look into the new cards coming in the next release. Maybe running two, (or three), fighting energy, taking away the fire energy, and replacing the Great Tusk with Slither Wing might prove to be more useful. I tend to mill my own deck more whenever I attempt to take full advantage of Great Tusk. Slither Wing would also help with the Iron Hands match up too.

    • @InThirdPerson
      @InThirdPerson  Před 2 měsíci

      I speak to it in the video. But the fire energy is there so that Kraidon can use its 2nd attack. Against Pokemon that can wall off attacks from basic Pokemon like Noivern ex or Farigiraf ex, Koraidon’s Shred attack can still hit them.

      After you buy the deck twice in the shop, each purchase will get you 4,150 credits you can then use to unlock cards. I showed how to do this on stream: www.twitch.tv/videos/2125719611?t=5329s
