In the seventh and final episode of our series, our tame racing driver might have saved the best until last, as The Stig welcomes the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro to our special tunnel.
Named after a mythical Norse maiden, Aston’s extreme, track-only version of the Valkyrie road car is as wild as track day toys get. With a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 co-designed with Cosworth, it revs to over 11,000rpm and screams like an old-school F1 car.

Adrian Newey is too good❤ the tunnel content is cool, but add variety. Like do some topgear track lap too.
Going down a straight line doesnt show the cars talents😢
It's just cheap and simple low budget content. All you need is, stig, car, robot eat head, a few go pros and 1 insta360 camera on the back. Oh and can't forger the wheel the rotates the car to go back.

No doubt. As good as a Cosworth or Ferrari V12 sound, the 4 rotor 787B I think outdoes them all for pure volume and engine tone under WOT.
That would be insane the sound of screaming rotary engine down the tunnel. We need the 787B please.

Dude, Top Gear has lost their edge. I mean a tunnel? No turns no nothing. There’s three minutes I watched and fast forwards through the rest. There’s no character

$4 million car, on slicks, in a tight tunnel and a wet surface. Slamming the car into a wall wouldn't have been particularly exciting either.
Such a tease to get this car with the perfect mic set-up only to then ref it up to like 7000rpm or something..
yeah this. But I'm also kind of disappointed with the tone itself. On paper the first impression is that this is gonna be the best sounding engine in the world, but in reality much less so? With a Ferrari V12 you would get this glorious clean tone even at lower revs.

100db is very quiet for a NA V-12 track car
Yeah I wonder why they only did little throttle blips. This thing should be at 130+
Some tracks now have noise emission regulations. So manufacturers have to comply with these when producing a track car. Not everyone does it but apparently Aston does.

most of them are really strict to not disturb people who live there
if u enter on the Nordschleife and ur car is to loud, they will fish u out and u get banned for 1 day
was the Stig only allowed half of the max RPM..?

It's rare that I find a car that makes me dream, usually for me it's Ferrari or Pagani, but that time Aston presented the Valkyrie it was love at first sight

this was oddly disappointing esp after the build up. felt like it wasn’t revving all the way. i kept thinking maybe the next part would be different but naaah 😢
I get the impression Aston Didn't want their test car being trashed in a tunnel. I've been lucky enough to see this exact car in real life and it does not dissapoint.
Well then they made the perfect marketing opportunity into a loss. The result of this is less impressive than your average V8 flat-plane crank video. You truly need a talent to be able to do this having N/A 11k rpm V12 in a tunnel with a professional filming crew.

Fantastic car, but why put the binaural "Mic" in the passenger's seat when a regular mic would do? The 3D effect of the binaural mic is pretty much wasted there. Do a drive-by with the binaural mic in the tunnel!
Duh to let us see what the car would sound like if we were inside it doing the run with Stig !

Can clearly hear Cosworth's contribution, that thing sounds like it's got a DFV under it.
The run with Mike onboard, feels like the editor chose the footage from a transport run, not a flat out run.
Had my headphones in the whole time waiting for this...😍 and Beckies mic sounded louder and clearer than anything, I then got my hopes up for the magic 360 sound expecting to hear a screaming flyby...and was just onboard sounding like any other onboard

It can rev up to 9000 rpm with its 4-liter normally aspirated Flat Six.

As a gentle reminder fellow viewers, she did mention at the start that track is not ideal for him flooring it as much as we would love for that to happen and just imagine if he did fully send it, one slight error and the whole set will have to shut down. Safety is first. At colder temperatures tyres tend to be less sticky….. true car fans know this 😅

probably one of the best sounding cars in the world bar the Vulcan, and somehow you let us all down by barley giving it any throttle and not even getting it in the rev range it starts to sing.

I get he was under strict instructions to get it back in one piece but it revs to 11k and he’s only allowed to go to barely 7.5-8 can’t get the full result if your missing 4K rpm
