This is one of the most comprehensive and logical analysis of the JBR murder that I have seen. You asked some of the same questions I have for example, why would loving parents who are covering up an accident do so by strangling their daughter?

Thanks so much Becky. After getting crucified the last couple days on reddit its nice to have some support. Plus they didn't actually watch video but saw what I thought and dismissed me like a cult. There's def some small pieces of evidence etc I didn't know all details etc, but your right. Its one thing if they accidentally hit her in the head or if they strangled her. But to do both whether dead or alive is super super sick. On Christmas out of all days? And they lost their oldest daughter already. She already was bedwetting for years. Kill her on Christmas? They were soo tired I bet. No way they would even wake up until 530. Its so sad everyone thinks they are guilty. They could be but at least people should have an open mind and they don't in this case for some reason.

The Rosetta Stone of the case is the “ransom” note, which, as the FBI pointed out to Boulder PD and the DA in the initial stages of the investigation, was never a real ransom note. There was never a ransom, there was never a kidnapping, there was just a dead girl in the basement of her own home. So what was the purpose of the note? The note’s purpose seems to be a frantic attempt to misdirect/divert the authorities away from what actually happened by creating an unknown, mysterious “they” (in this case, a “small foreign faction,” which is even more laughable when you read the words out loud) who were responsible for this crime and were “out there somewhere.” The existence of the note tells you everything you need to know about what most likely happened to Jonbenet because the note could serve no other realistic purpose. The reality is that in the middle of the night there was some serious trauma in the Ramsey family and, over the course of several hours, decisions were made and those decisions have been followed through on. John Ramsey gathering the $118k, or urging the governor of Colorado to expand DNA testing, etc. all serve the same purpose as the note: misdirection/diversion. The DNA will never lead to an arrest because the DNA more than likely has nothing to do with the crime. No ransom, no kidnapping, no semen, no child’s body dumped in the woods and found later…just a self-contained crime within the home and within the family.

I agree its strange but why would they go through the long note and staging scene, but not follow through with most important part of leading police estray completely. By fooling them into thinking it was an intruder by screaming about the broken window downstairs or another open door. Or even made something look like breaking and entering upstairs.
Instead they basically said nothing all day and milled around long enough for the police to implicate them for the rest of history. It wasn't until Lou Smit brought up the idea of an intruder almost a year later that people might have thought otherwise and too little too late.
His company were salesmen. They sold a billion dollars of computer equipment that year. Sales is not milling around but being fast and smart and a CEO of sales would know there's a process of finishing a sale, no going halfway thru and not giving the pitch. But anyway, anything is possible in this bizarre case.

    • @scottmacdonald6096
      @scottmacdonald6096 Před 2 měsíci +9

@@Ramblingroads So, mysterious intruders were clever enough to enter a family’s home without being detected or seen by anyone (either inside or
outside), clever enough to abduct a six year old girl with her whole family home without being detected (while using a stun gun, no less, which, just like the phrase “small foreign faction,” is even more laughable when you say it out loud),clever enough to bash her on the head with incredible force (which must have made a serious noise) without being detected, clever enough to then take the time to use materials already present in the house to fashion a garrote and strangle said girl (which the coroner said could have been up to two hours after she was hit on the head) and then clever enough to exit the house without being seen or heard by anyone…but not clever enough to not leave a nonsensical, multi-page ransom note for a non-existent kidnapping with a very specific ransom amount that they made no effort to collect? All of this while risking leaving fingerprints or other evidence, all within the home, all without being detected? Do you understand how many major leaps of logic or disregard for human/criminal nature have to be reached to even entertain these ideas? Again, they decided to leave a non-sensical multi-page page note for a ransom they never intended to collect for a girl that they had already bashed in the head and strangled within her own home? It’s forcing so many square pegs into so many round holes, at what point do we stop trying to do that and just follow where things actually go?
The “ransom” note’s purpose is an attempt, albeit a clumsy one, to make a murder look like something else. The “ransom” note itself is an attempt by a wealthy person who knows nothing about crime to write something that they think would resemble the ransom notes they had seen on film and television.
The actual wording of the indictments handed down by the Grand Jury against John and Patsy are very telling. The evidence and testimony they used to arrive at those indictments are still sealed, but I imagine they heard testimony from close family friends, and others, that, combined with the physical evidence and empirical facts, made what those indictments allege far more likely than any other scenario, including an unknown intruder.
The known facts lead to the following most likely conclusion: there was no ransom, there was no kidnapping or attempt at a kidnapping, there was no stun gun, there was no mysterious, unnamed intruder. The DNA will NEVER result in a hit that has anything to do with the actual crime, because it is more than likely unrelated to the actual crime.
Again, there was some serious trauma in the Ramsey family during that night. As a result of said trauma, decisions and commitments were made and stuck with. To add to that, we have a family with enormous amounts of money. If this were some other family, while still bizarre, the case would have been resolved a long time ago, but wealth is the reason Bill Cosby (probably one of the most prolific serial rapists in history) is not in jail right now, and also the reason OJ Simpson did not serve jail time for butchering two people-notice that OJ served jail time for armed robbery years later, what was the difference? He didn’t have any real money at that point! (And yes, I know, his voice was recorded during the robbery, but Cosby admitted in sworn civil depositions that he drugged young girls to have sex with them, so here we are).
The cops didn’t implicate the Ramsey family, the facts did and do.

The simplest and most likely scenario is that someone in the family did it, and it was then covered up. The ransom note came from a pen & note pad in the house. Patsy studied dramatic dialogue in college and was obsessed with image. The ransom note is full of dramatic dialogue, to say the least. It may not seem logical to a normal person to go to such extreme lengths to cover up a crime/accident, but that's because most people aren't obsessed with image and appearances.

TheRufe47, The ransom note is the most important piece of evidence. I won't add links to the writing analysis here, but there are many and easy to find. I am no writing expert, but I don't think you need to be one to see the similarity between the ransom note, and Patsy's known writing. I am 100% convinced she is the author of the ransom LETTER. I capitalized Letter, to emphasize the length of it. This murder was an inside job. Parents lose control of their tempers all the time. They hit their kids out of frustration and anger all the time. Patsy caused JonBen'et's initial injuries. I believe Patsy thought she killed JonBen'et, and that is when the coverup began. Exactly when John got involved, I am not 100% sure. The autopsy shows that the rope was the murder weapon, but I think Patsy thought her daughter was already dead. Whether she staged the garrote, or it was her and John, I don't know. I think JonBen'et wetting the bed that night was the catalyst of this tragedy. Either way, the killer is dead, and I don't think it would serve anyone to have John in prison. I believe prepubescent beauty pageants have no place in our society. They invite trouble. If John was directly involved he has to live with it and will be judged by his creator soon enough.

I believe all of the Ramseys had a part to play in JBR's murder.
It's kinda like Agatha Christie's novel, where everyone was involved in the killing.
First, it was Burke who was playing with his train set in the train room, something happened and Burke attacked JBR (like how he had hit JBR with a golf club the year prior). He had knocked her out and then tried to use his electric train track to shock her to see if she would wake up several times and then panicked and went up to his room and tried to sleep it off.
Then, John went down to the basement to check on whether Burke was still there, he saw JBR lying on the floor near the wine cellar (where there were visible brownish-red stains on the camera footage). He did not immediately speculate that it was Burke, more so that JBR might have passed out from falling or something else.
Then it was Patsy, whom John needed to inform. John went to inform Patsy who was rushing to pack for their early morning trip the next day. As John and Patsy saw JBR's body, they were speculating:
    1) To call an ambulance (hence on the 911 call, Patsy murmured the words, "Hi, we need an ambu.." Those were the first few words she said if you carefully heard) But that would wake the neighbours up on Christmas/the 26th and you know how MUCH the Ramseys cared about their image!
    2) Since the Ramseys couldn't get JBR to wake up, they (John especially wanted to hide the evidence of "sexual assault" on JBR). He had cut out a piece of JBR's genitals (to remove any trace of his DNA) in the basement's bathroom (therefore the "bloody bathroom" interrogations with the investigators. While Patsy was writing the ransom note with her left hand, with her pen, with her notepad, with her probable finger print of her holding up the ransom note to read it and took as much time as John took to cover up. Hence 3 pages, 2 drafts. Patsy also took a set of JBR's pyjamas, therefore there were red fibres from her clothes that she had worn to the Whites & the Christmas garland on the stairs on it, to change JBR's clothes to make it seem as if JBR was taken from her bed that night!
The next morning, you could hear from the phone call when Patsy didn't hang up the phone, "What did you do?" ..& a smaller voice responds "What did you find?".

The Ramseys claimed to never have time for movies, yet their basement/playroom area was filled with movie posters. The Ramsey case has always mesmerized, frustrated, and aggravated me....Its a case where "too much evidence" is a bad thing, along with a contaminated crime scene. What I feel the "fork in the road" in theories/beliefs boils down to one main question. That question for me is, "Do you feel Patsy wrote the ransom note?" I've watched hours of documentaries, read tons on the case, and as much as I want to believe an intruder did it, I cant wholeheartedly believe that. I do not feel Patsy and John are/were murderers, but I do believe to protect their son and uppercrust reputations, I do feel Patsy wrote the note. The same year as the death of JB, they sent out Christmas cards that used the word "hence," just like in the note; The bonus/ransom request amount was oddly specific and similar, the maternal/feminine slant to the tone of things mentioned in the letter, the rough drafts of the letter, the mentioning of an attache, as Patsy loved words with diacritics (hence! JB name) -the mentioning of a "foreign faction" - a foreigner would never refer to themselves as foreign or a foreigner; aside from these red flags, the jealousy and aggressive behavior by Burke was a tad more violent than the average brother/sister relationship. He hit JB in the face with a golf club once; there was also the situation of him smearing feces in JB's bedroom, on some of her possessions, etc; And the biggest indicator to me, of an inside job......WHY WAS THE BODY NOT TAKEN? Why wouldnt a kidnapper still try to collect the money...regardless of whether she's alive or not....As for Burke, I do feel it was a tragic accident, with parents who were shocked and went into protection mode; I think Burke was a troubled boy with alot of hostility and anger issues; So when I look at things in totality, all arrows seem to point right back to the parents covering up an accident as a murder.

    • @Ramblingroads
      @Ramblingroads  Před 3 měsíci +1

No doubt super complex and frustrating case. The JFC of true crime.
Remember there is a huge bias against the parents which is part of why I leaned the other way. The police and almost everyone think they are guilty so that makes a large bias in their case. I'm sure about 90 percent of the trail will lead anyone to the family because that's where they want everyone to go.
A few points I didn't mention in video but will later. If they wrote the ransom note, why not follow thru? Like why make a point to stage a scene and write a long note but not move police in direction of intruder theory. They did mention some things about the broken window etc hours later and months later Lou Smit really pushed the idea but if they were trying to push an intruder they would within the first hour yell or say "omg, that broken window downstairs and suitcase etc." Why wait hour and days for police to make the decision to find you guilty when you could yell about the window or even the butler door etc.
Patsy was a huge mess for days and couldn't even walk. The note is weird and feminine which is weird, but if she did it it was as if nothing big happened. She would have to be a complete psycho to do that. When the maid was told to write parts of the ransom note she freaked out and broke into tears. "If you..... she dies. If you .... she will be beheaded" etc. One reason why Patsy didn't want to talk to the police is because she couldn't write that letter like the house cleaner. She would have tears all over that paper. I wouldn't analyze the note much for small words she might have used in past etc. Plus the writing doesn't look like hers that much.
Burke just got a Nintendo 64 that day and is borderline Asperger's. I don't think he cared much about JonBenet or anyone else. He was in his own world. I think the golf club was an accident or even if he was pissed its possible. He defecated on his wall when he found out his mom had cancer. I don't think there's any proof he soiled her bed or things. He's the older brother and he could beat her up. If he was younger and could take advantage of him he might hit her with a flashlight but he could beat her up regardless since he was 3 years older.
Just having the movie posters doesn't mean your into them. Could be just decoration. I have hindu and Ying Yang decorations and other hippy stuff on my walls that I'm not necessarily into. Its the basement too so not even an important area of the house.
I'm not sure if you saw the other video on kidnappings I put out a couple days ago but all kidnappings go wrong, just like this one. Her being left there isn't weird because most kidnapped victims get killed right away or down the road. It just happened to be in her own home and not outside.

An intruder would never write a 2.5 page ransom note and leave the victims body in the house . That only points to Patsy and John staging the whole crime scene . Patsy wrote the ransom note . They did not stay together after the police arrived . They stayed in separate rooms that morning . They did not wait for any kidnapper to call them with instructions . They didnt even mention anything about the 10 am hour coming and going with no call coming in . John went straight to jon benets body and announced he had found her before even switching on the light in the dark cellar where she lay . Fleet White later turned his back on their friendship because he and his wife knew that the Ramseys were guilty . There was no evidence whatsoever of a break in . The Ramseys did this . The fact that they repeatedly lied plus changed their stories shows their obvious guilt .

      1. Clean her body? She was in urine stained pajamas. Hardly clear.
      2. An intruder could easily write a lengthy ransom note before the crime while lurking. The idea of anyone, family or intruder, writing it after the crime is challenging to believe.
      3. John going to the body isn't really evidence. If he staged a scene, it doesn't make sense for him to want to discover it and unstage things.
If you think there is "obvious" guilt, you should probably not sit a jury. You don't know what reasonable doubt means.

It's the strangest thing of all. It has no fingerprints on any of the 3 pages. Its really hard they could concoct such a bizarre letter so quickly knowing their daughter was dead in a horrific way. But it does appear they did. Was the letter ever actually on the stairs? Surely Patsy would automatically pick the papers up, there was no room for her to get by without danger of slipping. How could the letter then be placed on the floor by John to read without either of them touching it. Why on earth would he read it on the floor, people would hold it or read on a work top or table.

Many who don't know facts of case surely would wonder about an odd amount. 2 of biggest suspects had financial difficulty had keys to house many other reasons to try a kidnap that I believe turned murder when they couldn't keep JB quiet to get her to a car. • @josamaroo

I think her brother committed the initial crime by striking her in the head but her mother committed the murder by strangulation and then her mother did most of the cover-up. I'm not sure how involved her father was but I definitely think he knew about it and probably played a hand in the cover-up. The brother had built up jealousy towards Jon Benet because she was treated like a queen and something sent him into a jealous rage and he hit her over the head with a mag lite flashlight or a similar heavy object. Once Patsy realized the severity of the situation she came to the realization that she would essentially lose both children over this, Jon Benet to either brain damage or death and her son would most likely be committed to an institution until he was at least 18, so she decided to kill Jon Benet by strangulation and went into cover-up mode by writing a ransom note full of movie quotes that she had remembered over the years and eventually placing her body in a dark corner of the basement. Everything that was involved in the murder came from within the house including the rope, the notepad, and the pen used in the ransom note so if you Believe this was a kidnapping-gone-wrong you also have to believe this was a ransom-gone-wrong because the supposed ransom note, which is nearly identical to Patsy's handwriting, is really one of the only things that could point to an intruder. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the whole ransom motive is a farce because no one is going to break in a house and go into a dark corner and write this very long ransom note full of nonsensical movie quotes while also asking for the exact amount of John's bonus from work. Then go and either accidentally or intentionally murder the child in the house with stuff just laying around before even trying to pull off the ransom. If you believe the ransom note is real and this was some type of heist then you have to throw all logic out the window which is exactly why no one should ever believe this was a ransom-gone-wrong which also means it can't be a kidnapping-gone-wrong because they are intertwined and it makes absolutely no sense for a kidnapper to stage the ransom note that THEY WROTE INSIDE THE HOUSE if they are solely there to commit a kidnapping. First you'd be leaving possible finger prints and/or traces of DNA on the note pad/pen and you'd also be leaving evidence of your handwriting, not to mention you'd be spending precious time WRITING THE RANSOM NOTE INSIDE THE HOUSE, and that note was like 2½ pages long, which means you could easily get caught writing a ransom note that means absolutely nothing to the crime you are about to commit. Plus they say the intruder broke in and escaped through the basement so for them to write the ransom note they would have broke in, went upstairs where the notepad and pen were later found, wrote the note and then placed it on the staircase either before or after taking Jon Benet out of bed which was located upstairs.
Obviously I wholeheartedly believe that Patsy wrote the note to try and throw-off the investigation but it really is one of the main pieces of evidence that points to her being involved because it matches her handwriting. The police realized this early on but the DAs office has never wanted to prosecute the Ramsey's for this murder so they've just overlooked it but at the same time they bring it up when talking about the intruder theory because like I said it's really the only evidence they have for an intruder theory. I know they have supposed DNA from someone not related to Jon Benet or anyone in the house but I think there's something sketchy about that DNA because you'd think they'd try to use all of the advancements in DNA that have occurred since the mid-90s but they haven't really tried to do anything with it to date. They just use it as a talking point when saying it's definitive proof of an intruder but they've never used it to try and figure out who it really came from because they already know the Ramsey's committed the murder but have refused to prosecute them even after a grand jury indicted them on charges related to the murder/cover-up. The ransom note was obviously written by movie buffs and The Ramsey's were huge movie buffs evidenced by the fact that crime scene photos prove they had movie posters hung up all over their mansion. They were very rich people who could have afforded to decorate their mansion however they pleased and they decided to hang up movie posters so in my mind that proves they loved watching movies and if they love watching movies I don't think it's any stretch of the imagination to believe that they would know the movie quotes written in the ransom note.

It's more then a half hour note, it is 20 minutes just to copy it, more if you have to think what to write, plus the practice note. Who would take all that time with the parents in the house? Kidnappers take the kid out of the house, even if she is dead, all they had to do was walk out of the front door. Dead body in the house means no ransom money. It was the brother, the parents covered it up, Parents didn't know he would of gotten just a slap on the wrist and even if they did they didn't want the scandal of having a son that killed his sister, it would have hurt the family's reputation it would have hurt John's business. That footprint could have been old, maybe John's when he broke in, who knew that they came down that particular staircase since they had 2? Patsy and John saw and read the note, why aren't their finger prints on that note? Unless they wore gloves and why would they be wearing gloves as soon as they get up from bed? They had to have picked them up since they were overlapped in order to read the pages. The DNA means nothing, it was so small and contaminated, touch DNA is useless, the mother undressed and put her pajamas on her, there should have been her touch DNA but nothing. Attachè si a french word, Patsy had a thing with french sounding words, Johnbenet, their dog named Jacques was named by Patsy

There's other things I didn't mention that would be important. Like why would they go through the long note and staging scene, but not follow through with most important part of leading police estray, by fooling them into thinking it was an intruder by screaming about the broken window downstairs or another open door. Or even made something look like breaking and entering upstairs.
Instead they basically said nothing all day and milled around long enough for the police to implicate them for the rest of history. It wasn't until Lou Smit brought up the idea of an intruder almost a year later that people might have thought otherwise and too little too late.

My early theory was always the brother did it and the parents are covering it up, but now I wonder if it was someone else they're covering for (presumably themselves). Regardless of who killed her, they seem pretty clearly involved. Patsy wrote the ransom note. That seems extremely difficult to deny at this point.
However, the stun gun marks and blood on her underwear make me think it was someone outside the family, probably Michael Helgoth. His suicide basically the moment a "new lead" was announced is pretty telling. Either he did it or he thought it would be pinned on him; it's also possible he interfered with JonBenet at some point, causing him fear that his DNA would be found, but wasn't the person who killed her.
I always wonder now if the dad struck a deal with someone allowing them to "break in" (while leaving the door unlocked for them) and have his way with his daughter, only for it to go differently than anticipated. No one came in through the basement window that night; that much is obvious, unless you're telling me the spiders in the window were also in on it. What was the dad potentially getting out of it? Hell if I know. The family was well-off and Helgoth probably had nothing they wanted. The father's DNA under her nails could be relevant or it could also mean nothing more than they were horsing around that day, or she had a tantrum and accidentally scratched him in the process, or something else completely irrelevant. This sounds way too out-there even for me, but if trying to make sense of this evidence were easy, the case wouldn't still be open a quarter century later.
Another possibility is that her brother didn't do it, but in the moment John and Patsy assumed he did (why would they believe he didn't, given his history?) and went into panic mode, "covering up" a crime their son never committed and destroying actual evidence in the process. It'd explain why they were so damn weird about it. Either at the time of interviews given they still believed Burke had committed the crime, or they realized how badly they'd fucked up and were afraid of the consequences.
The evidence lines up in a way that both things seem proven true. Someone outside the family was involved, and so was the family. But that's nearly impossible to make sense out of. So here we continue, decades later, trying to make the pieces fit.

Only people working in John's office knew the dollar amount in the ransom note. Unless you specifically know of an intern working in his office with access to classified documents; the University theory holds no water. Patsy was peeking through her hands while he daughter was laying in living room to see if others including the small town police were buying the performance. John and Patsy did a masterful job of taking advantage of a small town police force in totally destroying the crime scene. They then were given the unreal ability to control and influence the investigation. The duct tape on JBR's mouth was undisturbed showing she was deceased when it was put on. The ransom note has letters very similar to PR. There are so many things that weigh heavily on the immediate family covering this sad story up. I assume after what happened in the home; they coldly went into disaster recovery mode which clearly showed in their interviews and work with police. They got away with this to your point as they were smart and used the local setting to drive their narrative. As a larger tax payer; I am sure the local government did not want to lose this money either. It makes sense they would turn a blind eye and cover things up even ruining the careers of honest people trying to solve the case.

    • @Ramblingroads
      @Ramblingroads  Před 2 měsíci +2

Anyone could have learned about the ransom if they found out about the bonus. John Andrew lived in a bit frat house up the road. He could have had people over to party when his parents were gone and someone learned of it.
If they went so far out of their way to write note and stage scene then why wouldn't they scream out "there's a window open downstairs!" Why give a half ass staged scene but not fully lead them astray? He could have led them in that direction in the first ten minutes but he basically never made a big deal of that and police found them guilty. Maybe they weren't sure if she was dead but put duct tape on anyway. Its not like there has to be massive disturbance. It was moved twice at least too. I don't think the ransom note looks like Patsy's handwriting.
I think people mostly think Patsy did it for the same reason most people can't solve this riddle. "A father and son are involved in a serious car accident. The father dies instantly while the son is airlifted to hospital in a critical condition. When the son arrives at emergency, a surgeon walks in, looks at the patient, and says, ‘I can’t operate on this boy, he’s my son’. So, who is the surgeon?"
Since its so rare for a woman to do that job or be a kidnapper no one can think its possible so they assume Patsy did it and then find evidence to support it and not doubt there are many things, but also there are many reasons they didn't. They had no motive where dozens of others did and she was in such a bad state for at least a week so there's no way she could easily write things like, she dies, beheaded etc without smudges from tears. Its one of reasons she didn't want to talk to police and the maid had a hard time writing those words too and broke into tears. She couldn't have done it unless she was the most cold blooded killer.
The police didn't do a full investigation and believed the family did it. They were the ones to ruin any possible cooperation when they at first refused to give their daughter back unless the family did an interview. Not just illegal but highly immoral.

I just wanna point out some things that I’ve never seen others consider odd. And out of context, sure. But out I. This specific context, let’s really dig in.
    - why did John shower that morning if the family was going to get ready when they landed later that day? I’m almost positive it was to wash off any dna he may have had on him.
    - Where was the luggage that they supposedly packed the night before?
    - how did patsy ramsey step over that note on the tight spiral staircase to the step below? Did she jump over the note to the step below?
    - why was a suitcase used under the broken window when a chair and actual stool were in plain view of the window.
    - can people write (style wise) similarly. Sure. Can people write similarly in the same town. Absolutely. But what are the infinitesimal odds that someone kidnaps your daughter and has your handwriting. We are talking one in MILLIONS AND MILLIONS.
    - why did John initially say he read to the kids that night but then say Jon benet was never awake? Was it just a mistake?
    - why all the lies and hiding the bedwetting? I won’t even get into the SA implications that comes with it, but let’s talk about patsy publicly saying it wasn’t an issue to the point that she never mentioned it to doctors. We know it was in JBs medical records. We know that she had a specific washer and drier hidden in an upstairs cabinet unit just for wet bedding. We know that the usual sheets weren’t on the bed that night. We know the blanket that she was found wrapped in was usually tucked neatly under the comforter and would have likely messed up the bed worse than how it was found had it been taken off unless they took time to remake the bed.
These points always bother me the most.

She knew her daughter was dead, so made the practical and calculated decision to save her son's, her own and her husband's reputation rather than deal with the fallout of what Burke had done and the devastating effect it on her life it would have had. The murder did have ultimately have a devastating effect on all their lives, but not in the same way.

The male DNA found on Jon Benet did not match anyone in the family or friends and the Boulder PD and DA publicly apologized to them. I believe the blonde guy you show, Michael Helgoth did it. He had been a handyman at the house, had a history of sexual misconduct with kids. He wore the size 10 Hi Tech boots that left the print under the basement window. He also had a black Maglite which was found on the Ramsey's table and never found in Helgoth's place. The day after the PD announced they had a new lead Helgoth killed himself and his family has always refused his or their DNA sample. Lou Smit said he believed the family did it just based on the media but was sure they were not involved once he arrived at the house from LA.

In the 90s I don't know how easy it was to check communication between people. Wonder how well he knew John, if he was their usual handyman? Just feel in gut now there was a group, and 1 or more were filming Jonbenet. John was part of the group, or at least was aware what was happening. He admitted he had failed to set the alarm system that night when they went out to the dinner party. Still can't see how anyone would be so cruel to this poor little girl.

By itself isn't too strange, but when you think about how Patsy saw it on the stair, did she read the first part of the letter upside down? Did she skip the stair it was lying on in order to turn around and read it? If so, she'd have to skip over the stair again that the note was sitting on to go back up to check JB's room. Unless the letter was positioned to be read from someone coming down the stairs, it doesn't make sense to me. The constant criticism is the beauty pageant issue. If you scroll through the comments, it is constantly mentioned. In certain circles, pageantry is something young girls yearn to do. My parents could not afford the expense, but I definitely would have participated if possible. My mother adored me and dressed me as if I were her personal baby doll. My hair was coiffed perfectly and I loved everything feminine. I also had a bed wetting and an issue with female infections. JonBenet was distraught that her mother could have died. Of course, she wet the bed!
My father never touched or even looked at me undressed. One doctor accused him of the same thing, and ironically I was molested by two male DCF investigators, while they claimed to be examining me. My parents were so harassed and bullied, they did not realize what I was trying to tell them happened until I brought it up as an adult. Kids under severe stress like losing a parent do things like wetting the bed.
In my observation, the bullies are the unattractive girls and not the Regina Georges of the world. If you watch the Kendall Rae and Stephanie Harlowe collaboration, it is obvious that too many viciously jealous women hate Patsy and will say anything to justify their persocution. I could not believe how horrible and disgusting the two of these jealous and childish girls acted, as I respected them before their disgusting video.
The policewoman involved in the case was horrible and unprofessional. She looked at Patsy, and her jealousy consumed her. She is the typical ignorant hick cop who is shown irrefutable evidence, looks away and says, "nope, they done it!"
I can relate to too much evidence put forward in this case to accept the accusations of armchair sleuths that makes no sense and can be refuted on every level.
I am glad someone was willing to stand up and admit that the biases are either of hatred, jealousy or blindness. I just wonder how possible it actually would have been to solve this case had it not been for the nearsightedness.

      @Ramblingroads  Před 3 měsíci +5

Yes, I think the pageantry issue def made a lot of people unhappy. Even people who were on the grand jury in Boulder said they didn't like the family for that reason. That's a great point. I thought her bedwetting was anxiety because of doing shows but the fear of her mother dying would be big. I know Burke smeared his bathroom with feces when he heard his mom had cancer so that makes sense. Yes, its a certain type of group that def hates the Ramsey's out of jealousy. They won't accept DNA or any evidence. I made the mistake of posting my video on reddit and got hundreds of angry messages. I am a flat earther for thinking an intruder might have done it. Father is carrying her maybe to bed mother confronts him about it loses temper swings at him he turns she ends up hitting JBR. She doesnt die but ends up fitting. Now they are both in trouble but know she wont live. They cant call anyone for medical attention. They tske her to cellar and MOTHER finishes the job with strangulation fakes the kidnapping. The bosldy is not meant to be found so she wasnt tied up. They would move it later. This is why ehen they knew she be discovered John rushes down and quickly ties her. Jonbenet Ramsey and myself have the exact same birthday August 6th 1990 so in a way I feel connected to follow this case like I have since I was 14 years old. This isn't hard to figure out the boulder police department seems to be dragging their feet because they know who did it but they can't release the obvious. People say they messed up the crime scene but forget that the original call was for a kidnapping not a homicide! I strongly advise anyone to watch the Linda Arndt interview on here and you'll stop thinking about conspiracy theories because it's really not that difficult to solve and it's ashame that a child will never get justice unless a death bed confession is made.

      "
Since the ransom note has a feminine tone it would be super doubtful another woman would have written it so everyone concludes that the mother wrote it and finds the story to fit the narrative. The same reason even a feminist can't realize a surgeon can be a woman.
Its rare that a woman other then Patsy would have written it but very possible.

I think when Patsy described the note on the stairs in one of her interviews it was really jonbenet she was talking about and not the letter. I probably will change the title when I make another video leaning on the possibility that the family did it more so there are 2 videos. Ironically John was the one to tell police his bonus was $118,000. If he wanted to point to an intruder he wouldn't chose that amount of money and he should have pushed the idea that the suitcase and broken window were probably responsible, but he was pretty aloof. The police thought they were guilty right away so he had to lawyer up fast. Plus the police said they wouldn't give back their daughters corpse unless they did an interview on the police terms. Totally immoral and illegal. The family made mistakes and have some changes in stories anyone could have made but the police totally messed up the investigation too. I'm def not one just to side with criminals. I think most people from OJ to even George Floyd are criminals. But when the police totally messed up I'm not just going to take their side. I don't see a big reason why the family would do that. Even if the intruder didn't get downstairs I'm sure there's a possibility that one of the doors was open like in the kitchen. Most people weren't that secure in the 90's like today. 9 months later another young girl Amy was sexually assaulted in Boulder when an intruder snuck in their home. I think someone like a Bryan Kohberger or group of people like that who might have been enemies or students did this kind of thing. A lot of people had a reason to hate John and Patsy. I don't see the motive the parents had. Bedwetting is normal and Burke is the older brother so he could beat her up without using a huge flashlight. He would never get any sentence or even be tried (you have to be at least ten), so why should the parents possibly put blame on themselves when they could do serious time in prison?

@@TheXmeimei I think I gave it a fair assessment when I initially looked into the case and even thought someone in the family was guilty. I saw how much the cops not only messed up but immediately thought the family did it and didn't look for other possibilities. Then I saw how probably 90 to 95% of people are siding with the police and completely believe them and won't even consider an intruder. My thoughts about this were true when I made a big mistake posting my video in reddit thinking people would be fair. Over 200 brutal messages against me calling me a flat earther etc. Maybe 2 decent comments out of 200 plus. So I realized that the majority of people made up their mind and it cant even be changed. I think that's unfair. Everyone should have an open mind. So the fact that I lean one way on this is good in my opinion when 90 percent of the others are making videos against a family who has never been convicted. I think in any case I'd like to stand up for anyone who is getting unfair treatment and I don't believe a mother kills over bedwetting, or a kid who just got a Nintendo 64 that day cared about his sisters presents or pineapple, or a father who lost his oldest daughter could have done this. When they found her her hands were tied over her head and arms were so stiff they had to physically bend them back down. As if she had been hanged by them. He skull was cracked 8 inches from one blow. A child would not hit something just once and certainly not that hard. There was no blood, indicating she was struck after being strangled. I read earlier this year John was found to have many videos of children brought back from Amsterdam business trips. A few of the letters had the formation Similar to the formation of Some of Patsy’s letters because that’s how it was SET UP To BE. The letter formations were Not the only aspect that told the Real experts that NO Ramsey was involved in the writing of that Ridiculous note. And, the public have Never SEEN Patsy’s actual writing.
From the 1st week of 1997 til 2007, DNA testing was done at 3 separate labs. Within the 1st Two Weeks, the results of DNA testing were back - from under both of JB’s pinkie fingernails - Unknown male DNA, mixed with JonBenet’s DNA. Steve Thomas & his cronies kept this vital result from the DA for 7 months & so of course, the public too. The same Steve Thomas who had Never worked a murder case before but later went on to Pretend that he was lead detective & he still does. Two spots of blood were in the underpants but that was Never tested. Steve Thomas got around the office constantly talking about the book he was going to write. It wasn’t until the grand jury were to convene when the Ramsey’s attorneys found out about the 2 spots of blood & the DA finally ordered that to be tested. The blood was JBs plus Unknown male DNA being saliva mixed in one spot of the blood. This DNA from an unknown male wasn’t developed enough for CODIS at that stage. Desperate Thomas worked Very hard to keep the Fact that there was now Two lots of Unknown male DNA evidence, from the media & so from the public domain. The BPD were ‘leaking’ false & misleading information to the media from the very beginning & the frenzy continued. Eventually the BPD were made to Publicly apologise for doing this to the family but This Fact has been forgotten/not known about by the general public.
The BPD’s cops Should have found JB early that morning, though a Search for her was never carried out as it was a Ransom note. Three officers were tasked with checking entry & exit points, yet failed to pull open the cellar door & go in there & they failed to go through the train room door also, thinking it was a cupboard door, they by-passed it. Two of them went around the exterior at separate times early that morning, one with a flashlight. Both failed to see those windows under the grate where one was clearly broken at the top section, being a gaping hole. That broken window was Not where the perps got in the house, but That is Not the point.
The investigators Present refused to target the Ramseys but unfortunately Steve Thomas was brought into the case 3 days later & his goal was to make a name for himself. 18 months later he illegally took evidence material from the BPD, snuck off on a ruse & then resigned on national TV, an act that was unheard of in law enforcement history. Of course, the reading of his Pathetic letter blaming the DA for his Own failings, was his Marketing Ploy for his book of BS, blaming Patsy because of a notepad & he commenced book tours. He was promptly sued for that book of Lies, but soo many have forgotten about or don’t know about That, either. He garnered money from the public for his defence but come time for court, he refused to get on the stand to back his ‘Story’. The case was settled out of court & he lost every cent of the hundreds of thousands of dollars he made from that book. The investigation Continued with a bevy of actual Seasoned private investigators who had full integrity & worked tirelessly Unpaid to catch the highly sadistic killers of this child & at the same time, they hoped to save another. Very few know about a libel case in 2003 - Wolf vs Ramsey, where Federal Court Judge Carnes got to go over the evidence known about at that stage. Carne declared the Ramseys factually innocent due to the 'Abundance of evidence that pointed to an intruder'. All can read that 93 page document online. She also had quite a bit to say about Steve Thomas in relation to his role as a police officer & about some of the BS in his book. She was particularly incensed about him stating a time of death for JB when he was not a doctor nor a pathologist. He made up a time of death to suit his own agenda & for that book, being for, his own financial gain. Carne was also quite scathing in relation to Cina Wong who tried to present evidence about that note when Wong had no qualifications to call herself a writing analyst let alone an expert & she never had the original copy of the note. There was No basis for that case to go forward to trial so Wolf lost. Pages showing fake writing As If Patsy’s writing ‘samples’ & As If from police files, continue to appear on vids about this case. The pages are all Fake. Wong put out a video of course, showing a whiteboard with samples of the letters from the note down columns & letters Next to those, exactly the same, As If Patsy wrote those letters, it’s all Fake.
Every man & his dog has been out to make Money off the back of this high profile crime.
The Ramseys & Lots of suspects, including known pedos, were Cleared by the DNA. The DNA from the 1st unknown male that was under her pinkie fingernail plus his Saliva in one spot of her blood in the big underpants, was developed & has been in CODIS since 2003. The FBI’s national database only accepts Qualified DNA. Further testing in 2007 - Same unknown male’s DNA at 2 places on the waistband of the long-johns, on the inside & outside there, being pulled up/down. The Ramseys were finally Exonerated publicly & Officially in 2008 due to All the evidence that Showed someone Was in the house, over 200 pieces of, Plus the DNA from that unknown male, that had also cleared John Mark Karr in 2006, who said he did it. Take note of that Year.
Next testing in 2016 with Advanced forensics - 2 male DNA on the long-johns, one is hispanic. The other is a white guy, Seen crossing the Ramsey’s backyard after they left for the White’s Xmas dinner. This was reported & newsworthy at the time. All the false & misleading information given to the media by the BPD did push this vital piece of Evidence under the rug. Then all the books of BS with all the versions of Whatever, took the case into a whole new level & the never ending same old same old False information continues with many making up New false information for the titillation factor.
Years down the track James Kolar was in the office of the DA, Mary Lacy, for a very short time & was Fired. He also ran off to write His book of BS & blamed Burke because he needed new fodder. Like Steve Thomas, Kolar had Never worked a murder case either. His ‘Story’ was so ludicrous, no publisher would touch it. He had to pay to self-publish & to very poor sales. He was & still is, just Another con artist & Proven Liar. Then CBS heard the sound of Kerching & that Bogus ‘show’ was aired in 2016, predominately blaming Burke & that’s why Kolar was on there like a Snake in the grass.
NOBODY would try to disguise their handwriting - by Handwriting 3 pages of 365 words & numbers as a ransom note plus use their Own notepad & use their Own marker & then put both of those items near the phone For The COPS. There is something seriously Wrong with all those who believe Patsy did That! More than one Incompetent cop had moron syndrome so this case was Never going to be solved..
The 2nd Commander put in charge of the BPD by the name of Mark Beckner, was put in place in December 1997. He eventually found some integrity & publicly stated in 2015, words to the effect - “when the owner of the DNA is found, there’s your killer”.
*All highly ignorant Ramsey bashers need to get this Very Clear - You Do NOT Know Better than some of the Best investigators in the country or the Expert crime scene techs or the Top forensic scientists or the FBI or the Secret Service or the DAs or the Federal Court Judge or John Douglas or Lou Smit or Ollie Grey OR the Boulder PD, who, for Many Years & to this day Also state that the Ramseys - ARE Innocent.*
The Boulder PD issued a statement via the media - 1st May, 2022. Go find that online & read it Slowly.
Last December a cold case team were put together by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation & they’re on the job. They also have the go-ahead to have both intruders DNA reanalysed with the advanced technology & can have untested evidence items from the BPD’s dungeon, to be analysed with same. The FBI are involved with this investigation, finally.
One can only hope that this cold case team will have Integrity. And, that none will be after a book deal like certain officers from before, who are Totally responsible for every single Unfounded accusation against all Ramsey family members that goes on & on still to this day for No sound reason At All.
The government are Not spending Loads of $$ going after the Proven INNOCENT Ramseys..

To save him from the Trauma going on downstairs, Burke was taken to the Whites at 7.15 a.m., where their kids were present & some adult relatives. Burke was actually interviewed that very afternoon there at about 2 p.m., by detective Patterson who was at the Ramsey's house that morning. Neither of his parents were present for that interview that was recorded, nor did they know that was happening. Burke was taken to where the parents were at their friend's house & John told him then that JB was deceased. After that interview with Dr Phil & then the abysmal fall-out after that despicable Bogus CBS show was aired after that also in 2016, Patterson publicly defended Burke & stated on national TV that he’d conducted an interview with 9 year old Burke & he didn't know Anything at all & he’d been very worried that his little sister was still missing.
Burke was interviewed again 10 days later by a police child service's officer, that took Hours. No lawyer or parents were with him & his parents had Allowed that interview to take place. The public have seen a few snippets of that interview, from shows on utube, the 'bits' that suit the agenda of the channels. Same in relation to the interview with a detective when Burke was 11. That went on over 2 days, no lawyer nor his parents were with him & again, his parents Allowed that interview to take place.
Then, the poor Kid received a Subpoena to appear before the grand jury & off he went to do that Also, neither parent present & NO Lawyer there Either.
N.B. - that was a black & white photo at the bottom of the page, Nobody could tell what the hell that was. Burke tried very hard to work out what he was supposed to see, eventually he said about a glass. That idiot detective kept saying pineapple, pineapple, pineapple. LOL. Burke thought that what was in the bowl may have been cereal because it looked like muck, in that photo. All items on that table were Staged by the perps, as were Lots of items all over the house. There were 18 Chunks of pineapple in that bowl. There were more than one 18s within this crime. Meyer's lucky number was 18. That bowl had the leftover icing from the kids & friends Xmas party on the 23rd, the bowl was with other bowls & containers on the table that had the lollies for the decorating of the gingerbread houses. In photos from that party, the bowl can be seen. Patsy bought a large bag of icing. That big heavy bowl was kept in a top cupboard in the kitchen. From whatever tabloid, book or utube show, people now say that pineapple & milk was Burke & JB's favourite. LOL. It was Not. Forensic science Proved that JB did Not eat Any of that pineapple. BTW - pineapple is Acidic, it would Curdle friggin Milk.
They had all been up since 6 - 6.30 a.m. that Xmas Day morning & the kids played all day & with friends that afternoon & then again for half the night at the White's Xmas dinner party til about 9 p.m. JB fell into an Exhausted sleep when they got in the car to go home, making 2 stops on the way to drop off presents. JB was only 6 years old, she Did NOT Wake Up After That.
Burke did Not say on the Dr Phil interview that he ‘woke up & went downstairs’ to play with a toy. He walked in the door & went straight to his multi-storey car garage that he was given for Xmas. His father went downstairs, helped him put that together for 15-20 minutes then took him up to his room & helped him get ready for bed. The kids Never went downstairs on their own at night.

Burke had just turned 7 when he Accidentally hit JB with a toy golf club from a Backswing, it clocked her on the top of the cheekbone, he cried about it for a week. Nothing Else. The ever changing faeces Stories are Not true.
He was Asked what he thought happened to his little sister in that interview 10 days later. He was friends with the White’s kids & the Stine’s kids who obviously were Not told the Details about all that happened to their little friend. As Kids, just like adults, they Speculate & they Overhear adults talking.
The announcement through the media at the time was the True cause of death, Asphyxiation. The family were later told there was damage to the child’s skull. Both gross & Separate fractures were just After her death. As per, the hierarchy within the police do Not release all information, even to their own cops. The Fact is that the 1st fracture was Open front to back & nearly the length of the skull, the 2nd was a hole, the skull piece being split in 2 & inside. This total BS about a ‘bonk on the head’ grew legs because of Steve Thomas & his loon book of BS, that’s Why he was sued & then James Kolar did one better & said Burke did the head bonk. Thomas the twit was about to be fired for his despicable scenario & Kolar the clown Was fired for his rot with the added on BS coming from Jim Clemente in 2016 & so that farcical CBS show.
One needs to Think about WHY that police Evidence of the 911 recording was put on a TV programme After the Ramsey’s book was released & they had appeared on the Larry King show in March 2000 where they spoke publicly about some of the cops’ failings. One needs to find out about Steve Thomas first though, the former narcotics officer, including that he constantly talked about the book he was going to write when supposedly working this case of a Child’s brutal murder. He said that Patsy hadn't hung up the phone properly & he said Burke could be heard saying something in the background. He accused the Ramseys of lying in saying Burke was asleep when that call was made. They were Incensed about that Next accusation & wanted to Hear what the cops were talking about. And, Thomas said Burke Only. The cops refused to let the Ramseys hear that recording. John & Patsy were So upset, they went on national TV & told the World what they had just been accused of & challenged the cops to cough-up with the tape. All went quiet. Please note, all this was After the grand jury hearing that took 13 months & where Burke was again questioned for a long time by the Special Prosecutor this time, Michael Kane. Next thing, a TV Show has the recording, Words are put on screen & suddenly it's supposedly All 3 Ramseys in the background.
How amusing but typical form from that scumbag Steve Thomas who’s nothing but a Proven Liar, who’s only accolade before this murder case was busting a bike theft ring. He released his childish book, was promptly sued for all the Lies & lost every cent that he made from the public’s purse strings. He had then moved overseas with his tail firmly planted between his legs.
When calling 911 Patsy was using the Wall phone in the alcove that was near that door by the grate that she called the kitchen door. John was reading the note over & over by her Then. In the Authentic recording of that call, Patsy hanging up the handset on the metal cradle that was at the side of that phone is Clearly heard, CLICK. IF the cops Actually had Any Ramseys in the background because Patsy didn’t hang up, the recording would have been played til the end & all would have heard CLICK. Under that phone on the wall, was a cupboard. If Patsy had put the handset down, all would have heard CLUNK.
Here’s the thing, why would they lie about Burke being downstairs? He was Allowed downstairs! Yawn. And then there’s the Fact that the closeted 9 year old Kid, would have coughed up in a nanosecond that he was there when his mother made that 911 call.

Why do tabloids print sensational headlines whether true or false? $$$. Why do 'authors' put a book together based on the same information from the magazines & TV shows? $$$.
In the U.S., for the past 3 years, newscasts & talk shows have been getting out the info about the DNA again but they don't go into enough detail, too scared to be mobbed I presume. I see on utube, an explosion of podcasters pumping out shows since that time frame. They pump out the Same false & misleading information over & over again like well trained monkeys & many make up more garbage to keep all the Ramsey bashers entertained & Excited to be fired up.
DNA is Science & science doesn’t lie. What I notice, is that only the Ramsey bashers Ignore that Scientific evidence. Of course, like soo much of the other Truth around this case, people have cherry picked what they choose to believe but at the same time, the Facts about the DNA are not detailed enough, thorough - being from the 1st week, unknown male DNA mixed with JB's DNA, under both of her pinkie fingernails. That was just the First results & it’s Known - Two unknown male DNA, several places on JB’s person. The DNA from one has been in CODIS since 2003.
People don't realise that the cops do Not release the Case Evidence to the media & so, the public have No Idea what the Actual evidence of perpetrators in the house Is, nor do the public know all that Really happened to JB.
People need to understand that this crime for money & revenge was very, Very well Planned. Everything was set up to incriminate all Ramseys if they called the cops. Just to clarify, there were Two severe skull fractures that occurred just after JB was strangled to death. Both were Precise & also pre-planned if the cops were called & so, all 3 weapons were at hand. That flashlight was Never a weapon used & did Not belong to the Ramseys. All the Stories about Burke, pineapple & the flashlight grew legs After that Bogus CBS show went to air in 2016. Lots of people Chose to believe that utter Nonsense because they’re not very Bright.

FYI - Burke was Never even a suspect & that’s Why, within the Multitude of TV shows before 2016, he was never mentioned because the journos & presenters had No reason/cause to talk about him.

I've always thought a stranger did it, but the parents tried to cover it up either because they thought their son did it or because they were worried about appearances. Because they planted evidence, I don't think it will ever be solved. Unfortunately, the police department just refuses to do their job to this very day.
