    The 3080 Ti can sure output a lot more fps...but look at the power draw!!! Would have been impressive if it drew the same or less power than the 1080 Ti.

    • @michalslavik1730
      @michalslavik1730 Před 2 lety +18

      Sure it draws more, but fps per watt is much more efficient on 3080ti still. If 1080ti gave as much frames as 3080ti it would use 500watts!

      @@michalslavik1730 Yep, I dont know why people miss this, they just see a bigger number and speak without thinking. I have a 1080ti and haven't wanted to upgrade for years but if pricing from 4000 series is anything to go off, a second hand 3080ti is THE upgrade to get. Great card and offers so much in areas our old cards lack or just straight up can't offer.

    I found a decent priced used 3080 ti and decided finally to upgrade from 1080 ti. Thank you for the video, 3080 ti is about 2 x faster than 1080 ti at maxed out settings.

    conclusion - yes 1080ti still RIPS, dont spend 1000usd on new card :D, you can even play 4K if you want high res and lower settigs a bit its looking super good (doing it myself now FC 6) super happy about this buy 1080ti 2-3 years behind whole pc cost LESS than 3080ti now :) and that was with 27" 1440 144hz monitor included :D so yes for whole PC second hand good buy, that was like 700usd for years of super great 2k gaming experiences...no RTX...no need really...

    I'm not an expert, but I really don't see any difference (except for PWR and FPS) and therefore no reason to buy a 3080 instead of a 1080..

    • @grahamdelacey5779
      @grahamdelacey5779 Před rokem +1

      the difference comes when playing it. you are watching a comparison that has been compressed to be displayed on youtube on your current gpu.
      the 1080ti has some screen tearing here and there, where as the 3080ti did not, another small difference.

    I don't even play those games😅😅 and still will not upgrade from my 1080ti. As long as i can play Dark Souls,Elden Ring,War 40k inquisitor and next...Space marine 2 in 4k close to 40fps no matter the quality...i will be fine with that card. I got the 1080ti for 300€,not even a 2080ti is not close to that price so..... Play smart, not expensive.

      @@v3teran75 There is one more thing......power draw!!!! 1080ti goes for a maximum of 180w while the 3080 for 350w!!! I don't think it can really be called a replacement or even on the same product line,it's twice the consumption and for what? I mean,where are those "improvements",of course you can get a better car from one with a 1.8l motor,you can go up to 5l and more but does it really worth it? because except the fact that the price is way,way bigger,the consumption cost will raise at the same time

    • @uzairfarooq273

      Because gpu cannot work that fast so cpu slows downs. The more powerful the gpu more cpu usage.
