  • In this quick and easy video tutorial, I'll walk you through a step-by-step method of how to reset the maintenance required light (aka MAINT REQD) on your Gen 2 Toyota Prius (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). This light will come on when it's time for an oil change. This reset procedure will prevent you from going to an expensive mechanic or dealership. The hack is simple and can be done in just a few simple steps and no technical or mechanical experience. If you've recently had your Prius serviced or changed the oil and filter yourself, you'll want to reset the light so it doesn't continue to come on.
Thanks for watching! Remember to always keep up with regular maintenance for your Prius to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. If this video was helpful, please subscribe, like and leave a comment below telling me what you think!

Places like AutoZone and O’Reilly’s will read the codes for free. A little free advice though, a diagnostic trouble code is not a diagnosis. Don’t let them sell you anything until you’ve had a chance to do some research and find the root cause of the code. Good luck! 👍🏼
