- Ousmane has been doing the painful job of salt scraping for the past 20 years. Every day, he goes out onto the lake to load up his boat while his wife, helped by a friend, unloads the boat he filled up yesterday.
This arduous task earns them barely enough money to survive on for two days. But in spite of these hardships, Ousmane still holds a deep love for the lake. It's thanks to it that he has found work and was able to start a family there.
