Many thanks to Alabaster Jones for posting this video - I've been a fan since the late 60's and have never seen this clip before.

That's Malcolm LeMaistre singing, isn't it?
I loved his two songs on Earthspan.
The Actor, and also The Sailor and the Dancer. Did he record any others? Not as familiar with ISB's later work

Look up At The Lighthouse Dance and My Father was a Lighthouse Keeper. Probably the 2 best Lighthouse songs ever. Malcolm sang both.

Robin speaking in FRench! That's a new one. Did he learn Welsh when he lived in our fair principality?

French to easier than Welsh to learn! And in those days in Scotland we learned French as a second language, even from primary school.

If May 1972 was the date of this performance, then it was in the middle of the band recording the Earthspan album. This could well be the last performance video of Licorice McKechnie. Wikipedia says she left after the release of Earthspan, but I often wonder if she left during the recording of it, as she has a much smaller presence on it than on the previous album, and as I recall plays an instrument on only one track.

Absolutely! And it actually ends with her very own Secret Temple that went unreleased at the time. (Found now on the Trick of the Senses CD) 😊

I’ve heard that Robin was a linguistic virtuoso. Is this true?
