I’m really glad that you were so open about anxiety and missing home, I struggled to just go to college and it was 20 mins away! x it really makes me feel less alone! But I really want to challenge myself so I know I can do it ❤️

I know I am a year late but I felt exactly the same when I went to uni this year! My body just seemed to shut down but thank you for being so open and honest - I’m sure it will help a lot of people feeling the same to have this x
I’m so sorry you had to go through this and your homesickness was so bad. Thank you so much for sharing this video because all the first week of uni videos I’ve seen it’s always of everyone having an amazing time and getting into the swing of things straight away, you never really see people opening up about their homesickness and anxiety much when they move in. I really hope you managed to feel more safe and comfortable and that you ended up enjoying uni life ❤

I go to Brighton uni too and I'm about to finish my second year. It's really hard leaving home for the first time but Brighton is the most beautiful city ever. I basically consider it home. You will definitely fall in love with it

I move uni in september and I have the same issue I hate being out in the dark and being in the middle of Leeds in the dark with new people scares me. I'm just blessed to have a small flat and my flat mate is so lovely and doesn't care about going out unless I wanna do so.

Also what camera do you use to film? & what brow product were you using at the start X
I use the Canon 700D or my Canon G7X if I'm vlogging. And for brows I use the Benefit Ka-Brow brow pomade x

Admittedly this is the first video of yours I have watched but have you tried medication? I absolutely hated it and am completely off now but I truly believe I wouldn’t be able to go to uni if I didn’t sort myself out. I was just the same at college because of depression and anxiety. My health anxiety is still here, as bad as ever but everything else is just that little bit easier. Good luck! You’ll get there! X
I’m currently on medication but feel that it doesn’t work. I’m supposed to be moving to uni in September but I don’t feel mentally ready. How are you managing your mental health struggles? x
Omar Baba When did you start? It took me a quite a while for it to kick in (I was on fluoxetine (prozac)). Its such subtle changes. I never felt happier on them, I just felt numb so I could get my life back together, come off them and then work on being happy. It’s strange. Stick to them but dont come off too early and make sure you cone off them properly:)

Hey lovely! it's nearly a year on now since this video, as soon as I came back from this uni I went on medication but it didn't work for me so I had hypnotherapy counselling instead which was life changing! So amazing and would recommend it to anyone! I'm now starting at a new uni this year and hopefully I'll get on just fine :) xx

Hey Keira! :) i have a question, its very urgent.
i received an offer to study graphic design at brighton (City Campus) and as you know there are only two accomodations there. Your accom is a little expensive for me and the other one isn't as nice as those at Varley Park, (phoenix hall). i really like the accomodations at varley park but its far from the city campus. (30mins with shuttle bus). would you recommend having a nice accommodation but a further way to uni or would you rather recommend 10 mins walk to uni with a not so nice accomodation? i could really use your help :)
Hey, i know your question wasn't targeted at me whatsoever but thought I'd chip in my 2 cents, I'm going into third year now so I've lived in both halls and student houses, i would highly recommend the cheaper accommodation thats closer to the campus! I'm sure the money you save will come in handy (there loads of expenses you probably haven't even thought about and you will spend more money than you budget i promise haha). The closer you are to campus the more likely you are to attend lectures (i know loads of people who had perfect attendance at school and college but when it comes to uni everyone will probably skip classes more than they planned so the closer you are the less likely you will be to bail on lectures) and finally you will only be staying there for 9 months (including 1 month off at christmas that you will probably spend at home and a month off around April that you will also probably spend at home) it's not worth the extra money for nice first year accommodation, when you finish first year and are looking for a house that's when I'd reccomend spending a bit more on rent (even a really nice house will still be cheaper than halls as halls are the most expensive accomodation) and everyone in the cheaper accomodation will have the same rooms so you won't feel like you've missed out at all! Hope that helps a little, if you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them!
Hey, I had the same questions as you! Im planning on studying Fashion at Brighton this September and I wasn't sure where's the best place to stay. I think I'd be best off staying in Phoenix halls though! :)

Maybe we’ll bump into each other on campus 😁💞 i couldn’t choose Phoenix hall as my accommodation, so i got a place at varley park (coastland) it’s the same price but 30mins away with the bus... i hope the distance won’t be a drag tho 😅
@@emeldaosei I'll be finding out which accommodation I'll end up in once I get my results on Thursday. I put Varley as my second choice, so who knows, I may end up living there! :) Will you be studying graphic design in the Grand Parade building?
