I've got an open end and a box end wrench that fits those nuts I used to wear on as a necklace LOL. And hey just letting you know I use 12 mm spacers at each wheel and that definitely widened The stance nicely
Great video mine will be here in a couple days because of your video LOL. So you modified it by drilling and tapping into the transmission case or did you just move your holes over in the plastic skid plate Mount?? My skid plate and mount is aluminum. Thx

YES!!! I was TOTALLY shocked. Definitely has weighed the rig down in a good way AND so far has been bulletproof PLUS A SLIPPER!!! I tend to be impatient with rock crawling at times 🤪😜🤣😂👍

Been a while since I've rolled it but now that cold weather is here crawling ramps up for me. BUT I've had NO issues with it when i was rolling it. 👍💯👊
I just put steel gears in the stock case and it's a beast, also have incission drive lines. It spins donuts ...crazy for 4x4 on stock motor and esc. I just ordered the xerorun axe 3300kv system ...it's getting crazy haha
What is the purpose of the brass bolt and little screw for? I got on like yours and it doesn't have them. And the slipper is weak. Tightened as far as it goes and can spin it with my hands. Wobbly output shaft. Next time gonna make sure it's the same as yours. Great vid.
I just got this transmission. It’s ok. The spur gear wobbles like the baring is gone. But it’s not. and the slipper clutch slips even when it is tightened all the way in. I guess time will tell on how this will hold up.
its a Pro Tools brand but more for computer type stuff. I normally use my Bondhus and wolf but some reason I grabbed this one at the time. Still works good however the bits are standard shorties. Hope that helps
I installed a nice poly/plastic spur gear on mine.set the steel one to the side...4.00 plastic spur gear made it pretty quiet from there on out....way less noisy.

Thanks man! I just ordered this gearbox for my redcat. Pretty soon the only thing left to do is axels and some minor parts but I think I’ve fixed most of the prone to go issues. Haha gunna be a sick little truck when I’m done just ordered rims and weights rear bumper got some metal front end parts to😂. Have you had issues with your servo? Or any of the stock electrical components when playing it water? Wish I could throw a pic in this comment and show you my Chevy build😂
@@rodniewischow7253 that sir is a great idea to turn the skid plate around and drill new holes. I was concerned about drilling the two new holes so close together not sure how much pressure is on those bolts when climbing.

I did that transmission in my GEN seven but my wheels spin in wards and in reverse they spin out wards . Man I need help…..

I need a 87t spur steel ,? Been looking n can't find it anybody know??
Is yours also very noisy? Mine makes hell of a noise. Filled it up with grease but wasnt helping. Stock trans was very quiet.
It's all metal so more noise than the stock plastic gears but for crawling it's not bad though.
May have pinion to tight as well, if it's to tight will cause more noise
I installed a nice poly/plastic spur gear on mine.set the steel one to the side...4.00 plastic spur gear made it pretty quiet from there on out....way less noisy.

Amazon Amain hobbies. Look up scx10 transmission case, it's bolts right in. Some scx10 parts are interchangeable with the Gen7.
