Im not a mechanic so dont want to send you down the wrong road looking for a permanent fix. If its just the one door lock giving trouble then may just be a replacement door lock mechanism like the one seen in the video. Its not a straightforward DIY job, especially the mark 2 octavia. The door panels are riveted on
Worth a try, you won’t be doing any damage other than temporarily removing the plastic cap that covers the access hole. That’s assuming it has the access port to the internal locking mechanism
@@garycreighton4229 when I asked you that question a month ago, I didn't need the answer right away, but I knew I would someday, as the driver side loom wiring was slowly dying. Today was the day to try it, and I can confirm it also works on a Mk2 superb, however, on my model, you only insert the key lightly, not to push, but to turn counter clockwise like the child lock. Thank you so much for your video, as I wouldn't discovered it otherwise. I don't have money right now to fix the electrical wiring, so this is a godsend
I’m glad my video was able to help in some way. I’m sorry it was a month later replying to your question , I don’t check my gmail that often. I only made the video on the chance it may help someone in an emergency. It’s my way of giving back to the CZcams community. CZcams users have helped me a lot over the years

Does this trick work for a superb mk2?
