You have identified the real problem with Skoda doors. Cheap components!!!
Had the same issue. I opened the door and i fiddled with the lock for 2 hours trying to unlock it. Then i saw your video and it unlocked after i wiggled the lock while pressing the unlock button. Thx❤

Great job, is the door lock the same on the Skoda Roomster 2008?
My 2005 Fabia is always having problems with locks and electric windows .also the inner panel is riveted in place.who the hell thought that was a good idea.
