      Nice to see! Regardless if you want another terrarium with skinks or not, build a shelf above this one and have the terrariums facing you the way they’re meant to. Then the lids won’t be an issue. And also you can swap them for Exoterra terrariums with front opening doors, will look even better.😊

    I have been recently looking into making a palundarium for my garter snakes. They thrive a lot better "hunting" for their food, so instead of the large water dish in their tank I've been wanting to have a "pool" side for them to dive into and gobble some guppies up. Your set up helped me figure out a rough set up that I could do, so thank you for your hard work and care for your animals!

      Yep, this. Don’t make life harder-as you add more animals, it’s important to make care as easy as possible. Moving tanks back and forth sounds like it’s fine, right up until you’re tired or have a broken wrist or the flu or whatever. Always maximize ease of care, and a stair fashion like Clément suggests is fantastic!

      @@Reptiliatus I learned the hard way-I was pretty soundly incapacitated last year, and would have been really screwed without my partner. Or rather, our cats would have been really screwed. But it made me realize just how important it is to make pet care as easy as possible. 😊 We made some changes that ended up paying dividends this year, when my husband had emergency open shoulder surgery the same time I was starting treatment for an autoimmune disease. Having simplified and otherwise made care easy meant we didn’t have to risk hiring someone to come take care of our cats, which would have been risky what with the whole worldwide “situation” right now. 🤷‍♀️

    congratulations on the 100k milestone! very well deserved! I've been searching for more pet youtubers but there's many I don't like very much since I lean towards pettubers who convince me they they love and appreciate every single animal they own individually, and you're one of the few I managed to find that truly give me the vibe that these animals are more than just "a hobby" to you. it's refreshing, your pets are very lucky to have you as their owner! plus, you've taught me a bunch :)

    • @aniimako
      @aniimako Před 3 lety

      I do wanna clarify that I don't think every pettuber is a bad pet owner, I just think some of them either hoard them (especially reptile yters) just for the thrill of getting new pets or/and that they aren't taking the best care of them as possible. I'm personally not a fan of giving your pets the bare minimum enclosure and care. but nothing I mentioned seema to be the case with you, so like I said that's very refreshing! good job!

    good luck on this project. I'm going to look further into that terrarium putty. I think that's going to work great in the paludarium I'm building.

    Found this video since im wanting to make a palladium for guppies and red eyed skinks.
    As for your tanks if you flip them to tuch back to back you would only need to have lid opening space between every other tank giving you lots more room

    I love them. I also love alligators, caimans, and crocodiles. They are fascinating to me, all of them.
