Actually he planned his death with Gordon by providing him with the car and telling him to go to Wayne Tower to destroy the rail line. And then he left him to die on the train thus making it a premidated plan to kill Ra's al Ghul. So still murder. There was also no reason for him to board the train other than to make sure Ra's was on it and that he could not stop the train. So he literally boarded the train to make sure it would crash and kill him.

Even though I kinda knew she was going to be Talia, I still love this scene when she shows her true colors. People have complained that it was too much too late, but I disagree. After she reveals herself, the flashbacks of her climbing out, her father rescuing Bane and recruiting him, training him and Talia, etc.... That explains it all. And when you look back on her character before she reveals herself, she says things like "restoring balance to the world" or "do what is necessary". That's something that her father would say. If you look at it from that perspective in my opinion, it all falls into place.

Banes eyes are so full of emotions. Here when he is in tears is really touching. This monster. This evil being who beat the crap out of Batman and killed people here and there without hesitation had tears when listening to Talia and about him saving her. He was good at the beginning. If he had died there in the pit by the other prisoners, he would had died a hero. But he didn't and he did see himself become the villain.

This is probably the most underrated scene in the entire trilogy. Look at Batman at 3:25 - 3:36, the utter sadness and pain are clearly shown on his face, the way he helplessly says "please", and the fact that Batman is able to display so much emotions even with almost all of his face shielded, just makes me fathom how anybody can possibly say Christian Bale's Batman sucks...

If you think bout it Miranda was really Talia the entire time. Like when she talks to Bruce about bringing balance to the world (Ras mentioned that in BB) or telling Bruce to do what is necessary (Ras talked about that too in BB). Ra's told Bruce that if someone stands in the way of true justice then you walk up behind them and stab them in the heart, which is basically what talia did to Bats here. Nice parallels here if folks would take time to pay attention to the details.

One thing that you very rarely ever saw in Batman movies except maybe the animated series is him displaying pure emotion, here in this scene after Miranda stabs him and reveals herself to be Ra's Al Ghul's daughter, for those few minutes you can hear him speak as Bruce Wayne with his voice slowly starting to almost break down to the point of tear but he's still in full costume while she explains her actions. It's a very powerful moment which i'm very surprised doesn't come up much in conversation and it really speaks at the versality that Christian Bale brought to both personas in his performance. Bane may have broke Batman's body which in the long run will eventually heal itself but Talia broke Bruce Wayne's heart which is something that may or not fully recover.
