If it’s possible to add custom cards, this could be a source of unlimited fun to any simple mod, like weapon mods.
The way I've set the mod up it's actually very easy to add new cards with a little bit of zscript knowledge.

Check these out:
Spawns another Icon of Sin.
Revenant rockets deal Cyberdemon-level damage.
*Weapon* shoots backward, dealing damage to self.
All damaging floors become purple goo, slowing the player down and preventing jumping.
Textures are randomly replace by SOMEMONG.
A random teleporter is booby-trapped, instantly killing the player.
Sergeants have a chance of firing a BFG projectile.
The chaingun's rate of fire increases the longer the trigger is pulled and can overheat and explode, instantly killing the player.
Spawns another Icon of Sin spawn cube.
The rocket launcher is inconvenient, fires backwards and immediately flies out of the player's hands afterward.
Specters become vampiric, latching on and draining the player's blood (HP loss over time) instead of dealing bite damage.
The shotgun is flacid, the spread of each shot varying from 10 to 100 degrees. Makes a "Boi-oi-oi-oing!" when firing.
Doomguy is drunk, the player's FOV dips and turns randomly.
All maps exist in the Mirror Universe and are reflected along the X and Y axes.
Each chaingun shot fires a random hitscan or projectile.
Spawns an additonal monster.
Damaging floors are unstable pockets of reality, inflicting damage at a rate of one per 30 seconds up to 100 per second.
Arch-viles can morph into Cyberdemons.
Arch-viles can spawn monsters ranging from a former human to a Cyberdemon.
MAP11 of The Plutonia Experiment, Hunted, has a ninja's stealth, replacing all monsters in a random map with Arch-viles at intervals ranging from every one to ten maps.
The pressure wave of the Arch-vile blasts have the intensity of a MOAB, launching the player at a velocity of 171 miles per hour (275.198 km/h).
Specters are fast as fuck boi, running at a speed of nightmare plus 10 miles per hour (16.093 kilometers per hour).
Player has selected Doomguy's soul steal variation, punches now syphon monster health to the player.
Player is wearing a fire proximity suit and is no longer affected by the Arch-vile flame wall attack and Mancubus fireballs.
Player is wearing a bomb suit and is no longer affected by blast damage.
The console is cursed. Entered cheat codes, including sv_cheats 1, executes the kill command instead.
Doomguy uses the fingerpoke of doom. Fists are replaced by an index finger which instagibs any monsters upon dealing damage.
The UAC cut some corners with their chainsaws, using counterfeit Stihl gasoline-powered models. The chainsaw dps starts off at normal 2-20 damage at 525 RPM, each subsequent hit steadily decreases the damage range and RPM down to one damage at one RPM.
Doomguy has Doom 3 Marine knees. Fall damage exists in three forms: softfall, hardfall, and fatalfall inflicting 10, 30, and 300 damage respectively.
The shotgun is replaced with Doom 3's shotgun. Now does 14 damage per pellet with a 22 degree spread.
Trent Reznor's weapon sound effects infect the code. Weapon sound effects are replaced with their Trent Reznor equivalents as applicable.
The sound mixer's VU (volume unit) meter is incorrectly calibrated. All sound effects are now earrape.
Terry has infected monster spawns! There is now a chance for a monster spawn to be replaced by a random monster from Terry WADs.
Terry has warped reality! There is now a chance for a trigger to activate a random Terry trap.
The anomalous Lilith.pk3 has infected the current WAD. All textures, monsters, etc, are replaced by their Lilith.pk3 equivalents.

I am a little disappointed that you didn't run the barrel multiplier while playing Barrels o' Fun.
since its random it would be hard for Icarus to get the card without making multiple runs.

I was live streaming a number of months back and the guy who made that mod hopped into my stream and asked for me to try it out. felt like a monster shooting all these cute anime things, especially the shotgunners that are 2 little anime characters carrying a shotgun together... then you shoot them once which only kills one of them, and the other is sad and runs at you with the shotgun to avenge her fallen comrade

This is actually a really cool mod that makes old maps fun and fresh again!
This mod seems a guaranteed entertaining livestream.
Can we just appreciate all the trouble the mod creator went through to create those cards, introspecting the game sprites to render the actual appearance in the game regardless of mods. As chyrosran22 would say, impressive.
To be fair, the creator is the same person who figured out how to make a satisfying deathmatch game out of Megaman, of all franchises, and add a killer story on top of that.

I choose additional chaingunners as my first permanent card on map03, lucky i'm playing doom 2 and not plutonia for my first corruption card playthrough

Next Doom Mod Roulette Livestream he does this has to be on it. I wonder what it would look like if he combined this with BOOMPOWER, Russian Overkill and Maps of Chaos? Or take add this on top of Complex Doom Clusterfuck (Especially if he sets the corruption to Chaos mode) and try gunning for its Nemesis Macrocosm Ending?
There is also the 10x and 100x mods, which just multiply the amount of enemies and the value ammunition pick ups on the map, it should be compatible with corruption cards.
@@voidstrider801 Redundant with either of the mod setups I mentioned. With the first it will enough explosions to may even Michael Bay happy. And the second one... have you even seen Complex Doom CF? Just an FYI, this mod was made by CutmanMike, who also is the head developer on Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch, which is on version 6a, and it's become an amazing game (it's barely even a mod, since it doesn't even require Doom), though some of the later bosses are really hard. It's so incredibly polished that it stands alongside some of the best Mega Man games in terms of quality. It's worth a revisit.

Omg! Thank you so much! I could spend the entire rest of my life playing Doom mods and probably still never experience them all. But, this is definitely a great way to replay my favorite mods. I'm looking forward to trying this with the Brutal Doom and Hocus Pocus mods :)

It seems to largely affect monsters. Since RO is a weapons mod first and foremost, something tells me the effects would be relatively muted.

So I've been playing this mod alongside, Colorful Hell and La Tailor Girl, and oh my is it a lot of insane fun. It becomes the kind of entertaining chaos that I love with those three combine.

Used this with Guncaster Vindicated. It's great fun. I got that barrel card as well, which basically turned "The Gantlet" into "Barrels O Fun". I dread to think what it will be like when I get to that map.
Not covered in this video is the Dopenant. This card makes it where no other monsters spawn except one random revenant who has increased speed, Increased health, rapid fire fists that ignore armor, and a special attack that completely fucks you up if you so happen to make it flinch by having it firing 30 revenant missiles towards you in a cone. If you do kill it, it then dances itself to death and respawns somewhere else in the level. Oh and most importantly, IT SCREAMS AT YOU THE ENTIRE TIME.

You need to use bell icon (next to subscribe button) to make sure CZcams sends you every notification, not just videos that CZcams algorithm in its infinite wisdom consider worthy of your attention.

just got something cool with the space hunter mod. space hunter changes all the hitscanners to fire projectiles, and CC creates a card that makes them fire bullets instead!
And now with version 5.0 there are over 200 cards total!

DOOM: Chaingun of Memories
I just cannot play DooM without this mod active anymore, it is just a wonderful mutator that makes every WAD feel fresh and also spices things up for those that like to challenge themselves.
My only gripe is that ROM3R-0.666 is the only Boss Brain replacer option available. There's an opportunity there to have a whole roster of bosses picked from at random, potentially fighting final bosses taken from famous levels such as Eviternity, Valiant, Extermination Day, DOOM:ONE, and/or games like DooM 64, Strife, and Heretic.
This could really be its own mod. I just wanted to always offer some kind of solution for people with a ton of stacked card effects, as the Icon of Sin can be unplayable with lots of stacked effects (depending on the map).
A mod called "DeHackEd Attack" lets one choose from a variety of final bosses, from Eviternity's Archangelus, to the Leviathan from Struggle, to even "The Final Countdown" from Valiant/Lunatic.
Extra Sergeants + Flying Sergeants. oh god.

I know some people like need brutal doom to work with other mods in order to play and that is what corruption cards are for me now. I just feel naked if the mod isn't on
I've played this mod with Hellevator and Project Brutality. It was surprisingly fun and you get an alternative text at the end of the MegaWAD (if it has an "Icon of the Sin" final map in it) if you choose the "Hand of Baphomet" card and defeat them.
I won't spoil who this fella is or what the message is about. You'll have to see it for yourself.
I think this is a pretty good reason to pick doom 2 back up again 👍

Zenith for Unreal Tournament. I came across that one a month or so back and played a little bit of it. It was one of those mods that was halfway to being its own standalone title.
It was a little rough around the edges in some parts, but I am a sucker for those kind of games.

CZcams has been messing with video contrast since July. You have to get extra steps for your vids or this will happen

Maybe for every 10 or so regular cards in the deck there could be a buff card, I count barrels as one.
My favorite card so far has to be the one that allows a particular monster type to just pick up another monster and carry them around piggyback
