- I review the MVP Photon in both Fission and Neutron plastics. This is a distance driver with flight rating 11 | 5 | -1 | 2.5.

This is a really good review. Different plastics, different weights, all thrown three different ways. With a brief insight to how the wind effects them. And straight to the point. If only all disc reviews were so on point.
Keep up the great work man. You make the best disc reviews I’ve ever seen
Thanks.
Hey man, I like your reviews. I do have to say though that if you have a couple discs, buying out all the rest defeats the video. There will be people who will want to go out and try out the disc and can't find one.
Easy for me to say though. Here in western Canada, two years later, I worked out what disc I wanted and got to go to the shop and pick out the colour Photon I wanted. She's a beaut.
Disc golf here is growing like crazy after Covid.
Cool Jam during final thoughts!
Live in US but learned to play while working in Brisbane. Great video!
Your reviews are great. I cannot think of anything missing. You covered it all.
Another good review. I agree it’s a great utility disc, I’ve got 3 in my bag.
Marshall Street is a gem. 💎
Really well done review. Good camera work, and the follow flight lines really help with tracking the path. Where are you located? I kept looking at the gum trees in the background and wondering if that was W or E Oz?
Located in Sydney, Oz
I never realized how big Marshal Street is. I lived about a half hour away, a little further now.
Love and bag the Photon Fission 146g regular version. Maybe before the series x . I throw this and the Wraith 11 5 -1 3 and love these! Photon is for control less wind. Wraiths for more wind or fade very good control. Love these combined with the Wave for my long bomb.
I'm not sure how long it will stay in my bag just because I prefer the consistency and with this disc I can get more out of the Insanity and Inertia. I would say that I have average arm strength and this disc is insanely flippy. But on the good side it does out throw my destroyer without being nearly as hard to throw. I consistently get 360ft and now I'm getting closer to 300' at the most with the same disc and even with a little more hyzer flip action. Can't say I've been disappointed in the least. Great video
Great Video
Love the reviews bud
Much appreciated
Picked up one of these in the Cosmic Neutron plastic and somewhere between 171-174 grams and this thing is super overstable. Can get it to hold straight for about 275-300 feet but fades real hard during the last 40-50 feet. Definitely want to grab a few more of these in some of the lower end plastics and lighter weights so I can get a little more flex out it as I've found their other 11 speed, the Wave, to be super flippy at my arm speed.
Yeah, the max weight ones in Cosmic Neutron can be real beefy.
I throw exclusively MVP. I have 2 fusion photons . I throw them forehand only.
Bought a cosmic neutron one mainly for throwing forehand but might get a lighter fission one now :)
Highly recommend both. All fission discs are different to Neutron and give you a lot of variety from the same mold.
Which of the discs disc did you throw ~120 metres?
Green fission photon
My 165g Fission Photon is stupid over stable, can't flip it no matter what. Love it though
Mine is also so stupidly overstable. And mine is 174 so you could Imagine how this one just want to land vertikale
Is the Plasma Version of this domey or is it flat?
Unfortunately I can't help answer this one as I've never thrown the plasma (love the Fission too much). Hopefully a subscriber or plasma Photon fan will be able to answer this one.
@@DiscGolfDownUnder Done a little bit of research and it looks like overall Plasma isn't 'domey' but more dome than the Neutron.
@@JBearwa I've got the volt and tesla in plasma, neither are domey but they've held stability longer than neutron does. I throw in the woods a lot so they've all taken a beating.
The Plasma ones I have are mostly flat.
Why u buyin all of Australia’s and America’s fission photons. Save some for us bro😭
Looks like MVP have just released a heap of new stock. The great Fission Photon shortage looks like it's coming to an end.
Am I tho only one who finds the neutron photon ridiculously overstable? I throw about 380 as a consistent max distance and can’t get the photon to stay in the air at all. Fission is pretty nice tho.
When I first started I had the same experience. The Photon does need a bit of beating in and it also needs decent arm power. My experience went from "this thing is too overstable" to "I need more beef".
My photon is INSANELY OVERSTABLE. it sucks lol
Haha. I've got a few of those too. Some Photons are pure beef.
