    Thanks for sharing. I might add that when I made the change I first attached the gasket to the shower screen. This made the alignment simple, and ensured the gasket wasn’t upside down!

    Having the same issue. So frustrating. Going to buy new sealing washers now. I know why you keep your hand on the portafilter handle during extraction. ^^

This machine can't handle high pressures, coffee isn't hot enough on high temp setting, pressurised baskets gives watery coffee that tastes off, just bin any dedica. I've seen so many tutorials for so many issues, at this point give up on the machine and buy a similar model that doesn't come with pressurised baskets

    I face exactly the same issue, and after sending to service center a few times, their conclusion is because I don't use the original portafilter. I order a new gasket now and hopefully can fix this

    Hello, tell me do you need to hold the portafilter so that it doesn't screw out? That's how it is with me, I bought a new portafilter that is not original and if I don't keep it, it flies out. I also noticed that after 3 years of using the device and the original portafilter, when I go to put it on, I don't have to hold the device, because when it was new it was hard to put on and you had to hold it with one hand. I hope that the new head gasket will help.

    how the water tank can be cleaned regularly? It needs to be cleaned to avoid from bacteria in it. Is it enough just only rinsing it with water regularly or which other tips can you recommend?

      Maybe he experienced rotating portafilters from time to time especially when using a bottomless portafilter. Most of us (and even the service center guys) thought it's the gasket but it's the hard plastic that holds the portafilter. Sad it can't be replaced anymore.

      @@dwendaycoffee5036 wow! I only use 13.5g otherwise the portafilter will rotate and becomes loose. I brought it at the service center and they thought it's the gasket but it's new. They concluded it's the hard plastic in the group head that holds the portafilter. Once it lost thread it can never be replaced. They also said that the basket is made out of alloy so it normally melts due to heat so I just bought a new original portafilter and it's quite tight enough but sometimes it just rotates again.

      @@bogdanbuciu2154 you know what - I take my words back. I replaced the gasket several times with no success, but just recently discovered that the portafilter (which was damaged) was the cause of the leakage.

    • @bogdanbuciu2154
      @bogdanbuciu2154 Před rokem

      I've discovered the same thing and also the type of Coffee user was causing this. Because the Coffee will swell up due to the fact it was to fine grained. So these are also factors that can cause a leakage.

      @noamg4019 Před rokem

      @@bogdanbuciu2154 I usually put 14-15 grams in a basket (of double espresso), there should be no leak even if it is totally clogged due to very fine grinding.
