@alakazam0master the splitscreen footage is me doing a cover of the song.. the drums you hear in the video is me playing and not the ingame footage. The FC I did is from a different run. I mjust synced the 2 different videos together so that people can see how a rock band chart works compared to actually playing the real thing. It gives you a great guideline.. but it is impossible to make it flawless.
I'm not sure about that. It's a tricky FC but it was never very difficult to pass or even get a good score on. There are plenty of songs that wipe the floor with this in terms of difficulty.

These are T9KX From Roland, costs around 2k, but if you dont have that kind of money you can always go with the TD4 US$700, I use a td4 myself, and the only problem is that I cant remap the Hi-hat as Blue for open and Yellow for Closed.

@Xenochria This is the TD-9.. idk how the TD-4 works but you can map open hi hat on this module... it is pretty much impossible to play with tho.. It is very sensitive.. if u just open it a tiny tiny bit.. it will register as a blue (if that is what you mapped it to be) there is a slight delay on it too.. so whenever you close it.. it takes it 0,5 seconds or something to go back to yellow..

I give drummers all the credit in the world for how they can control all 4 limbs independently. I just got a RB3 set about a week ago and I can play almost everything at medium, but when they start adding other stuff (on hard, etc) that throws off rhythm, I fail hard. I guess it'll just take a LOT of getting used to. And I don't have the hi-hat pedal either. Props for doing that song as if it were nothing. :)

@psndude93 Everything about my setup is on my channel. You need a controller called 'Madcatz Midi Pro Adapter' to hook up your E-kit to the game. You simply connect your e-kit to the adapter with a regular Midi cable. The adapter then connects to your XBOX with a USB port.

With a kit like this and decent skills, I'm not sure why you'd bother with the game. Do people think the game is a good way to learn a song?
I think they're a completely different experience, in real drumming you can put soul into your playing because of the natural response it gives you. In rockband you're really just hitting the right drum at the right time, which includes of course technicality. It gives it the fun of playing a videogame but doesn't actually feel like you're actually playing the music.
i used guitar hero drums to learn the real drums, im extremely good now. i also practice my real drums with laggy youtube videos of guitar hero drums since i dont have the game anymore. the game even has a free play mode, turning the drumset into basically an electric drumset to free style on, so yes, its a good way to play ^_^ people like me are the proof! of course there are differences, but they are SMALL hurdles.. if you can play any song on expert+ on guitar hero, youd be a decent drummer in real life too! its that easy!
I myself try to advocate this. Yes, you can learn the basics of drumming and even some more advanced stuff...JUST from playing rockband and/or guitar hero drums! I know because I started with rockband and now I play real drums and pretty damn well! Through rockband I already learned a lot of the more common fills, grooves, etc. even some rudiments like paradiddles and whatnot before I even tried real drums so I feel like I was at a huge advantage over someone who didn't play before tryin real drums

It's more rock band's tight hit window that makes that's hard. I would say that's easier when playing/performing on drums than in rock band.
It just *looks* and sounds really impressive, but yeah, the timing on rock band can make it a LITTLE harder than it ought to be.
