LOOK: NATO hold air and sea exercises along its eastern flank | ANC

On The Scene: Five Eurofighter Typhoon jets from the German Air Force conducted air policing exercises near Lielvarde Air Base in Latvia on Wednesday (April 17), as part of NATO's rotating Baltic air policing mission. On the southern end of the alliance's eastern flank, the Romanian navy conducted a military drill in the Black Sea near the port of Constanta on Tuesday (April 16). The multinational exercise, dubbed "Sea Shield 24," takes place on the Romanian coast from April 8 to 21 and involves twelve allied and partner countries, including Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and the United States.
