I was ecstatic when you gave the build Quality a good vote of confidence. Very encouraging to hear. Fantastic job Kevin Good point about the water proofing. 💧
Thanks for the teardown of this strangely good begode wheel. Wish they colored every part differently, so a tech amateur like me can easily reconnect everything.
When i think of it, there is no need for holes for the fan. The design must be for the hot air to move around inside the all aluminum box (Except for the top plastic cover) and drop the inside temperature by simple heat transfer conduction.
Always do a great job breaking down the wheel's weaknesses. I have an EX20s coming soon. Hopefully I will see you examine that wheel next Please include max stock charging amperage as well in the review
Awesome video! Be careful with the tail light and its wires, my Hero has the same light and it stopped working a couple weeks in and I had to replace the LED strip and wiring.
The small rubbers are to not loose much of the already short wheel travel. I wonder how the suspension linkage sleeves could be improved, I don't see them staying quite long term . Thanks Kevin. Always injoy your videos
Thanks for this excellent tear down. You will be my reference for putting this wheel up and running since I already ordered it and can't wait to get it. One thing i don't understand is the obsession of the perfect waterseal. The way i see it, first, i would never wash my wheel with a pressure hose, always a damp rag and second i always check the weather before going out but if by bad chance i would hit a bit of rain, imo, there are very, very little chance of water getting there. There are just too many ups a downs to find its way in and hitting the electronic boards directly. Anyway time will tell. Good work ! Thanks.
I agree yes it is smart not to purposely get the wheel overly wet, however the weather is not always predictable and can change on you when you are riding miles from home. I've personally gotten swamped in some sudden downpours and was thankful my v-11 was designed to handle that type of situation . Great manufacturing effort by Begode as far as using rust proof metal down to the screws, but to leave the most expensive parts (the circuitry) "possibly" vulnerable to the elements is nonsensical. Especially when a simple rubber gasket eliminates the "possibility" of water damage. This would probably up the waterproof rating as well which adds commercial value to the wheel. I do see validity in your point. I'm just always in the "better safe than sorry" school of thought.
@@ostumbling hi Mike. Like i wrote, when all the covers are properly placed on this wheel, there are very little chance for water to actually channel up and down all the cracks and bends to endup "on" the board and short it out. I also imagine that the board is raised a bit from the bottom of the control box making it even harder for water to damage it if it does seep in. Also the design with a Fan require an input and output of air so even with a gasket, openings of some kind is necessary. I will get this wheel and will look into it myself and probably make my own mods. Even then i will look at the weather before ! lolll
It looks better built than previous gotway models... But my sherman max is currently being delivred to me, can't really justify to buy a master on top of that.
Sir can I ask if I can wash my begode master with pressure washer? I really have a problem for cleaning because im affraid it will fry my unit. Thankyou very much in adv
So there's no USB port on this? I always loved how my MSuper and Monster let me charge my phone while riding. Looks like that's a thing of the past on the Master and S22. 😕
@@eucupgrades It would be silly to be upset over every generation of iPhone, where you get 15-25% CPU boosts. If you want the latest and greatest then buy it every year or whenever you see a leap. People should be happy that EUC are going through rapid prototyping. This is a fastest engineering method to make a product better than waiting yearly cycles! That being said, I understand the politic of someone being afraid of the Master would not sell as hot for maximum profit. Silly world.
On Begode/Gotway wheels the connector sparks when plugged while charger is disconnected. Please try to plug with the charger disconnected to see if sparks.
Not anymore. On this Master the power adapter doesn’t spark. Plug in or unplug, It looks like it has a load built in to stop it from spark. I also reported to Begode to add a charging ON/ OFF switch so one can switch off the live socket on the wheel’s charging port when you are not charging the wheel to stop your finger getting burn or shock.
I'm guessing the reason the suspension wiggles a bit at about 37:24 in the video is because there is nobody standing on the pedals. I bet once there is a bit of tension on the suspension from a person standing on the pedals, that the wiggles will be gone.
@@Nautical33 I am not sure. I guess I will better understand when I have mine here for further investigating. I know that on many vehicles, loose is ok when fully un-sprung and even a superior design. In this video the wheel/motor is on its side and has zero weight on it. I wonder if this play is still there when the tire is on the ground and the weight of the rest of the body is pushing down on it. As long as the actuation of the linkage system is smooth during a ride (and not clanking around), I think we are ok.
S20/S22 has nothing to do with build quality at all. 3 years old gotways were built better . S22 was the shittiest wheel on the mark... oh wait a minute 😀😀
Cons: 1. Begode needs to add another rubber to the top and bottom of the damping rods (haven't you learned from Hero..). 2. Suspension need to be 130-150 mm travel. 3. Need 3600 Wh battery! 4. Have a rubber seal all around the top electronic metal compartment. 5. Have a 3 digit for the screen.. Master HT could only reach 56 mph, maybe your HS matched what you have shown us.
@@grb1969 Ex20s builds like a tank, its quite heavy as a result. So Master took a dif route of having rubbers all around it body. Thats what every hardcore riders have been doing, they just doing more Frankensteinish then Begode did it for the Master.

Good point about the water proofing. 💧
Thank you! These videos are so important for EUCs because of their questionable build quality and safety.
Amazing tear down video! Thank you for addressing the knocking sound, i thought my shock was broken
Great VIDEO, Thx for informatiin about wheel.
fantastic video, great wheel

Please show us how the fork works.. the quality of the seals etc.
Can you please show a video on how to change the tire on the Master. I hope it won’t involve an almost full tear down.
Really Really good video! Could you make one to change the tire?

Do you think it's easy to remove the tire\motor from the rod? For tire changes?
It should be quite easy only the control board bit you have to be careful. They should put a junction box on the rod for easy tire change.

no USB port or music speaker on Master only on the Hero has both.
What's going on with that suspension assembly been so loose ?
Could you please show what's wrong with it ?
once the suspension is pump up it is not loose anymore. and works quite well. Watch my next video coming soon.

@The Brahan Seer they need to get with the times and make the plugs gender-less 😂
no sparks if you have charger powered on first.

Hi the light do not flash while charging. Have you try turning the light off in the Begode app to see if it will stop.

That's not the point , it needs to be tight ,movment free which will reduce noise and wear on the arms..
