Co-designed with the revered pedal designer Shin Suzuki, the MXR Shin Juku is designed to capture the incomparable tone of the legendary Dumble Overdrive Special boutique amp. Being that putting your hands on an existing Dumble amplifier might put a five figure hole in your wallet, the MXR seems like a fair shot in the right direction. Shin’s personal knowledge of the Dumble is behind this respectful homage to a highly sought after tone.
Providing an amp-wide-open, creamy and harmonically rich overdrive with sustain for days and a fast touch sensitive response time, letting all of the details of your playing shine through.
From a very organic sounding boost to fat, juicy overdrive.

I've been using this pedal on my board for a couple of years now and it is hands down the best overdrive I've used in a full band setting. It'll cut through the mix like nobody's business and make every nuance stand out clear and defined. I have the Simble/Twimble on the board as well and it's too fuzzy compared to the Shin-Juku. A real sleeper pedal!
Great playing!
great demo!!!!
great sound
saw Earth live a few years ago, Dylan Carlson was using one of these - sounded unbelievably good, completely immersive. His unique style was a big part of that though.
Very nice, thank you.
Nice pedal - great player.
This is actually very unbelievable the tone is unbelievable
I have this pedal and keeping it 👍🏼
A useful demo: I'd seen a few demos that seemed make this pedal a bit thin and grainy, and well... unremarkable and unmusical. I still think there can be a bit of graininess, but you've made the pedal sound musical and useful. My opinion of the pedal has changed from "meh, probably not" to "ok, there more to consider here". Thanks.
Great demo, one bitchin' sounding pedal..
Does anyone know is these make good boost pedals, without colouring the tone of the amp. Similar to a micro amp
Shin-Juku! The title says Juju!
A little Motley Crue, a little ....Ratt? I couldn’t get the riff before the slide guitar. Hmmm. Dokken?
