Ah, I get the same Holman Field message on my screen, small world. My RTH doesn’t work in my backyard. I only fly the height of my house. Maybe I need to adjust my Altitude Zone?
I was very disappointed to discover only after using the mini 4k that the cruise control and waypoint flight mode were taken away, both very simple to implement via software on the equipment, which even though it is the entry-level one has the same platform as the mini 2 which has these functions and also the transfer via wifi. I hope that DJI admits the mistake and soon puts these functions in its application for the mini 4k.
Just got my first drone the mini 4k and I'm super excited & nervous.

one should not cancel the other out. Try checking in the FLY AP how you have RTH set up. Go to the FLY AP menu in setup
Where were you adjusting the EV exposure on the go? I find the 'blown out' sky an issue but yet to master adjusting

The mini 2 has a brighter image
that can be changed by increasing the EV setting on the mini 4K
