    I got to see him around '90. It was a small club in Baltimore. He brought it 100%. Getting to see Alvin in an intimate setting was an amazing previlage for me. I'm pretty sure I smiled through every moment of his show.
    Great guitar tone from his trademark 335 into his Marshall stacks. Awesome!

      Was that HammerJacks? if so, I thought it was in 89 and they opened up with Rock n Roll Music to the World. That was the best TYA show I ever saw. They sounded just like the Recorded Live record in 72 that night.

    • @stratolestele7611
      @stratolestele7611 Před 8 měsíci

      @@dickgoesinya9419 No, it was actually an intimate setting which was awesome. Stage was only about a foot high (low ceiling) that was just a few doors down from a club I was bartending at in Fell's Point. I'd recognize the name if I heard it (on the tip of my tongue). It was on the corner of S. Broadway and Aliceana . I'm sure it's long gone, but it was sure great. Great time in my life. I really enjoyed Baltimore. They had a great music scene and I was in the thick of it.
      I loved Hammerjacks and saw some great shows there. Probably my favorite, was one that caught me off guard at how strongly they rocked - The Smithereens. Epic live show! My respect for them went off the charts after that one show.

I looked over at Alvin and was he pissed! He didn't tell us to get out of the boxes but he was not happy. He was probably afraid we'd knock over the equipment. We behaved and the concert was great.
