Son, listening to this story and being a hmong woman myself, I know how HARD it is to be a nyab. Especially when your husband's side doesn't like you. It sounds to me like your father and your grandparents filled you with lies. They are doing EVERYTHING they can to keep you away from your mother. You need to understand that when the parents don't like the daughter in law, they will do whatever they can to destroy their son's marriage. Hmong parents from that era are VERY TOXIC!!! My parents are one of them. If they can't control you, they'd rather disown you. To them, it's all about control. They don't want to see their children happy. Your mom was right, your dad’s side of family didn’t like your mom so they were trying to do everything to get rid of her. If your mom didn’t love you or never loved you like your dad and your grandparents told you, she would never have gave you her life insurance policy. You do not need anyone to tell you the whole story, you know your mom loved and still loves you even after she passed away. You have mentioned that you still young and you already have a nice big house and have a decent life because you have no one help, you work hard from your own hands. Dude, No, you did Not. Sorry for the misfortune between your mom and dad. It is very sad. I’m sure you can still find answers about your parents. Your grandparents from your dad claims your mom was a trouble maker and got looked up, if that was true there would be police records. Your mom said your dad and his parents called cops on her because she was putting your life in danger, she went to court to fight for your custody but lost. Most likely those cases would be on file. Honestly, the issue stemmed from your grandparents. Do you think your wife will continue to stay with you if your parents treat her like a slave and you can’t defend her?
