Those talking heads are just that though, talking heads, they aren't there for sports analysis, they're there to make outrageous statements that get people to talk about those statements and create engagement on their platforms and ultimately, make money, and they're damn good at it, they'll claim they're experts, because it gets people to criticize them for saying they're experts
No real sports analyst would ever make the generalized all encompassing claims these guys make, because sports are volatile and entirely unpredictable

Jokic dominates the sport with his brain, most fans are too dumb to see it. Not to mention he may be the best in shape athlete in any sport. You never see him tired, lazy or discouraged as Luka sometimes gets. I been watching since 1979, Jokic is easily the best I have ever seen.

I mean I do understand where he's coming from.
Basically Jokic isn't as cool, or marketable as Kareem, Magic, Bird, Jordan, Lebron or Curry.
He isn't doing commercials like that, or any of that stuff.
I absolutely agree you can't hold that against him. Even if he's the best player, it isn't his job to be cool and marketable if he isn't interested.

No. That's a bullshit take, and I can prove you're wrong.
It entirely depends on what the individual is innately good at that is what they should focus on.
Most people can train hard enough to be as athletic as JJ Reddick was.
However, it is completely impossible to teach a stupid person to be smart.
If Russell Westbrook had spent his development focusing on being a smart player instead of an athletic player, he would have never made the NBA.
Similarly if JJ had focused on being athletic, he wouldn't have made it.
You have to focus on your strengths, and you have to actually have strengths in the first place.
Training, effort, and trying hard to improve are vastly overrated.
LeBron James wouldn't be a 75% free throw shooter if practice could make you good at everything.

Like he dont give a shit about stats he just gets what the defense gives him. You doubt him and are gonna have a 20 assist game and 10 points. There is no ego on that guy.

Those who did not want him to win a 3rd consecutive MVP voted against him in 2023 and will do so again this year. Racism exits in the "we are the NBA" members. He is a humble individual and a real role model, something that seems to be lacking in the NBA
