Hi Kseniya! Thanks for your guidance. I have checked and watched all videos related to my case. My husband and I were confident doing the forms & submissions by ourselves. We were initially considering of hiring an immigration lawyer, but changed our mind when we listened to all relevant vids from you. Last week, we got already the I-130 approval notice without interview. It’s 13mos of waiting! We’re now waiting for my green card approval 🙏 Thanks again!
How long is the complete process?
@@jbferrer3, my case was 1 yr and 27 days to be exact. About 13 months. We did not hire a lawyer. We ensured we correctly filled-in the form and submitted strong supported documents. NO interview was done. I just had biometrics and then to our surprise we got the approval 13months from date of submission. We know of friends who were subjected to interview/s and waited for more than 2yrs though.

@@herlanej, hi I sent one pack with all the docs including the Advanced Parole and the vaccines. I properly label and segregated all docs. There is a video by Kseniya on how to properly prepare the packets with all docs which I also followed. Hope this helps.

Hello there, I have made the payment for the Affidavit of Support and IV fees on behalf of my mother. However, I have discovered that according to her NVC case status, the interview location is listed as Cairo, Egypt. This is quite surprising because we actually filed her change of status form, i-485, on August 1, 2022, while she has been residing with me in Texas, USA. The most recent step in the I-485 process was her biometrics appointment, which took place in Texas in August 2022.
I filled the I-485 in parallel with the I-130. In the I-130 form, I filled the residence location of my mother in Egypt, but in the I-485 form, the residence location is in Texas, US, as I filled the I-485 while she was staying with me in USz, and that's why we made the adjustment of status for her.
Now that the payment for the Affidavit of Support and IV fees has been made, I would like to know how to adjust the interview location to a Texas location. Thank you, and I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I screwed up and answered BOTH questions 61 A-B and 62 A-B-C.
made a mistake of answering NA 5 years ago. I130 was approved but had to file I824 and $400+ per child plus 5 months more added time before forwarded to NVC.
My mother is living in the United States but is undocumented. We are petitioning for I-130. She will continue live in the U.S while we wait for a response.

I am helping my daughter in law apply for her marriage green card but she does not want to apply for US citizen at this time. She is currently in Thailand. My son is there on an educational visa and they have lived together for last two years in Thailand. He plans on becoming a dual citizen with Thailand and US. At this time she is not applying for adjustment of status. She has never been to US but she wants to come here and stay for a couple of years and then move back. So in this case, what do I answer on these questions?
Regardless of which one you are doing/answering, so lets say going through consular processing, should you leave the other section for adjustment of status in US blank or fill in n/a for not applicable?

If you submitted and paid for an application in error USCIS will not refund your fees. your affidavit of support and fee for it will be submitted in the CEAC portal after the NVC sends you confirmation welcome email

Hello. Let me begin by thanking you for your in-depth 1 hour long video on filling out the I-130. It was very helpful and helped us alot.
The only question I had that you did not address in the video was: For the 5 year employment history, do you have to include gaps in employment?
For example would you put currently employed as business 1, then put unemployed for 4 months after you quit the previous job at business 2? And then fill out business 2?
I'm not sure if I should do that or just put business 1, 2, 3 and 4. Without including the 1 or 2 month gaps in between them.

Yes you should explain your gaps in employment as “unemployed” to make sure the application is as complete as possible

Hi I am American and visit Mexico every 6 months and live with my hubby here....after 6 months I go back to usa for 2 days and wait there. Then I re apply for my permission to be in Mexico for another 6 months. This is how we have done it for many years. My hubby bought a land and we built a cabin but the owner of the land refuses to give us the deed. Can you give examples of how an alien might already be in the United States when petition I-130 hasn't been filed for them yet? I understand the K-3 nonimmigrant visa can help a spouse wait inside the US while the petition is still being processed, but it's unknown whether a K-3 visa will be approved before the petition is. If the K-3 visa is approved and the spouse comes to the US before the I-130 is approved, would that mean the I-130 should say they're applying for an adjustment of status in the US? But how could we possibly know that at the time we file the I-130?
Many people come to the U.S. on a different type of visa (student, visitor, work, etc) and end up marrying someone and staying here to adjust status.

I had the same problem while filling out the I-130 I did not know what should I write on questions 62 a,b, and c because my wife is in Afghanistan and currently there is not any active US embassy. So, I had to fill out the I-824. now it has been 32 days have not gotten any updates because of the situation and not being an active US embassy in Afghanistan, Is there is any way to ask the USCIS to expedite my case. the I-130 got approved for my wife in 2 weeks.

You can put preferred interview location however the embassy makes the final decision to accept the case or not in that country.
