I like this theory. Jeff is actually just role-playing us enjoying Chaos dwarf content. There is layers to the role-play, a role play within a role-play if you will.
I'd like to think he has a tabletop game going on for decades now, that copies the development of his own Chaos Dwarf empire hehe. Really enjoying your content btw, popped up in my reccommended few days ago. Hope your channel prospers!
Great video, very funny and very informative. One thing you did leave out was how to best utilize armaments for army building strategies, but economically this is a super strong strategy.
I might have yet another big idea in my head. This time a bounty hunt with Skarbrand! By that I mean I think I figured out a route to get the most powerful defeat traits for Skarbrand in the fastest way. However, it does mean you will have to ignore some for much later or completely. Furthermore I have a disclaimer to make before I get to the pathing: I have yet to put that path to the test myself and there's bound to be improvements down the line! I will give an update or two when I found severe changes in the path and potential tricks that allow to go further without certain exploits. When you start as Skarbrand, walk close to the Greenskins, then add the hero to your army, so that you reach them in one go, kill them, run back to your own settlement and recruit some chaos warriors (for the armor, you will thank me later with the fights that are to come.) After that you go as close to Queek as possible and recruit some more. It shouldn't bankrupt you and then the fun begins, the bounty hunt, if you will! Your first target is Queek for his delicious defeat trait. After taking the headtaker's skull for your throne, use his settlements to sack some more favor and move towards Imrik, the next target, his bonus vs Large will come in handy not much later! Once you've shown the knife ear his place, I suggest making your way straight up north and put the skull of Tretch to the skull throne, more speed for the speed demon! After that you unfortunately have a few turns to spend without good fights, as the next target for a defeat trait would be Grimgor. His armor piercing damage and extra armor on Skarbrand make for a delightfully devilish combination to take down Kholek, whose trait will also make you stronger. After showing Kholek the door, I suggest to run up north and show the Everchosen why you are Khorne's strongest. After that Malus is a delicious target for his armor piercing trait. At the northern Chaos wastes, there's two choices to get around, you can either go back and head into the Empire to cause chaos - or you can go all the way to Naggarond, take Valkia's trait for good measure and head to Cylostria's capitol and claim it. This is one of the few settlements I highly suggest sacking and then claiming. It allows you for an easy and quick path towards the disgusting island of the knife ears and finish off the Slaanesh worshippers to show which one is the mightiest of all chaos gods! (And of course to fulfill your long victory conditions). I advise using the army summon ability and the quest battle to restore your movement when you run into a battle drought, to keep your momentum going. I am not sure that it will be the most efficient way to get your long term, but if the stars align and Khorne bestows his blessing upon you, maybe you get lucky and Valkia causes a cult to spawn near Naggarond, which could perhaps allow you to speed up some of the way after dealing with Malus Darkblade. Furthermore I made an extremely simplified map with the route scribbled in and the lords with particularly strong defeat trait for Skarbrand marked. The summary of the lords to target will mainly be: Queek -> Imrik -> Tretch -> Grimgor -> Kholek -> Archaeon -> Malus. After Malus I suggest to either use a cult to teleport Skarbrand to Naggarond or continue on the way there and making sure to claim Valkia's trait. I am very certain that this should work perfectly fine with Skarbrand, as long as you skill up your blue line first for replenishment and most importantly movement, and making sure to keep your magic high for the movement bonus from that. Blood for the blood god!
Immediate correction, the innitial route takes too long before it snowballs. So I am working on a slightly different route to get as many great traits as possible in the shortest amount of time. I already have several ideas I'll test out later today.
I made a nice discovery with patch 5.0.1! It's heavily RNG reliant, but you can get Gotrek absolutely goated and overpowered beyond everything in the game (aside from the Thunderbarges, but we don't talk about them right now). So in order to get Gotrek absurdly powerful, you need to play Grand Cathay (doesn't matter who you pick). Then you need to do your caravans and save scu- I mean get lucky with the bejeweled dagger drop. For whatever reason Gotrek (not Felix, only Gotrek) can carry Casting Items if you play as any other order faction than the dwarfs. Now give him the funny bejeweled dagger, which grants absurd wardsave and regeneration and you make the already powerful dwarf even more powerful. This one is not just some theory crafting like the Skarbrand idea, this one is extremely easy to pull of - albeit a bit tedious to manipulate the RNG (or reload your save until you get the damn dagger).
Found your Nurgle video today and thoroughly enjoying the content, hope to see more in the future! What's your current experience with the game btw, are at least some of the issues you addressed in your first video fixed?
Thank you! More is on its way! I love the game, but I do get bitterly frustrated by it. What could have been the strategy game to end all strategy games, just feels rushed and unfinished. I love the game and that's why I care so deeply for it's future. But to answer your question, nothing has really changed. All of the bad stuff is still in. Crap sieges, bad AI, and some whack game design decisions... I enjoyed the Chaos dwarves, so there is that. Long story short. The game has so much potential, which feels like it's being squandered.
@@BlakesTakes420 thanks for the detailed reply. Sad to hear that, I really enjoyed Warhammer 2 and had high hopes for this one, like the majority of the fanbase. I wanted to wait until it's properly finished before getting the game, but sadly it takes way longer than expected.
Understandable. It's definitely playable. And at its core a good game, just extremely rough around the edges. With the road map I hope the future of the game is a bit brighter, but it's really concerning that a lot of issues remain unaddressed. I appreciate things like this take time, but the game has been out a year now.
Great video yet again sir. Didn't know about the raiding and it would have been super useful. I've been trying to create a super powerful Ally to conquer the map. So far I liken it to a cold war style approach, as it's only worked with them becoming a powerful second to my almighty empire. I'd like to take a back seat while my super Ally paints the map each turn. Perhaps give them some direction and additional funding to help the cause. If anyone wanted to take that idea and run with it, feel free.
I just tried this and the caravans appeared one by one from round 5 onward and auto resolve wasnt as kind to me as it was to you, what difficulty did u do this video on?
yo that bros comment was unreal. i had to pause the vid to try to see what he was even talking about. imagine ranting that hard on a youtube vid about unrelated nonsense.
Pretty bare bones on the cheese, here. There's two solid traits(on overseers) you can get for even more value. Considered increases hero recruit rank by 1 factionwide and Cruel increases raiding income by 10%. Additionally you want to make sure your armies aren't scuffed up. Raiding income is based entirely on how many models are in the raiding army. Having beat up gobbos reduces your income and we don't tolerate that kind of work ethic here at Amazon. Oh, and, chaos dwarfs have underway stance, just hop the mountain into nagashizzar, there's no reason to go around, lol. If anything it's more dangerous since Imrik always takes his main army over to the right to kill ogres, ghorst, and kugath.
Seeing that Warhammer is actually older than Amazon, it's entirely possible that Jeff is just an overly zealous Chaos Dwarf player.
