Great video, your mic sounds like it’s exceeding its threshold and blowing out though:(

Yeah sorry about that. We use a blue yeti mic and it’s too good sometimes I’ll try and make sure the audio is better balanced next time.

I know it's difficult to believe there are still newcomers to Skyrim but they are about. I'm always happy to help newbies but one bit of advice I ignore myself to often, whatever your main weapon is carry a spare of some kind or a means to hit back. A lot of draugr use shouts too and disarm can be a pain in the backside.

Good advice. Hate that disarm shout when I’m not using it! 😂

    Fantastic vid!!
As a Skyrim nerd myself, I would also recommend to new players that, after their first playthrough, they install the Unofficial Patch.
I speak from experience, I had a really high level character, finished nearly every faction, Main Quest and Dawnguard, but then I noticed my favourite quest Lost to the Ages wasn’t starting due to discovering a location tons of saves ago.
It’s frustrating bugs like that that make me stop playing every now and then, but the Unofficial Patch has made my newer games mostly free from really disruptive bugs like that.
You might not be able to do some well-known glitches and exploits with it installed, but it’s a small price to pay for getting rid of a bunch of really annoying problems.

I know the feeling. I remember being unable to complete Blood on the Ice once, the game was convinced I’d already solved the murders and I couldn’t get rid of the strange amulet. Thankfully the patch let me finish it properly.

good vid! as a skyrim vet too my main tip is to not bother with mods for your first playthough! i basically dont play without mods at this point, but thats because i know what i do and dont like about the game and am familiar with its systems. but i played without mods until about two years ago, and enjoyed it plenty. just jump in and have fun!

That’s my approach. I think us Skyrim vets have our own way of playing the game but mods are something I would leave until you’re more familiar with the game.
