hi, when i clicked on your google doc link to nexus mods it consistently gave me an error message where it could not upload the page, do you have any idea how to circumvent that? i cant seem to find the mods individually as i cant quite get the names even with englis autogenerated subtitles and i would love to download these mods

Great video dude. I am an experienced modder but I've recently returned and have been scouring youtube lists. I absolutely love the cities and the architecture overhauls you featured here.
For folks installing that may be new to modding a few tips.
Start from the ground up, quite literally, almost the way he has listed them in the video,
Do your landscapes, then your mountains, your grass, and trees, mesh improvements and architecture, and only after you are done with all of that should you pick an ENB and weather mod.
Make sure that you enable complex paralax in the ENB ini after you download it.
When it comes to armor textures, upscales etc, you are pretty safe to slap those on whenever, and are generally safe to remove them. The way I usually do it is I will download improvements as they start to populate the world, So ebony upscales when it's time etc.

It's funny when you see the updates to the faces. People blame the Creation Engine for Bethesda's ridiculously bad faces but when you see what mods can do, it becomes immediately apparent that it really wouldn't have been that difficult for Bethesda to make vaguely human looking faces for Starfield....
I remember when bathesda pushed the limit to what an rpg game should be like, to see how far they have fallen is saddening

Man, I wanted to play your mod list badly, I tried so much but couldn't get it to work. I really like your mod list, since it doesn't go too far away from vanilla, but still improves the visual and immersive quality of the game.
As much as I love Happy Little Trees, Traverse the Ulvenwald is a fantastic choice, paired with QW's 2 I think it would look amazing, although if you don't want to switch "Remastered Tree Bark" for HLT is a great texture replacer, keep making videos man, love to see them.

I love how true to original your modded game looks, just what I'm trying to accomplish
before trying to install this modlist make sure you were in AE 1.6.1130. not anything before or after ( steam update to 1170 couple days ago use downgrade tools if you were updated) i use this modlist and did several modification to suite my need:
1. replace the enb to cabbage enb, it has more vivid and realistic colours. also the dof were much more smooth during transitioning. i also has better fps ( 55-70 oustide comparing to 40-60 on rudy enb)
2. use ae content picker. its personal preference while i like having new extra side quest but some quest reward is immersion breaking ( daedric armor and dragonbone armor as reward? i remember back in 2012 i had to grinding my smithing level to 80-90 just so i could craft one and now they gave you right at the start?) i also disable camp, backpack, and fishing i had RDR2 for that lol
3. MCM helper, its a must because lot of mods depends on it
3. utilities and bug fix ( scaleform translation,sse engine fix, bug fix sse,sound fix for larger sector, console utile ng, papyrus util se, papyrus tweak, jcontainer se,powerofthree tweak, recursion monitor)
4. SSE display tweaks. i cant stress this enough. you need this mod if your monitor refresh rate is above 60hz. its also support gsync/freesync. whats the point of having 4k, 8k texture, parallax meshes if you only run it on 60 fps? it also has better vsync implementation than game native or enb.
5. sky hud, truehud, and on top of that nordic UI. it gave my game fresh and new look. also sovngard font pairs nicely on nordic ui. too bad compass overhauls isnt supported now on 1130.
6. TKAA renewal with bnp child skin to make the kids looks less annoying
7. bijin npc, waife,warmaiden.
8. i havent touch combat or animation mods but i put precision mod so you really feel when you hit someone and you had recoil when hitting wall/stone. everything is customizable via mcm
Ugh. Ive seriously been considering playing skyrim finally while I wait for Gold Road on ESO. The mods won't work for the newest version?
@eni I can get some to work, but others seem to be broken. The textures on the mountains are metallic looking and smooth. Some of the NPC's, male and female, have a pitch black face like it's missing a texture file. There are some mods on here that will work for the latest version, but most are broken.

after having some of these mods for myself and being immersed in it, it really became apparent too me how beautiful this game can really get 😮especially with Rudy + ENB NAT 3
I always recommend the Immersive Citizens mod as well. Adds some cutting room floor dialogue and interactions, some NPC's will actually travel to other villages, NPC's that have a home will actually visit it and not just stay at an inn 24/7, they shop for food, all sorts of stuff. Really fleshes out the game.
I'm so new to modding I just will never be able to do this by myself. This looks absolutely amazing!
I really like SRP Landscapes. If I'm being honest they might actually be my favorite landscape textures. Unfortunately the mountain texture has a parallax bug so if you're going to use SRP Landscaped a mountain replacer is essential.

Beautiful compilation. I kinda wish my current playthrough crash and force me to restart building a modlist again.
Great list I especially like the lighting and npc improvements. I’m having a problem with the weather enb though, had to disable it. When it would rain or snow I couldn’t see anything, and it was gloomy and gray 80% of the time. Nighttime would start at like 5pm, I think it was bugged for me because it was just awful.
Nature and wildlife does look great ,wish they kept some color pallete though ,i like playing the original atmosphere ,but visually it does look stunning
Runs surprisingly well, my own modlist uses Community Shaders instead of ENB but I get roughly the same FPS on your setup. Thanks for putting this together!

You have the best modlists man I had an issue with my game after installing a bunch of mods where it had base form 14 null so I decided to start over. I’m hoping your modlist can get me started as a base I’m commenting before downloading I hope I can just put it in the folder or mod manager. The only part that’s ever hard to me is the ENB I always had the message about shader cache pop up and it would take a while to load into the game plus I never understood what settings I had to change in the .ini exactly for Rudy

I don't know if I should be happy or mad that I found your video. I've been feeling a bit of the Skyrim itch lately and my main excuse for not installing the game again is I didn't want to spend tens of hours looking for, installing, and sorting out override orders of graphics mods. Now here you come along with a video promising to make the headache of installing graphics mods way easier. Now what excuse am I going to use?

I feel like I've been using the same old stuff, like aMidianBorn, JK's Skyrim, Skyland, Noble Skyrim, etc... cool to see some alternatives that I probably would have never found on my own.

I've never modded Skyrim before but have hundreds of hours in it across several generations of consoles. I can't wait to fuck it up and be mad for a few days until I figure out I missed an install step somewhere hahaha.

@@redshift1 hey redshift do u know why the game is mixed in german and english for me or even sometimes no voice at a dialog at all ? my steam is in english so is my game and the mods too. do i not to download an extra string mod or smth to fix it ?
I honestly don’t know I’ve never heard of that issue - I’m guessing you want it in English? Perhaps just uninstall and reinstall the game

EDIT: NM, some of the mods don't work with the GoG version (1.6.659). I'd like to avoid the Steam version if I can. It would be a good idea to make that known on the collection's about page :)
Thanks for the guide. I just spent a couple days installing Nolvus, and it's now uninstalled. It was a bit too overwhelming and unstable for my liking. I'll start my newest Skyrim install with this guide, and work my way up from there.

4070 - easy 120 fps. On my 1060 is was about 40fps at the lowest so you’ll be fine

Been thinking about coming back to skyrim again after a while. Curious what sort of graphics card you would say is needed for this modlist to run properly? Is vram an issue with so many high res textures?
The ENB is definitely the main problem - it can eat like 50fps. For this set-up I got like 35-60 on my 1060 without the upscaler
I assume that you also use some additional setup to get parallax working, and something to adjust your LODs right? IMO finding good looking mods is the easy part, the actual hard part is all those external things you have to do to actually get this look to work well as a whole. I assume that's something you keep behind your paywall though specifically because that's the "hardest" part.
I'd also wonder if anything on this list specifically no longer works in the most recent 2024 update?

Hello! Great mod pack. One question, the mod load order in MO2 is the same as you presented here? I am trying to understand how the mod overwrites the files and sometimes I see that you can mismatch roads and textures.
I wish you had a mod list of them all so I know how to put all the right mods in place. I’m trying to get all of your mods plus a few mods to make a Game of thrones game

Hi Red, what's your opinion on SRP Vs Omnibus as a texture overhaul? I noticed you mentioned you use both in 2 different videos, is SRP your new go to?
Both are great I I'm just liking SRP at the moment
When it comes to the internal patches you need to select in vortex which ones do you select there are tons!!

Also, you should reinstall GGUNIT's impoverished Whiterun and don't select the parallax version. It will fix the way your planks are floating above the dirt. GG even recommends this and I don't think it's even necessary without Parallax wood textures.

what load/install order should the Whiterun stuff be? I can't get those muddy cobblestone in lower Whiterun... all I have is 3d/extruding planks
First 10 seconds and it already shows how the soul was taken away from Skyrim and replaced with cheesy oversaturation.
Just so I know. Is this mod list up to date? Like do the mods still work or are the compatibility issues with some of them?
I want to get into modding skyrim but I really cant bother doing all the stuff to check every mod for compatibilities and such.

120-200 on a 4070. On a 1060 I use to get about 40-80.
In your previous list, you had combat related mods. Do you recommend installing them along with this collection?

I dont know, the Impoverished Whiterun always looks weird to me, Ro uses it too and it looks like the Planks are floating, the idea is great though.
The way I set up my forest and my trees is that I'm using 3 three mods:
-Traverse The Ulvenwald
-Dense Nordic Forests
Nature of the Wildlands- Forest Debris Only
This makes it where you'll get completely lost 😅
Great video. The best up to date mod list ive seen for graphics. Stays true to the lure and doesnt look overkill on the performance it seems. Btw id put 2023 in the title to pull in people who are looking for a up to date mod list.
Atlantean is also a great landscape mod with complex parallax, paired with ERM - Mountains and Northern Roads = 🤌 not a lot of seams in-game.
The install instructions mention having to do a few things manually which is fine but there is no mention of DynDOLOD, are the files for this already generated in the mod package?

Ive got a question. Im really new to this modding stuff. When you said you overwrite rustic clothing with traveler clothing at 9:55, do you mean merging the two mods? like, installing traveler clothing over already installed rustic? btw im using MO2
Hmm I don’t use MO2 but I’m sure there is a conflict system - if there is simply let traveller clothing win

Hey Red, I had a question. I installed this mod list of yours and I was adding on some of favorites and one's from your previous videos. Fairly new to modding and just wanted to know, if I want to add JK's Skyrim to this, will it cause any conflicts with the Cities of the North? Or will it be fine as long as I have CotN load first? I want Cities of the North to take precedence but I really love a lot of JK's
They work together but you'll need a patch which you can easily find on the nexus: "Cities of the North - whateever city - Patches"

I seem to be having a texture glitch with the mountains? It’s that weird grey texture. I assume it’s an issue with the parallax shader?
Just found your channel and subbed. What concerns me is what version of Skyrim will be best for these mods, and if GOG can play these mods? Will Vortex install these mods or should I install them manually? Ty.

I stick by what certain Skyrim fans believe, and that is there are some Vanilla aspects that're better than mods.
For example, the coloring is already just fine. Only the textures of trees and mountains that are a welcome improvement.
And yeah, hair & skin texture for NPCs. Otherwise, everything else can be left alone.

The load order doesn’t really matter - though you have to follow the instructions on QW’s grass for it to work properly
Downloaded the modlist, and loved it. However, it is not exactly like yours. Is it possible for me to have your current full modlist load order list?
Does this collection work with the latest Skyrim update? or do I have to downgrade it?
I'm writing this message because I've seen a lot of people say that this modlist doesn't work. (both here and on Nexus)
The list works, you just have to install it correctly and follow the instructions CAREFULLY.
Remembering to modify the files that need to be modified manually, downloading and installing correctly the two Mods not present on Nexus and installing the files for the ENB from the official website.
I installed this collection twice, once on my PC and another on a friend's PC because it didn't work for him.
And both times everything worked fine.
first time ever installing mods, I did everything you mentioned but none of the mods are active and my mountains look like gray blobs now. I have no idea how to fix or how to even get my skyrim back to normal now :(

Heya mate! great vid. subscribed to patreon and downloaded your modlist on nexus as well. Curious though, falkreath seams to have missing textures. the ground outside the high hall is missing. was wondering if you ever found a solution to that? using your default mod list with nothing added so im curious if you have this problem as well

@@redshift1 sure mate! Will do it and tag you in a bit. But btw I've checked your patreon as well and some of the comments do echo the same issue I have with falkreath. I've ultimately just disabled the falkreath mod cause I've read that it's folkrave grass mod causing the issue
BEFORE YOU TRY TO INSTALL THIS PACK!!! The newest versions of skyrim on steam and gog both don't work with this pack right now, also it's not easy to install at all. just download the mods you want separately and 1 at a time for best compatibility, check each one for version against your copy.

I literally worked on a modlist based on yours while i waited for yours to release, but it comes nothing close to yours as your game is so perfect and i aspire to have a game like yours. Now i finally can and i thank you for that. You are very inspiring and i love that you overhauled everything in the game while still keeping the original vision. Most people who mod skyrim turn it into a completely different game. I love that you are different, man. Keep doing what you are doing, let nothing stop you. I will totally use your list as a base for mine.
