The recipe is here: www.maangchi.com/recipe/kimchi... This simple, simple dish is super, super tasty. It's just a few ingredients, but it's a dish much loved by Koreans...
I made this last night. It was delicious! My boyfriend devoured it and requested I make it again. I added frozen corn, but followed the recipe. I can see why this is comfort food. Thank you
I'm Korean and I never put the hot paste (고추장) to this dish, so if you don't have the paste, don't worry, kimchi juice is enough. If your kimchi is not fermented enough, it won't taste good (better when kimchi is tangy). If that's the case, fry kimchi longer with more oil before adding rice.
@@crealizecoaching When the kimchi is too ferminented so tastes sour, just put a spoon of sugar while frying the kimch on pan, the sugar would make it less sour very well. That same goes to when making a 김찌찌개(kimchi soup). Sorry for my poor English. I'm a Korean.
Maangchi I have a question... Does kimgaru go rancid? I opened my kimgaru (which is a year old from opening) and saw the kimgaru sticking to each other.. i heated it in the oven.. it became flakes again but the oil seems different.. is it still okay to eat?
@miraeja, thanks for the comment. I do love butter and I was going to use coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil. I feel the butter would be better! Nothing beats butter!:) Thanks for posting the comment:)

Thanks to your channel, I feel like I can do it!
Who likes the sound of knife chopping on the chop board!!!!!!😏😏
I just made this for breakfast (again). Thanks Maangchi! You're my hero! Love all your recipes and great personality.
I love it😊
I cooked this today and couldn't be more proud of myself. Tastes sooooo good, I'm gonna stack up on kimchi and nori from now on so I can cook this any time I want.
Congratulations! Happy cooking!
I cooked this for my family today and it was so delicious, everyone loved it! Thanks for sharing all of these amazing recipes with us! :)
I made kimchi fried rice today using a store bought packet of kimchi, an onion, a bag of egg fried microwave rice, soy sauce and sesame seeds; topped with a soft boiled egg! I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and it tasted delicious! I'm definitely going to make my own kimchi now so I can have a large supply and make this whenever I want!!
Thank you for the recipe! I added egg and spam to mine and it was sooo good
Such a good and simple recipe. Made it tonight for a late night snack and it has hit all my food cravings. YUM!
👏
Love your videos! I learned making kimchi from you in 2015! I think it was. Anyway, love your vids!
This channel was recommended to me by my Korean roommate. Best channel for me to start cooking korean food!
Love the easy instruction! 🙏
I made this today, and it was spicy, but good, and I also added an egg on top because everyone in the comments raved about. That cut down on the spiciness for me. My son really liked it. I would make this again.☺️
I just made this for lunch! So delicious! Great recipe 👌
Great! 👏
I always bring kimchi to my work for lunch. But will definitely try to bring kimchi rice to share with everyone.
Just made this just now and it’s so easy and delicious! I added all my leftovers in the fridge also- super easy and complete meal!! Love this video and recipe!!
👏
Oh man! I just made this and I can't stop loving this recipe. This is going to be my go to recipe! Thank you Maangchi
