How do you get rid of the fat that is very stubborn and seems to hang around more than any other? This discussion is my opinion on how to handle just that problem.
Been binge watching your videos and I want to say, you've done an amazing job in speaking and explaining your knowledge. There is a drastic difference in your tone from older videos to now.
You are an extremely smart man. One of the most educated I've come across on CZcams, I will definitely be subscribing and looking forward to your videos! Keep it up :)
Love your style of videos ... not too "hyper" and not too "boring". You really seem to know your stuff and have a head on your shoulders. Keep 'em going. (BTW, I know this one was close to two years ago but it's still pertinent today - Good going!!)
Paul: "Give yourself enough time..." Me: "Got it, coach." (note to my chipmunk face where my stubbon fat resides) Your content is gold. Best fitness channel on YT. 👍👍👍
Solid info, great video! Don't worry about not being like other people. I'm an introvert and I understand. Just do your thing, man! Keep the great info coming, that's what matters. You really know what you're talking about and it comes from experience. You can't say that about a lot of CZcams "trainers".
I actually prefer your calm and down to earth manner. I detest the loud and over the top manner about other youtubers, which is why I dont watch their stuff.
Hello Paul, I have been on journey to lose body fat for around 15 months. In that time, i have lost 140 plus pounds and around 30% body fat. I am currently at around 15%. I have been weight training throughout, and flexible dieting. I track everything, watch for trends and adjust my diet accordingly. My goal is 10 to 12 % body fat. I have put on some muscle and have made good gains. I have loose skin around my lower mid section and lower back. Not sure how much of that is fat. I have developed a passion for nutrition, training and fitness as a whole. I have taken several breaks from dieting where I eat at maintenance for 2 weeks to help avoid my metabolism from screeching to a halt. On training days I eat 1650 calories and on training days I eat 2000. I am thinking the 1650 is my maintenance as I have noticed a trend of staying around the same weight on those days. I complete 30 of steady state cardio on training days. 10 min warm up and 20 minutes at the end of workouts. I eat 1.2 g per pound of body weight for protein, 40 to 50 grams of fat and the rest carbs. I train 3 days on 2 days off, 3 days on. My split is a 8 day cycle where I train specific muscle groups every 5 days. My training is hypertrophy based, with a combination of compound, semi compound and isolation exercises. I train to failure on the last set of some exercises and others I leave 1 or two in the tank. I incorporate some intensity techniques on certain movements. I could go on. My progress has been very slow over the past few months and I looking for suggestions on how to get over the final body fat hurdle. Have a great day Robert A
Really dig Layne and your no bullshit, no fluff approach. I've learned a lot. On a side note: the ad that popped up in this video was Sixpackshortcut and I laughed so hard.
Hi Paul! I been watching your videos and you are doing an awesome job explaining and educating us, keep doing them I like your style and I may throw a question in the future, right now too shy! Ha!
Nice video. I certainly can relate to this. I train 4-5 days a week and struggle with stubborn fat. 5'10 218lbs currently and can't seem to bring the weight down, in fact it's going up. I don't think I'm necessarily stronger since I don't train with progressive overload in mind. I have too much joint issues. But I give up on my dieting strategy when I don't see the scale go down. I'm really active, I also cycle twice a week and I train 1 body part a day, push then pull the next day. Sometimes I do H.I.I.T as well. Macros on point. 250g carbs, 180g protein, 65g fat. Can't seem to figure it out. Being an Endomorph stinks!
Any advice for bikini competitors that are worried about getting "too lean" in some places in order to lose their stubborn body fat is others? Genetically my upper body stays very lean, but below the waist it's a different story. When I get deep into my contest prep I have to be very careful in my training for upper body and my posing to almost mask how lean I get in my arms, shoulders, abs.. But I have yet to get my legs as lean as I would like!
Emalie Bassett where your body stores its bodyfat is a genetic thing. your body has its fav places to store fat . first bodyfat lost in cut is last fat put on. last bodyfat lost is first put on if u stop dieting/training.
Exal Xavier thank you, yes I do know this! I am a seasoned competitor and it's something I've dealt with for a long time! I think at the time when I asked this, what I was looking for was more along the lines of how to still achieve the overall look for bikini (you can't be too lean or striated etc.) while getting those stubborn last places to fall off... whether that be changing up some training, posing etc. Paul is my coach now actually and things are going great! Thanks for the reply!
Emalie Bassett im trying to compete as well. Ive read literally every article to get the stubborn fat off also lol. Fasted cardio and changing sprints jogging and stairmaster 30 mins everyday is it for me. Good luck on your fitness journey!
Emalie Bassett You're lucky, girl, I have fat arms... I wish they would lean out.... I have the lower issue, too...but I would love to have lean, cut arms.
Awesome video. Can you do one on posture? Not just lifting posture but standing, etc? But not the typical pull your shoulders back/push out your chest since that's a dated idea
I love your 'flexible' concept!!! i have a tiny hip/bum and my thighs are reasonably slim, but my calves have stubborn fat, the hardest area to lose fat so annoying :( which means I'd have to become skinny in order to slim down this area sigh...
Paul I am a new subscriber and I’ve been binging a TON of your video’s. I’m preparing for some competitions this summer and in many respects you’ve become a sort of a coach for me even though we’ve never talked. I really enjoy your content. One of the things I’ve noticed is that your like a broken record pounding a certain drum over and over again and that’s a good thing but it is as consistent as...... well, I don’t know, consistent :). One thing that I can count on you to say is 1. Give yourself time, and WORK HARD. What a good drum to beat. Thanks for all you do.
i still don t get it how to loos stubborn bodyfat ????u explained everthing except the main question ,started with lobliner urself mark bell ....then the state of mind when u re dieting but u didn t say somthing concret that answers the question ,should we use intemittent fasting or more low carb days or more hiit or ... please,
I have a surgery scar one inch above, and two inches below where my belly button used to be. The fat either side of this is like having an elastic band around a balloon; it bulges. I'm a 44y.o. male who runs 24 mins 5k 2 x per week, gyms 2 X per week, eats healthily but not enough, drinks more than I should. the fat either side of my scar doesn't move.
If you lose the fat by lowering calories and increasing cardio when you return to a matinenceace phase will the abdominal fat return because if I'm going to have to be in a huge deficit with tons of cardio to maintain a 6pack just for genetic reasons is it even worth it
If you were training a client for fat loss and you were doing cardio and weights how many grams of protein per kilo would you start with. The reason I asked as ive tried to help people lose weight using resistance training and they have gained muscle and been disappointed as the scales increased
Great vid, I'm currently deiting for summer, been going two months now and lost about 14lbs, I'm actually scared how light I am at the moment and how much more needs to come off. I'm 43 6ft and now down to 12 stone 5. Think I'm going to end up around 11 7 to get the look I'm after. Scary when I've been as heavy as 14 stone 10
Hey Paul. Are you able to take a look at my pic of where I am at now and help me adjust accordingly? Im pretty lean now, but I’ve got some saggy skin by the navel and it is not going away yet. I’m not even sure if it will go away. Do your clients run into this? I’ve got an “8 pack” coming through and very vascular all around, but the sagging skin is ugly. Do I just need more patience to rid of it? Thanks.
55 years old former body builder making comeback is weight loss more important or the measuring tape outlook want to get leaner what is the proper metric
@@PaulRevelia so many true words tho man... I'm on my 10 weeks fat loss period, 35 years old and although the body doesn't responde like years before I'm still pushing Hard mental and physically... What about age related body fat...like redistributing in areas u didn’t use to gain in...I use to have very skinny upper body and abs really easily well into my 30s but now most of my fat wants to go to my stomach or back of arms even face. I’ve always struggled w lower body as I’m a pear shape but never my upper body. I’m 38 yr old female could this be hormonal changes? If so what the heck do I do about it!! Thanks
I am late but its insulin dependent fat deposits. You can start with resistance training with adequate cardio (begin with low impact) and eat really clean. Increase NEAT that's a major game changer
Very refreshing not seeing someone screaming at the camera, level headed calm approach, love it!!
LOL yeah I am not much for screaming.
Yes I enjoy the calm nature
Yeah, when I hear somebody screaming I automatically think, "What is this fucker trying to sell me?" Thanks Paul for being real!
@raquel-andrea ~ Is he the dude that spits while he's screaming? It's the Tren....and the Clen....and the T-3....and the Test... and the Caffeine.....
I like that he’s not yelling trying to convince me of every word he says lol Keep the good content coming!
I don’t like to yell lol
Such a great video Paul! Your little boy is adorable!
Omgosh your camera presence has come a long way, but content still consistent, practical, and research based! Love it!
I like the calm vibe that you bring! Love all the content you share!

So I’m 10 percent body fat but I mostly lost fat from my whole body, not really my lower stomach. So I still have to diet, i don’t wanna lose weight
Thank you. You give me hope I don't want to be chubby anymore. LOL
