  • Sometimes when practicing your mini painting things don't go like you planned. Do not fret, for there is still value to be had! In this video I get in over my head. The result isn't terrible, but it's not what I was going for either...

That's exactly the sort of thing I do: get a model to a decent standard and then not know when to stop!!

Good video covering your entire process (for this project). I liked how you explained each “phase” with the pros and cons…both before and after your work. Especially nice we’re the “philosophical” ideas you talked about and encouraged others to think about. Would like to add that ”have FUN!’ Is the primary ingredient of all, projects. Thanks for your time and helpful videos.

Very much appreciate the healthy perspective on mistakes and learning, its been difficult finding minipainting content that isnt just like "do this high level technique right the first time, lmao just do it 4head". Looking forward to more videos!

I really appreciate the candidness of this video. It's happened to all of us and they can't all be our best work.

Love to see some Battletech! Most mini painting videos are WH40K, but I can only ooh and ahh so much about the same space marines over and over.

Lessons learned are great. Enjoying the content and perspective. Also as an FYI one of your hashtags is spelled incorrectly which might limit exposure.

Gradient hazard stripes are usually done with an airbrush.

Yeah, but I don't have one, unfortunately, and have other things to prioritize. Gotta use the tools you have!

@@TableTopAckley the hazard stripes are easily salvageable though with a thin glaze of the original yellow or two.

Mate, your videos are really really well done, If you had better titles and thumbnails... I'm positive you would get much more exposure.

Thanks, that means a lot to me! Thumbnails and titles are an art form that I definitely have yet to master.

Shh, we can't draw too much attention to it or they might take it away from us.
