- Scout? Armoured? Why not both? Let's talk about the How To of magnetizing my favorite unit in the Warhammer 40K universe, the Astra Militarum's favorite walker, the Sentinel. Turns out you don't need a lot of magnets for this, but I used a whole bunch anyways!

Thank you for your service, and sacrifice.
"I'm doing my part!"
Thanks! I picked up the Combat Patrol earlier this week and this is exactly what I was looking for.
Great guide!!!
While I intended to just magnitize the weapons (you are correct, people who would take issue with the leg panels are not worth playing with) I never thought about making the missle removable. It is indeed cool to show that my sentinal was "packing heat".
just starting a guard army, the video waas both informative and entertaining, will definetly use it on my 3 sentinels that I indend to get
For the sentinel absolutely it's such an easy magnetization.
The mad man delivered!!!
Great channel! Thanks for sharing all your tips!
Love it thanks!
Small Correction: I state in the video that I'm using 8mm x 1.5mm magnets for the Torso -> Pelvic connection, but the magnets I used are actually 8mm x 2mm.
It also figures that within days of me complaining about the Codex GW announces they're doing away with Codices, haha.
This showd up at an appropriate time as I'm still working on mine. Unsure if I still want to magnetize.
Wow, I wish I had the confidence to do all this finnicky stuff to a model!
I agree that a hunter killer missile should leave the rail behind. With your obvious skill and obsession with magnetization I wonder if you've thought about putting more "game state" indications directly on models using magnets. Like scared heads for models effected by some sort of debuff, blood covered cloaks for models that have suffered a wound, more rusty or dented armour plates for tanks that have suffered wounds, etc.
I assure you the confidence only came after the doing!
Those are awesome ideas! If I ever do a video on that, expect a call out!
Hi Ackley. Thanks to you I magnetized my old sentinel, and it has helped me magnetize the new one. I thought Id point out. For the field guns. You can ad in a sprue bit in the middle rectangular hole. the frame is the perfect height. then you can glue a 1 mm magnet to the bottom and cut one gear teeth of the gun and replace it with a 1mm magnet. makes the field bombast gun really easy to magnetize. I can send some pictures over an email if you're interested Anyways. You probably have it figured out anyways. thank you for being an awesome guardsman youtube channel. I hope to see a chimera , leman russ and baneblade magnetization video from you someday.
I'd love to see how you approached it! You can email it, like you said (my email is in the channel's about page), or post it on Instagram and @ me (@tabletopackley). I don't have any Leman Russ tanks lying around, but both my Chimera and Baneblade have been BEGGING for attention.
@@TableTopAckley all power to you giving some love to those vehicles. It's insane how much confidence your videos give other people to magnetize their own stuff. I recommend your vids even to filthy heretic players. Thank you for making concise and clear videos. Also
On a side note. More painting vids! Seeing somebody paint who isn't a 5 time golden demon winner is so nice and refreshing because you understand the plight of an average Joe who's painting their stuff
@@jandrelabuschagne3712 Thank you for the encouragement! Comments like yours are far more than I expect from these videos.
can you do a magnetizing video for the leman russ?
and the field artillery?
Thanks for the funny AND helpfull Video 👍👍👍
Thank you, very detailed and helpful. Would you happen to have a list of the tools you use? Need to upgrade my drill bit set.
I do (in the video description), but it's fairly out of date at the moment. My only experience in hobby drills is with the one from Army painter, but I'd put these down as adequate rather than something to upgrade to. Plenty of fancy electric hobby drills going around now, though.
Did you magnetize the antenna?
I did not, but given how fragile it is it probably wouldn't be the worst idea. A 2mm magnet directly under the stem would do it, I think.
That juice is not worth the squeeze
It kinda really isn't.
@@TableTopAckley do appreciate your effort and information though
