- In this episode, Jen and I go out to a small mountain river that I used to fish a bunch when I was growing up.
We camped for a few nights on the river, then headed up to a high mountain lake for a couple of days. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the mountains in late spring. The fishing was a bit slow at both spots, though a few fish were caught and released. The trip turned into more of a fun adventure with time to explore but also to relax. One big highlight for me was the dutch oven pizza we made with a pizza flour blend from the incredible Camas Country Mill.

We’ve camped at that first lake and we were very lucky too as we learned that, sadly, that whole area tends to get crowded especially in summer. Awesome drone footage. Yeah, gotta watch out for those rock gardens!

What a trip! Loved it. Miss my Tacoma- just takes you to great places. Now, to get the ram in to some spots like this.

Great video. I’d love to go back to Oregon but the entire state is full of drug addicts and serial killers. You can’t even go on a routine hike without fear of getting attacked. The amount of missing and murdered hikers/campers is astounding… So sad to see such a beautiful state be destroyed.
