The HPI Savage XS Flux doesn't make sense in the best possible way! HPI Savage XS Flux: goo.gl/JgGxp9 AMain Hobbies: goo.gl/TMQeub #hpiracing #driveon #radiocontrol
This is one of my all time favourite HPI cars, got the SS edition when it launched (came as kit with some upgrade parts in the box, aluminium shocks, CVD driveshafts, etc). You should take a look at the 1:8 Savage Flux or the WR8, tons of fun.
They;re on CRACK. I got virhuck ( Fy03 clone) for $40... 2845 3000kv ( $12) 60A esc $14) MG servo $7, oil shocks $10 , RX $7. 3s 40C 1500 mah $12 $100.....Surely if I can build a contraption thats flies out of cardboard. I know how to tinker with stuff....it still has wazooo of power left..i can gear it up even more..but Im chaep. I just reams the extra pinon gears that came with it.... There's room plenty to install a 3650 and a 2200 mah.lol Come on man a 979B is a 550 motor in it....There's room to install a 3670.lmao. You can get all metal gear upgrade set for under $20
Although you are right with the price part and I also own a WLToys A959 with brush-less motor upgrade and it goes about 45 mph with a small ass stock battery....This HPI truck is WAY higher quality than any WLToys product......all around....without question. I own vehicles from both manufacturers and they're both fun...but HPI is the real deal. Quality...integrity...they will last...and the electronics are meant to last.
I's as lovely as it's crazy. It's perfect for those days when you want to take it "easy" and you don't want the weight (as in both physical and mental) of a 1:8 scale car. Yes it's going 65 mph, but it's light, so it's way less dangerous, that's what I mean to take it easy. Enjoy and have a lot of fun!
I had one of these. I have a bunch of videos about it on my channel. Very fun but in the long run it was just too uncontrollable. I suggest a motor fan for this one as the motors get pretty hot.
I have one of these from a couple years ago, it is insanely tough and hilariously fast for such a small truck. On demand backflips, front flips, wheelies, not the easiest to actually “handle” though. I tore the body up pretty quick but nothing structurally or driveline broke until I flipped from hitting the brake too hard and hit a Honda Pilot, that bent a drive shaft and split an axle carrier, it cost more to have the dent taken out of the pilot than the entire cost of the truck and repair to that
I had a Duratrax Mini Quake with all the metal mods I could get and a Castle Creation 8900 or 9800 drag motor can't remember # (Castles gearing chart said OMGWTFBBQ! )I ran it on a 9.4 volt nimh airplane battery. Geared as low as posible it would do 70 something. I loved it, you could take it anywhere and run it because of its size. That speed makes them have more of a wow factor. Have a mini e-revo with velodyn brushless, biggest battery's I could get and don't know where It is because it seems slow now. Should have kept mini quake! 300 is good deal, I spent almost 300 on the motor and speed controller probably 1000 on truck and mods, plus fully rebuilt truck once.
That looks like a lot of fun, are you guys going to build a Halloween Car? Maybe like a ghost or something that moves it’s arms? That would be cool! I have a Skelton on mine if you wanna check it out for some ideas! Awesome video!
As some one who has little to no rc car experience and considering getting into rc cars, what is a car you can recommend that a). is good for beginners and b). not too expensive (around the sub $200 mark)? Thanks guys!
True I really want to get traxxas slash as a present for my dad but ain’t got no money lol but if I win IF that would be amazing lol but yeah it is really good
Traxxas slash, not too expensive and tons of replacement parts/hop ups available. Also they are coming out with a new 4x4 brushed model if you want 4x4 without the cost of going brushless
So small with that much power just makes one uncontrollable rig, I do like the savage flux xl it’s the opposite of this. What happened with the giveaway? I will have to check if I missed the video. Hpi use to be big but I really don’t see them much anymore
It’s like the 3” quad of the car world!!
haha never thought of it that way! Love it!

Had one of these and it's big brother the Savage Flux HP too. Both were just ridiculous with power. But loads of fun.
300 bucks for a truck that goes 60 mph is actually a pretty good deal
You can't go wrong with HPI
We have little experience with HPI.. This one and also the Hoonicorn.. each one was unique and awesome and at a decent price for what you get!
You can go 60 mph under €100

Super stoked for the 4.6 BB video I own one and I heckin love it! CRAZY durable. What a beast!
That A-10 in the background tho
😍
Looks awesome!
1/16 Revo VXL...I have An AE MGT (1/8th scale) and a mini MGT (1/10th scale). That tiny little Revo VXL is just as much fun.
I have one of these! Absolutely insane.
great video as always keep up the great work
Really fast and a great video!
0:13 RTF??! Wow! I can't wait to see it fly! 😂
haha maybe future episode:)
MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!😄I mean honestly at 65 mph you wouldn't need very much wing area at all...
Anyone else hopeing for a rustler 4x4 review?
looks interesting!
Silly truck and I love it. I'd probably stick with 2s though most of the time! :D
Super cool
I am liking the size for portability..
I have the V1 model of this truck you can race it on 2S 3S is wild I have bashed this truck for over 3 years love it!
I honestly like the way the earlier models look better! -Alex

great vid guys
Great vid
Wow! This thing is fast
Great vid guys 1:23 tiny but fast car a little bit aquard lol but still not that bad👍

You guys need to check out the losi mini 8. Its insanely fun, well balanced it drives like a dream!
i have the 1/14 losi mini rally car which is based off the mini 8 platform.. you are right it is amazing!
2:17 camera lens nearly died
There may or may not be a few nicks in that lense already from previous episodes:)
Nice video
Need more contents in savage xs

I would 100% recommend but it is definitely not for kids or the inexperienced
Yeah the traxxas revo vxl 1/16th is ridiculous as well. Tiny and stupid fast. I love mine.
Hello mister, should i buy this one or the arrma granite brushless version. Which one do you recomend better ? Thank you.
I wonder if you had different tires if you could drift it.

Funny that you go rc car now😂 for me it was the other way around.. first rc cars and then drones!
Those are TVP's twin vertical plates
You should do a basics video for cars like yall did for planes!!!
did i miss who the winners of the mqueen truck give away are?
Is it better than bullet flox?
Please do the Tamiya Lunchbox. It's like the dead opposite of this dude.
We have been eyeing some different tamiya models.. My first car was the Frog!
Wow, guys. That's amazing! 😮
Thanks for watching!
I need to see more action.
How big is it
And overheats way to fast within 3 to 5 minutes in 2 inches of grass should it overheat like that?
Try hooking a flight controller or a gyro up to it. It should take up a lot of that uncontrollability so long as you set it right
That thing ant doing 65 but still cool!
You said rtf not rtr. I guess it works though because this truck is meant to fly.
That looks like a lot of fun, are you guys going to build a Halloween Car? Maybe like a ghost or something that moves it’s arms? That would be cool! I have a Skelton on mine if you wanna check it out for some ideas! Awesome video!
Check out those pizza cutters! lmao
when is the giveaway? sooooooooo hyped about it #LOVEFLITETEST+DRIVEON!!!!
We decided to wait one more week on the give away! Stay tuned:0
ok cool! Thank you for responding!
..... Once you get down how to control it this would be a ripper holy snot
As some one who has little to no rc car experience and considering getting into rc cars, what is a car you can recommend that a). is good for beginners and b). not too expensive (around the sub $200 mark)? Thanks guys!
any traxxas slash!:) Good for just about anything! -Alex
True I really want to get traxxas slash as a present for my dad but ain’t got no money lol but if I win IF that would be amazing lol but yeah it is really good
Latrax Prerunner stock with a Lipo is pretty fun and about 120+lipo.
Traxxas slash, not too expensive and tons of replacement parts/hop ups available. Also they are coming out with a new 4x4 brushed model if you want 4x4 without the cost of going brushless
Fast enough but the short wheelbase makes it too unstable to be used as a plane launcher
where can i get good quality rc car camera and all , fair price please
I own 2 hpi Savage trucks. The Savage flux hp and the nitro Savage
Is there any update on the give away or where we seeit
Next week! Stay tuned!
Awesome! Thank you!
You said rtf (ready to fly) lol!
with a big enough ramp, it could fly:)
SHIMM THE DIFFS YOU WILL STRIP THEM AND TIGHTEN THE SLIPPER CLUTCH ALL THE WAY. LATER YOU WILL NEED ALL METAL BEARING CARRIERS
Take it into Wal-mart challenge or a mall
i paid $ 424 Dollars for my Ruckus Ecx 4x4 truck goes 30 miles a hour what your opinion?
So small with that much power just makes one uncontrollable rig, I do like the savage flux xl it’s the opposite of this. What happened with the giveaway? I will have to check if I missed the video. Hpi use to be big but I really don’t see them much anymore
Too much blunt with too much grunt. ✌
Been a whole month without a winner of the giveaway, are you guys actually giving it away? Whats the deal?
I have that truck lol
What the hell flew out of the wheel area after the flip at 2:17?! At 0.25 speed it looks like a microscopic UFO.
Pebble
You was driving it front wheel drive you lost a pin in the center drive cup
Next project is a foam board rc car!
for the price, they couldve used a better looking wheel setup.
That thing very well might fly if you put wings on it lol! Hint
“Micro” - 1:10?
No give away update
Ryan Dillard how’s ur classmate doing?
65? my traxxas rustler goes 45 miles max!
Go built a tekno kit
WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
Angelfish S have you ever looked at prices in this hobby? For a brushless 4x4 vehicle, especially as tough as this one is, that price is not bad
@@AckageHSC
Yes check out Gearbest.com better quality and cheaper prices.
Nice truck but... ahhh.... not a micro
Do some traxxis trucks the mini summit is better
FIRST!!!!!
14th lol
A thumbs down, but not for the video. That's stupid dangerous and for $325 I'd buy something larger with better control and parts.
