Perhaps Aegis Knight Gundam from Gundam Build DiVERS RERISE, could be the culmination between the OG Aegis Gundam- infused with the remarkable Core II Gundam tech and specs... Though the Multiphase Energy Beam Cannon was not replicated very well in Gunpla form, this Gunpla/Gundam might be given an honorable mention...
Man, Seed has sooooo much spin off lore. I want a remake that draws the spinoff lore into the main show. Though I want that much more for UC. Seed clearly has enough to do the same.

If it was an Earth Alliance Gundam instead, my personal headcanon would be that while the X100 machines got their upgraded versions (with the Strike E getting the packs from Raigo), the Blitz would basically live on as the N Dagger N and scrap the Nero Blitz. For the next generation X300 frame, this would be the one where they really took a critical look at the original Aegis and the steps taken with the Raider. While the Aegis was powerful, it may had been a bit too ambitious for the time. And while the Raider was successful and could fly on its own, it lacked significant beam weaponry and was more specialized towards anti-mobile suit combat. Looking to create a machine that took the best of both machines, the researchers combined the data from the Aegis, Raider, and incorporated data from the Freedom and Justice Gundams. The idea was to create a high speed transformable mobile suit that was less complex than the Aegis, but with more firepower than the Raider, while still retaining the ability to fly independently in atmosphere. The Aegis served as the main inspiration, but with a more conventional weapons lay out, beam weapons based off the Freedom and Justice, and still using the hit and run tactics developed from the Raider. The end result, was the GAT-X385 Saviour Gundam. Aegis is one of the best transformation of all Gundam. Function-wise, it's jack-of-all-trade but master of none. The Alliance wanted to cover all functionality in one frame. With that many articulations, it would have been maintenance nightmare.
Late info, but Full Mechanic Raider's manual states that the Mjolnir can't damage PS armor itself, but rather the internal components beneath the armor.

I didn't know about the Regenerate Gundam, that is an awesome idea where the core unit can attach itself to other mobile suits and hijack them. I hope to see this idea expanded upon in the future!

Its impressive how fast Alliance could make Transformable MS, even if the the need for such mechanism is really questionable and it transforms into a really odd thing. It really feels like the engineers were just trying to make it transform into something as experiment, and doesnt really have a plan for what exactly it is transforming into. I guess thats why the more refined Raider frame entered limited production, while Aegis, Rosso Aegis are all one off, and Librarian Works doesnt even bother with this pointless transformation

It's been a while since I last watch SEED, I don't seem to remember if Athrun did the drill attack in the anime. The red PS armor is indeed the toughest, perfect for protecting the Aegis when it pierce through ships. Athrun pulling that on major EA fleet would've strike fear to EA forces and boosting ZAFT morale even more. I'd turn my ship around as soon as someone screaming "X303" over the comms. Raider Full Spec, I like its design better than the regular Raider. The Regenerate is a beast of its own.
In my opinion, no other Gundam Athrun piloted was better than Aegis, in terms of just aesthetics and coolness. Justice and Infinite Justice come up short. Saviour is ok, not bad. But overall, Aegis will always remain my favorite of all the MS he piloted.
But the M1 astray doesn't have a striker hard point but the civilian astray does same with the raysta and the 105 slaughter and dagger L and windam and regan duel and the librarian works buster and gale strike
@@zethythonix ok got it and fyi in my school vr game the regenerate gundam is a boss but it is tough but when playing as 00 goalius with the dread agent parts ( make you feel like you have the alya venyata type e and dodge and counter anything that’s thrown against you) it’s a absolute joke and the thing was in the mission called a lit by a burning sun where it was damaged but not badly by the dainsleft but then when the gundam gusion rebake full city the flauros and the riden go arrives a heavy hit damaged the regenerate ps armour and destroyed the long beam rifle and 00 goalius appeared and then deployed the scissor blade in decapation mode and combined it with 00 goalius behemoth blade and then went to the combined arios gn archer alt mode dodge the attack and 00 goalius went to combat mode and stabbed the front and ran with the blade cutting the whole regenerate gundam in half destroying it and the only thing left was the core unit but it was busted by 00 goalius twin fury pistols
Is it just me or the spin off for that timeline are very redundant and makes very little sense. I did appreciate star gazer but, for real tho, super Mjolnir?? wth man, that's shit's wack af.

Something to consider is that the closest existence to a dagger for the Aegis is the Wild Dagger; the only similarity is in the transformation.
The Saviour always felt like an extension of the Aegis and Raider line. And frankly a better upgrade to the Aegis than the Rosso if you ask me
