what i really love even though it's kinda small is that you can still hear the original sounds of the crows cawing in the distance
You can also hear the same sounds of flies buzzing over a dead body

Goodness I love how you can feel the original games DNA lives on in this remake! While it is inevitably a different iteration on its own it still has acknowledges its roots in ways that matters most. Thank you Capcom!

@@m7floyd Literally have a demo that is the first 20 minutes of said game. We've seen plenty of gameplay and parts of the Island through trailers. I think we're in the clear with this one.

I love how the first Ganado just gives Leon a nonchalant look before walking away. Doesn't even curse him out. He just goes to get the weapon to kill him with.

Leon finally moves like an agent rather than tank controls. Feels more authentic and congruent with his character.

Just a nitpick, but I’m also not a fan of how unkempt his hair is in this. I wish he looked the part of an agent. More professional. His RE2 remake noir combed and greased hair look would’ve complimented his RE4 presentation better.
Can we evolve Leon as a character beyond his 90s boyband metro sexual look already? Geez capcom. It suited him as a rookie fresh out of the academy, wet behind the ears in the 90s, but he’s older now more experienced. People don’t keep the same haircut all their life.

It was a pleasant surprise for me to see that Capcom kept the "Bingo" line fortunately. As far as I'm concerned Capcom did a great job of balancing elements of the OG and introducing new elements in the Remake. That's how you do a Remake properly! Can't wait for the game to finally drop! 🔥
It's awesome that we actually get to see a little of when leon was going through his agent training. Even cooler seeing it was krauser who taught him how to knife fight.
The bingo line stayed , by default this is game of the year !
Probably will be Hogwarts Legacy that wins. But this game is definitely top notch

I’m beyond happy with RE4 remake and believe it’ll ace it. I’m still very sad that RE3 did not receive the same amount of love and affection however 😢
Rushed to cap on the hype train RE2R made. Great for speed runs I will say, knowing how to legit run through the game as fast as you can if you like speed running, RE3R is pretty great in that regard. But yes 3 was disappointing aside from that aspect.

The original RE1, RE2, and RE4 were excellent solid games. RE3 was always underwhelming for me, so I'm not surprised the new lick of paint failed.

From the intro it showed leon's history detailed from the re 2 tragedy until he was trained by Krauser, it enough to introduce leon to the new players who play the game for the first time. All the environment of the maps got me tho and i love it.
Until the end part that we are waiting for, yes the villagers rush attacked lion. But a bit different one here is dr salvador still appear even leon does not entered the house near the tower. Also the call of church's bell just sudden not interrupted by cutscenes while we still want to "have fun" with villagers.
Arghhh can't wait for full gameplay of this masterpiece, it makes me got back when i was in elementary school
Actually showing the Ganados ignoring Leon once the bell rings is a really cool touch

Just played this on my ps4 slim and the demo is fun. Leon died 4 times but I actually pass the village. I had no problem with the framedrops and the demo ran smooth. Can't wait to play this game soon.

So a few things we've learned from this. Leon's a badass. When he does something he's precise and relentless, his ass kicked that ganado so hard it cracked the fuck out of his neck. He learned to hold his knife instead of planting it, and he's much safer about his tactics. It's also perfectly realistic to see him speaking Spanish, when his mission lands him in Spanish speaking territory. He's also fairly campy, coping with the situations he's in with some wisecrack. @@soulpath1 I think they mean like he actually keeps the knife on him after he snaps an enemy. In re2r, he would kind of just leave the knife in the enemy
In what timestamp he speaked spanish?
When playing the demo, I got offset by how it felt more difficult to stagger people by shooting them in the legs. A part of me is still stuck on instinctively using tactics that worked in the original, but I appreciate how they're trying to recreate the same feeling of awkwardness from playing the original for the first time.
I died a few times, thinking it'd be like the og. Unless you can headshot them consistently while also moving, you gotta pick your battles. Dr. Salvador barely staggers. 😬
I had a bad time with the knife in the remake 😅, my main strategy in the og was take down the enemies and finish them on the ground with the knife but now It is hard, and the knife breaks lol.
I got a bit upset but reading your comment now i think Its cool, they are changing some things and you gotta make new strategies.

I'm happy the village was actually a massive pain in the ass for someone like me whos beaten this game to death since it was released. I almost died in both runs I did, 2nd run I wanted to see what happened after killing the chain saw guy an what he dropped, also to see if a 2nd guy blocked the exit door if you killed the first. I couldn't be more fucking excited to get my ass beat again by a game that I've loved my entire life. Also I kept yelling "BINGO BINGO" before the line was said an I'm happy they kept it haha

One thing I like about this demo, out of many things in fact, is how how Leon re-narrates how his life changed that fateful night in Raccoon City followed by his brutal training & missions as a special agent for the government the last six years. There is a more personal touch to the trauma he endured that night and how his subsequent training & missions kept him from thinking on it. Also, from how he said “Things can be different. It has to”, at first, I didn’t know what he meant by that (aside from it being words to increase the hype the remake gives us). Now from the demo’s prologue, I think Leon is saying that no matter how bad & tragic things had gotten for everyone, especially him, it doesn’t have to be that way again for anyone else. Since he is more experienced now as a government agent and knows what Umbrella is capable of, Leon has made it his mission to put to a stop to what ever evil is being done, whatever it takes. Just like he promised Claire and Sherry at the end of RE2.

The chainsaw noise is not prominent enough, it should be able to be heard no matter where you go in order to give the player mental pressure.

Downloading this on Steam right now. I actually bought the RE pack a while ago which includes RE0 - RE6 and I'm playing through 4 again after many years. I'mma finish OG 4 again right before the full game comes out.
Alright so I just started this up. My rig is a 2022 Legion 5i. RTX 3060 140W, 16GB DDR5 and 12700H. I upped some of the sliders to where the memory usage now is just under the VRAM limit at 1440p but the game runs quite nicely for me. Capped the framerate to 60. It's a great port, thank God. I think I can confidently preorder it at this point.

@MeGo1911 Finished it twice so far. Second run came in at 14:44 minutes. I took a more stealthy approach the second time round but when I got detected at last I only got hit once from my side when I was focusing on the chainsaw guy. Capcom have outdone themselves. This feels more intense than the OG. Scarier too.
@@aninfinitemindofmusicandreams True it feels way scarier than the original, I didn't take a stealthy approach but I eventually ran out of ammo and started running towards any house I see lol. Capcom really did a fantastic job can't wait to play the full game

Retains the spirit of the original while expanding on the lore and providing a new twist! As a Spanish speaker, I do like Leon knowing Spanish beforehand in this version.
I love the demo but getting the aiming right still feels weird for me, practice!

"Where's everyone going? Bingo?" complete with camera zoom out made me a very happy man. Couldn't imagine Resident Evil 4 opening any other way.

The bullets look odd in inventory and the bright yellow interactables are unpleasant to the eye but looks fun!
I played the full demo and I love what they're doing with it so far. Can't wait to see what's in store for the full game.

What an incredible demo. There are so many details in the environments, combat, and more! The combat is extremely punchy and satisfying, and the game is much more intense than before. Can’t wait to play the full game!

Finally Spanish actors voicing Spanish character. The villagers talking with Latin American accent was funny but ruined the immersion. I love how they seemed to actually investigate how small rural villages look in that part of Spain too

@@theplatoonerwe underestimated it lmao I love it though. I love that they keep that familiarity to the OG and you instinctively know where to go, but that they also blindside you a little with the challenging aspect of it.
@@Fackunator Capcom also decided to mess with us by adding enemies to the "safe places" so we can't rely on them or the strategies that worked in the OG for survival.
