This demo alone put the same fear in me that the original did in 2005. I was on the edge of my seat. Hearing them talk and knowing they’re watching you from the woods but you can’t see them is just spine tingling. You always have that feeling like you’re being watched. And the atmosphere ….The atmosphere alone is a horror masterpiece.

Military special force groups especially Green Berets, have to be able to speak a foreign language. Leon is said to be a Dso agent, not sure if that is apart of a special force unit or if that is apart of secret service

I tried the demo, the zombies in the game are more aggressive; they will punch you when they have no weapons instead of just choking you, and they run and rush you with their overwhelming numbers.this wont be an easy game, im buying thid definitely

The enemies melee attacks when they have no weapons reminded me of what the enemies were supposed to be like in the first Resident Evil 5 trailer. I really hope they do RE5 remake, even though the og still looks good, the remake would be a chance to make it like it was going to be originally.
Those “zombies” are actually called Ganados.

I felt bad once the demo ended, i wanted more, but have to wait another 2 weeks for the rest of the game.. The graphics are beautiful. 2 weeks can't come soon enough..
This is how they get you hooked! I'm downloading it now, but two weeks is nothing. It'll be here before you know it.
It was pretty much what I expected. Good stuff, but my excitement has dwindled, especially after throwing in 3 hours prior with RE8:Village VR(PSVR2). When you're thrown into the game, in stereoscopic 3D, with full scale characters & environments with 1:1 motion aiming, it makes going back to my 65" OLED feel far less immersive, enjoyable, exciting and clunkier to play.
Really looking forward to it's VR content.
@@NeonPizza80s To each their own. I have VR but after a while it loses it’s appeal. Certain things don’t translate over to VR well and not to mention the heat that dissipates

Code Veronica is a hard game to remake. It would be weird going from 4's remake to a dumbed down gameplay style of Code Veronica that mimics the boring style of RE2:Remake.
Honestly, I wish Capcom would've remade that before doing RE4, cause that game was in desperate need of redo, at first when this announced to be getting the remake treatment, I was skeptical at first because of Remake 3 (considering both that and Remake 2 were meant to be one game together before being separate), but after seeing this, I am a bit more hopeful, but I can tell most of Remake 3's budget went into this remake and this has some massive shoes to fill in for RE4. But after that, I'm kinda want Capcom to give the remake treatment an rest and focus on something else for RE... I would really want for them to remake/complete Outbreak Files 1 and 2 what it was meant to be, that's something to be had there!

Even in the original, it always struck me as eerie and extremely unsettling when the bell would ring during the village attack. Even if they've got you cornered and you're about to die, they dropped everything and ignored you completely. This remake makes it a little more eerie by showing everyone, including the chainsaw dude, ignoring Leon completely, even as they walk right past him.
and to top it off they have a burning cow. nice touch.

Anyone else think the village fight seemed a little too fast and the bell came quicker than expected
Perhaps it was part of the demo. If not, given the amount of enemies thrown at you at once, not to overwhelm a player.
If i remember correctly, the bell come right after we defeat the chainsaw guy. At least that's my playthrough, might be a coincidence

never played a resident evil game until today when i tried the demo of this. Its really good, sucks i dont have money to spare on more games

My only complaint is the Knife having durability and need to be repaired.
It's too clutch for saving ammo, combos and taking care of enemies on the ground.
I would literally abandon parry mechanic as long I can always have it for mop up and pokes.
I like that it forces you to be tactical in every encounter. During the Village part, I had ran out of shotgun bullets, and I ended up breaking my knife, and the only thing that saved me, were the church bells. I love that every encounter can be deadly. Plus with the sneak feature, you’re probably going to be able to move around a lot of encounters you wouldn’t have before.
The trade off is how powerful and how useful the knife is in this game. And there will likely be a way to upgrade durability, so uts not like ull be stuck with the same humble combat knife. U may get upgrades.

That chainsaw guy is so creepy, I didn't expect he is much taller and tougher in this remake.
I think he looks quite off especially with that weird distance between his eyes.But that's just a minor complaint of course.

so it looks like this remake changes quite a lot from the original. starting with the constant equipping of weapons and going into the inventory screen to do that. hopefully the president's daughter is made to be more useful than in the original.

Since Leon can actually speak Spanish now, would be cool to have seen Leon have a actual proper conversation with that first Ganado, with that Ganado seeming friendly at first, but then when Leon finds out, the Ganado takes out his axe and starts swinging.

RE engine is a gift to gaming, being the only engine w/ titles up to this day that were optimized. its eye candy, but least hardware demanding.
Capcom struck gold with this thing and I'm glad that they have been putting it to good use ever since.
