Great photographer, great teacher. I was fortunate enough to see him speak and have lunch with him several years ago. He was a master of seeing the light. He loved back/rim lighting and long lenses. Canon's 400mm f2.8 lens, a beast of a lens, was his favorite as he liked to shoot tight and get rid of all the distractions.
