- London Bridge as we know it was only built in the 1960s. Because the one before that was sold to an American engineer, and taken brick by brick to the middle of the desert in Arizona. So what does it look like now? Victoria Cook has the story.
Now I wonder if someone could buy the Brooklyn bridge and move it to London.
@Rockin Robin nope. they love there level bridges in London, elevated not so much.
Who knows Lucky Wolf
@@carlosrivas1629 oh is that so ?
@@robertmoir5695 pretty cool. look up the truth, it was modeled after an American design.
looks nicer and more well maintained than the current london bridge lol
America the Beautiful
the current bridge looks so plain and boring.
I remember the classic children's song about London Bridge falling down. I could not have imagined it ended up in Arizona, USA, but here it is. What a trophy!
The song is not about this London bridge. the song is about on Old London Bridge, the bridge that preceded this bridge in London from 1209-1831.
Originally built in England in 1830 I think. Lots of Kings and Queens and probably the Beatles have been on that bridge.
Moron that's enough reason 😂😂 y'all just easy to con.
I just love old stone bridges

💥 The MOST interesting Financial Fact about the London Bridge project is that McCulloch and Wood actually made a huge PROFIT on this entire deal!! The bridge that you see in Arizona is only the exterior shell granite of the original bridge from London. You see in this video that when the bridge was rebuilt, they created an interior concrete core and rebuilt the exterior facade granite only. McCulloch then Sold the remainder of the granite stone to cemeterys for grave headstones and also the small granite memorabilia 'Pieces of the London Bridge' to many tourists, thereby making more money in the total bridge project than the total price he paid! You need to consider the Genius involved in the Highest Priced Antique purchase in History and you still make a profit on that Deal! And that is only the money they made on the Bridge, BEFORE the fortune McCulloch made on selling all the Real Estate of his new tourist destination, Lake Havasu City! You are all learning about one of the greatest modern stories of the creation of a new American city! And the Londoners who believed that gossip story about buying the Tower Bridge have No Clue about what a Great success this crazy dream has become!! McCulloch and Wood were brilliant visionaries!! 😂
Is the London Bridge down?
Wtf
The Queen has phoned and wants her bridge back. 😂
Really Robert Waller ?
