Coming from people who commanded those areas is reassuring....only problem is as Gen. Singh pointed out Politicians with complete disregard for national security.
Sat sri akaal Honorable KJ Singh sahib ji Shankar sahib ji as well all listeners, it's always a pleasure to listen Gunnersshot . thanks a lot for explaining the issue in a very simple language... JAI HIND, VANDEMATRAM...
Very very informative.. TanQ
Thank you sir for this informative session 🎉

Gn.shanker sb is samvedan sil masle per conservation ke lia dhanyawad
Very nice podcast. Informative and detailed. Thank you!!
Great analysis by General sir
Jai Bharat ❤
Amazing episode.demographic challenge is the most serious in this area😢. In history we use elephant in war. Why not surprise xhinese with that. 😅.
Late Gen Sagat Singh needs more recognition in our military history.
As a resident of Siliguri, I appreciate his knowledge about the area and it's importance 🙏🙏 sir pls keep making such insightful videos
Excellent presentation! Good to know the caliber of Indian officers !
China needs to educate itself of the new Bharat !
XceLlent..Gen Singh. After all my Sangro company coursemate .
Jai Hind sir Yes, when I was posted in IMTRAT, I was also posted at Duktengang post in 2008. my memories also got refreshed while your speech.
An excellent educative video on chicken neck, clarify common man’s many questions and fears of Chinese invasion plans of future.
With so much knowledge in 1 hour, KJS sir has shown his humour too, hehe. Excellent session sir, just a request to you sir only if it’s possible to explain us about the naval bases in Andaman & Nicobar. I mean are we building capabilities there to counter Chinese trade by blocking malacca strait.
Did such a program a year back
@@gunnersshot9829 okay sir, will search it and watch it. Thanks again🙌🏻
Great knowledge Sir , regards
Once again, the depth of knowledge of these old soldiers is remarkable. China has always been the prime mover behind the secessionist movements in the east. It always erodes India's sovereignty and control with its eastern states as well as its eastern neighbours like Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan etc.
Their salami slicing is real. What they ask from Bhutan by coercion is merely the beginning.
We definitely need to send a message to our enemies. YOU WILL PAY A VERY HIGH PRICE. I think your program sends this message in spades.
Thanks Gen K J Singh and Gen Shankar for a wonderful overview of this issue.
Salute to you sirs . Thanks 🙏
As a fmn cdr in the same area I can suggest that Chumbi is a graveyard for China. Yes what is worrisome is that Bhutan appears to have developed weak knees and may allow China to widen the dagger! They run the risk of getting stuck within. Yes Siliguri , Cooch Bihar, Malda , Darjeeling and movements like GNLF, KLO etc and Demography are weak areas. Gen KJ very well explained. Thank you
Thanks sir
Zabardast ❤ 🙏🏻
Great content sir, can you add time stamps as well?
Jai Bhaarat Sir
❤
Jaigaon( getaway of Bhutan) is situated under Alipurduar district
Alipurduar ( District)is also there near coochbehar.
Very interesting listening.
Sir, kindly arrange on Kaladan Project too. Curious to know about it.
Ok
Further India can built an elevated transit rail or road over Bangladesh with no exits in Bangladesh . India can pay transit fee. With no exit or entry in Bangladesh ,there is no issue of important or export management.
It always a surprise to see the comprehensive preparedness of the Military.. Just goes to show how uninformed, and ill-informed the news media is. Great program General !
A key question is why our Govt can not do some territory exchange with Bangladesh or Nepal and widen this corridor
TRIED AND FAILED
Hindi me sahi h
Don’t forget that we are neighbors with Maldives, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia etc too. They’re our maritime neighbors.
Please convince Bangladesh to swap a buffer zone below corridor and give them equal sq miles along the eastern border towards Tripura. Create a win-win situation.
Hmm
Gen. Shankar sir, may I ask you a quesetion:
Can China use strategic bomber planes to carry out carpet bombings to destroy our impt places followed by airborne paradrop, infantry intrusion and artillery shelling to capture Siliguri corridor ?
In short, Have we taken use of strategic bombers by china into consideration in defending silliguricorridor?
It can not do that. It’s asking for trouble. Carpet bombing for what of what ?
Respected Generals, I have the suspicion that they are entering Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan as normal citizen, populating those places becoming respective citizen of that country and then entering India and you people know what all can be done. Has our government thought about that.
yes...just started.
The root cause of all the problems in India is Politicians and babus
Much has been written on this "Siliguri" corridor, calling it Chicken neck. Recently it has come into prominence. Here as an instance, of Pushp Kamal Dahal, the ruler of Nepal asking India to provide a land corridor for Nepal, till Bangladesh border. The idiot must know that India's own security is much more at stake that can't be compromised. He isn't an idiot but was made to ask this by his master's voice, PRC.
PRC is worried that this entry point to North-East that includes part of West Bengal state, would be used to fill N-E with the full range of military assets. Yes, India will bloody well do that and nobody needs to question it or doubt Indian intention.
Returning to the Siliguri corridor or Naxalbari "gap" (between River Mahananda forming border with Bangladesh and River Mechi with Nepal), it isn't worth calling it a corridor, which for defence purpose can't be that narrow. It is uniformly 22-23 km wide and 21 km +, at its narrowest. We are fortunate to live in this age of "dynamic" & ready maps (Google Earth that the American Administration has left for general public use across the globe & others). What used to take a year or more, to bring out all details onto a map on paper (the collection of my atlases is collecting dust because of non-use), it takes just a click of the mouse now, to know all the details.
Just 22 km wide gap between two countries that each might turn out to be cat's paw in the hands of our military adversary, is a bad idea. At least 40 km (25 mile wide) will take care of a railway line, roads, rivers & canals that pass through - while accommodating civilian population with their villages (with the unplanned influx from both the neighbours, if factored in). Length of the gap (about 20 km long) warrants the positioning of a cantonment, to keep the passage free, as per the demand arising in the N-E.
An opportunity arose, when the umpteen number of enclaves & exclaves (on both sides of international borders) were exchanged with our friend in east, to address attention to Siliguri corridor. Exchange of equal territory (like the 3-bigha corridor to Dahagrama enclave, that has the potential to become an eye sore). But the opportunity wasn't grabbed.
Hmm
As a Bangladeshi, there should be no indian access through Bangladesh unless there is full access to China through india.
If not India ..Bangladesh would be Pakistan
@@SrikanthIyerTheMariner If not for the Bangladeshis you would have 2 pakistan's, one on either side so be grateful.
Good continue in your splendid isolation .
@@gunnersshot9829 isolation only from india, does not mean isolation from the world. Its not like Nepal, that you can blockade us. Were not land locked.
Are u the product of thousands of rapes on bengali women by pakistani troops in 1971?
A true bangladeshi will not talk like that😂
As a resident of Kolkata, and working in Sikkim and Siliguri area ( almost 2 and half years - April'06 - August'08 ) gather very good knowledge from Gen, Singh Sir .... I would request to Gen. Shankar Sir to hv some more podcast like this one ....
Sir I hv also work in Malda and Murshidabad during this stint and sorry to say that Malda and Murshidabad are the most notorious place in West Bengal ... Rather to say most of the pockets in these areas are called "Chit Mahal" of Pakistan and due to the blessings from our present state government these areas became the hub and heaven of terrorists. (from both ISI and Jamat of Bangladesh )
Why more time to Lt gen KJSingh, his speech is not clear
hmm
india promised Bangladesh $8bn in development loans, couldn't even manage more then $920mn while China provided over $48bn in the same period. india is all talk no action, it neither has the infra capability nor the money to help its neighbours but insists that they don't go to China. So what are they to do remain poor and underdeveloped?
Chinese Bot Alert
@@SrikanthIyerTheMariner Nah, a Bangladeshi, and proud.
Hmm. All the best with China.
All to best with China. May you have your Hambantota moment.
@@gunnersshot9829 Unlikely as Bangladesh has always paid its debts in full, and never defaulted. even if we did have a "Hambantota moment", it would be india who loses.
Y didn't we took or swapped few districts from BD during 1971 or now?
We would have made a sea boder for NE if our Government had thought about that.
You couldn't then and you can't do it now. stop wet dreaming.
Hmm
