    Thanks, Sharon, for the useful tips! I have a few questions:
    Q1) Did you present your case study via Zoom or Google Meet during the interview?
    Q2) After setting up 'Presenter View,' did you share your Google Doc slides through screen sharing on Zoom or Google Meet?
    Q3) Did you use the built-in microphone on your Mac, or did you purchase an external microphone? Do you have any recommendations?
    Q4) Did you opt for Google Docs slides instead of Figma presentations because of the speaker notes feature?
    Your insights are greatly appreciated!

    I've been in the process of interviewing for UX summer internships and your videos have been so helpful (def have stolen the speaker notes tip!) I've been getting rejected after I complete the final stage of interviews... any tips on how to set yourself apart from other applicants? Thanks so much!

      Hey! Yeah then it sounds like the issue is not your resume or initial portfolio impression but showing the depth of your design thinking during the actual interview stage. To “set yourself” apart really goes back to 1) how thorough your actual case studies are 2) if you’re able to articulate your design decisions clearly. Doing one well helps the othe

    Any tips for reading from script while sharing your screen doing a whiteboard challenge?

    • @sharonyeunkim
      @sharonyeunkim  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Hi! Usually, whiteboard challenges are meant to have no preparation in terms of scripting with it. At most you can ask if you can bring a framework but the nature of a whiteboard challenge is for you to think on the spot and not have a script.

    Honest question - I am interviewing right now and i was wondering is it beneficial to build a presentation in Figma or can I stick to Google Slides?

    • @sharonyeunkim
      @sharonyeunkim  Před měsícem

      Figma works too! I know people who presented using prototype mode in Figma. Whatever you're comfy with!!

    Thank you so much, that's quite helpful to me as my mother language isn't English and I always struggle with the presentation.
