One may call it deadweight takedown lol he just falls on u like a sack of stones. Good timing and leverage plus the positioning if he gets to full mount the moment he and his opponent r on the ground.

@@miguelladinodevera614 it works because the double underhook, you push into the upper body with your head/shoulders, bending the opponents back back but because you have your arms controlling the hips he cant pull the rest of his body along when his back gets bent to far causing him to loose balance

Jiri's mindset is something to behold, does anyone NOT think that if Goddard didn't stop the fight vs Alex that Jiri could have found a way to fight his way back into the fight? What he did to Reyes and Glover was crazy, his fight with Glover is my favorite fight ever. Thank God he's relatively young.

@deadsi He later said in a Czech interview that he wasn't being truthful when he said that he was out of the fight when Marc Goddard stopped the fight, he simply lied and said mark did the right thing stopping the fight just so the ref wouldn't get flamed online, goes to show how humble jiri is.

@@deadsi He also said that he recovered fast and he could've continued, i mean, if you watch the fight, he stand ups almost immediately and very fast, you cannot do that if you are out.
And people say thay Alex would have finished him anyways because he was on full mount, but I don't believe that because Alex hips were too high to ground and pound effectively giving Jiri enough time to recover and space to scramble.
About the early stopage, Jiří said that despite the early stopage, he didn't wanna create any dramas or scenes immidietely after so he chose the honor path and said it was a good stopage to silence any criticism. This guy is a real deal and we are all proud to have a guy like that represent our little country and nation :) Great video, i saw some footage i never seen before, cheers!

Nemkov went on to become LHW champ in Bellator and the King Mo lost was in the same night right after that 10 minute round with Nemkov
I remember watching the firs Rizin Event, of course, because Fedor was back. It was a 2 day Event, and i remember the Nemkov vs Jiri fight quite well. Nemkov was winning the fight, but it was only his 5th MMA fight ever, and then also fighting the 10 minute opening round. But still mad respect for Nemkov. Jiri was definitely more experienced compared to Nemkov.

I’ll explain all of Jiri’s fights in one word: Samurai
One needs to follow Jiri's career for longer than just couple of UFC fights to understand how he fights.
He needs to get hurt first to switch into that hunter killer berserk mode where he finishes the opponents rather quickly.
You can see this pattern in a majority of his fights. He even said it himself numerous times in the Czech interviews.
In light of that the stoppage in the fight with Poatan was way too early.
And the fact that Jiri stood up for the ref cause he did not want to create more unnecessary drama only testifies to his character.
Proud to have such a sportsman as our countryman.

The Nemkov fight is so good, definitly worth a watch. Also Nemkov became Bellator champ afterward, so he's pretty legit.

I’m not saying your wrong about Poatan being frightfully powerful. But, let’s be real, Goddard jumped in sooooooo early against Jiri and Alex after Jiri won the first round on all the judges scorecards. It was a very terrible early stoppage.

He always use steroids, epo, weed and cocaine each and every fight. Not to mention he always uses illegal techniques like eyepokes and shoulder crank which is very cowardly.

You should have added his statement at Helwani show after the fight with Poatan where he says that before that fight he had an ear infection, that he was on antibiotics and that he only trained for one week a month before the fight. A lot of people don't. He said he didn't want to postpone the fight. I think it affected his body a lot and his performance that night.

Jiri was not faking that he is out of breath in fight with Solc.. You can see how big he is. At that time he was doing a lot of weight lifting and his cardio was not good. He was focusing on end the fight fast. After that in Rizin he was no longer lifting so much and he was focusing more on cardio, because he realized that without cardio he can't beat better fighters who can survive his pressure at the beginning... Btw amazing work. To see all his fights in one video...

I've been telling people for a while that Jiri basically developed and utilized his style BACKWARDS. He starts off as an amateur with pretty conventional MMA techniques and was more careful and less wild. Then as he rose up the MMA world difficulty ladder, he got more wild and looks less "refined". The wild shit he uses in the UFC octagon is the type of shit most fighters used at the lower level.
