"They don't have a top class squad like Liverpool". Liverpool literally spent only a fraction of what United spend. There was nothing stopping United from going out and getting Salah, Luis Diaz, VVD, Jota etc etc. Liverpool take average/above average players and turn them in to superstars. United take potential superstars and turn them in to average players. McGuire was more expensive than VVD, how can anyone defend that? No vision. Poor recruitment. That's the big difference
Expensive doesn’t mean world class
@@brianechavarria it does for united scouts i guess
@ryan Mcluckie that’s pretty much what he said lol
I see no wrong
I think Man United's squad is actually better than Liverpool
Maguire invented no look defending
this one is funny 😂
@@scottarceneauxjr.239 and original
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best comment😂
This is probably the best comment I've ever seen on YT.
After watching the first 20 minutes of the Atletico game..... No chance at all
😂 🤣 🤣
That’s what I’m saying!!! No Chemistry what so ever an giving the ball away That one goal was luck…
@@briansegura7219 Bruno dropped a stinker of a performance
Fax.....sadly ronaldo was shambolic yesterday...pogba lost the ball a lot...varane was decent...elanga was great
How it ended 1-1 I have no idea, but fair play on getting that result
Absolutely no chance in hell after what I’ve just witnessed very much doubt we’ll win the 2nd leg against Athletico imagine if we played Bayern , Liverpool , City the list goes on especially if we play like!
Yes! They've got all the qualities needed. World class fridge at CB, Mcfred whopper commanding the midfield and top whinger in fernandes
Whinger 🤣
Bruno has 6 assists in the ucl
@@Yeahagreed what does he want? A medal
@@lewis523 shouldn't have his name next to those incompetent donkeys
That title is like saying are PSG capable of winning the premier league... in other words it can’t happen.
Not even PSG, the title is clearly saying does Munchen 1860 has the quality to win Bundesliga
Meanwhile PSG can’t even win a champions league with literally the best and one if not the most expensive teams…
So long as there's a mathematical probability it can happen.
Leicester 5000-1 anyone?
@@joelbuckle6658 we are closer than u lot😂
We have a good chance I’ll see u again when we have won it
If porto can win it in 2004 and liverpool in 2005 then anything is possible and so man utd cud win it, but we all know they wont as there r many better teams than them left in the competition. My point is, its been proved that a team can win it even if they r not even the best. Only the best teams win their domestic leagues.
Short answer is no. Any sort of pressing and we fold. 🤦♂️
I would rather bet Chelsea winning the premier league than United winning the champions league
Close your shorts Ken!
That’s stupid. UCL is a cup competition, anything can happen and anyone can win it. Not anyone can win the league. Chelsea won last year and no one expected that. Right after bringing in a German coach too.
@@Rezcuz I mean mathematically on points
City are winning sorry💙
@@banterbeards8967 But not United lol. It’s impossible. Certain teams cannot win it at all - United, Benfica, Inter, Lille. It’s impossible and I’ll say that with chest
They can win it - they're just unlikely to. Liverpool won it in 2005, Porto in 2004, Red Star Belgrade in 1991. Denmark and Greece won the Euros. It's a knockout competition, anything can happen.
Anything can happen but they aren’t a good team at the end of the day least those teams u mentioned teams who had a style of play
Exactly
@@ndukandu9596 What was Sir Alex's style of play? What was Mourinho's style of play? Some managers adapt to their opposition. A style of play isn't necessary to win at the highest level.
@@antoniosvasilellisneto379 u sound mad stupid rn every team needs to have a style of mourinho had low block park the bus and counter Ferguson was attacking suffocating style every successful team needs style
The difference between united and liverpool/Greece was that they had good team ethic/chemistry and belief. We are a shambles and no cohesion.
Hell yeah we can! In my FIFA career mode of course.
With Maguire, I don't know how we're not odds-on favourites
Weren’t these same exact Utd greats saying how good the team was under their mate Ole? 🤔
2nd In the league last Ssn and a European finale Ronaldo joining Is what cost them cause they abandoned there playstyle and made it all pass to Ronaldo fc
@@IncogRacc not only that
And the minute Ralf had difficulty, they're the first to criticise
Bruh atletico hit the bar 3 times yesterday. When United face a better opponent who can actually finish they will get dismantled
They don’t have what it takes to win an FA cup or Carabao cup let alone a champion league
Can’t even win at home against a low 2nd division team
🤣
The players have to look at themselves, almost the whole team. Youth is the way to moving forward for United like how SAF did it for 95/96 season! Fred should look at his own game before talking about long term planning by the club. Ole was nice to this bunch and we all know what they did to him. Fernandes Ronaldo Maguire Pogba Shaw Rashford the list is soooo long. They are so inconsistent whether they are meeting a strong team or team at the bottom of the premiership, these players show a lack of heart for the club and fans. At least RR subs are effective! This is after watching the round of 16.
Man United winning the Ucl this season will be the biggest upset in world football than Leicester winning the Epl in 2016.
If this Man United play Bayern 😭😭😭
Bayern lost to Bochum (lowest in the Bundesliga)... drew with RB Salzburg. Mmmh ☺☺☺☺
@@diroysama8558 Man U lost to Watford and drew with Newcastle too
No it won’t 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Calm down
@@diroysama8558 Bochum is placed at midfield of table in Bundesliga and Salzburg would beat ManU easily. Bayern have their days off, but they won't ever lose against United, c'mon
Yes. What an easy question to answer. Nice of BT to cover such an important topic in the game
If we released maguire and put Edison cavani at the back it would increase our chances
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It'd be nice if they could string a few passes together
Maguire god of defending at ancient Greek is there so they can win
Am i the only one who audibly laughed when I saw the title
Nope
United dont have cm's who can control the game, Fred and Pogba and McTom just constantly give the ball away, not one can hold it and play simple then pick out the attacking pass when it's on, the coaching isn't good enough if the players aren't doing it on the pitch, Rashford came unto the seen at United like Elanga and now he's turning into Bebe, needs a loan or sold. Jones could play CM better than the 3 I mentioned aswell
Keeping the ball is the issue ? Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata are the answers to that question
Yes they got the aging ronaldo, a good leader maguire, work horse fred, new roy keane mctominay, pogba hair style, complaining bruno, top attacking fullback bissaka , fat luke shaw, sancho who disappeared , and rashford who had potential, lingardinho, king bailly, greatest defender of all time phil jones😂😂 what a team🔥
Wtf 😂😂😂😂😂
Pogba's hair style is the only option I can rely about Manchester United 😂😂😂
Let's not forget about the young and up and coming Lingardinho
Remember when Rio thought Ole would bring them the silverware?
Sign him up🤣😂
Iv been a Manchester Utd fan for 28 Years years and I totally Agree with Then all Utd need to bring in a stable manger that know how to be a manger and get the players he’s got there playing to there best because there’s a lot of word class players in this squad but they just need the right Guidance and then it will come together 👌
Just 3
Manchester United have been tasting defeat like Paul Scholes 😋 🦶
LOL Underrated Comment!
Nice
Made my day 😂
Rio think that out of 16 teams in the competition, only 5/6 are better than Utd.
City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern, PSG, Juventus, Ajax, Real Madrid, Benfica, Inter Milan, Villereal
That’s 11 and the other teams could cause Utd trouble.
Nail biting analysis from scholsey there
He is only there because of his footballing clout, he is objectively not a good pundit
Cat-kickingly brilliant by Zouma at the weekend.
Who the best CB RB
Same 04
1 more thing...get a couple tough midfielder that can glue the team together - currently mcfred is not the glue, they are erratic so called defensive midfielder
It's not just about buying players. They've got 14/15 players at the club who a toxic. They will never get anywhere while they are still there. Sell them first.
Best achievement since fergie left was an fa cup win with LVG, Rooney almost never won it in his career without that
Continuity............. Periods get better over time
Gest Rice/Bissouma a centre back and then they can could challenge
Come on how many times with those boys or in the championship run? Top 2 and they going all the way for consistency.
I like talent on the wings. Robben and Roberto Carlos.
Got knocked out by West Ham and Middlesbrough in carabao/fa but people think they’ll win ucl 😂
Not to mention gaping holes in the defence and midfield any decent team would 5-0 united if league 2 teams are beating them..
Who thinks they'll win. The most biased man utd fan would say no
Champions league is knockout football your form doesn’t mean a thing
A team like Bayern at it best will just crusify them, maybe what Bayern did to Barcelona will be better.
yeah but it would be classic Utd to get past ATM, I didn't think they'd beat PSG a couple of years back but they seem to turn it on in CL... but you'd be daft to put a bet on them winning it
Yes definitely and the reason is Harry Maguire 💯🔥🔥
Would be sick to see all 3 of them as managers going head to head
United have a lot of good, important pieces of different jigsaws
Scholesy is spot on. United need a top, elite manager who’s won things wherever he’s gone, a serial winner who will definitely bring trophies, like Antonio Conte.
I'm amazed they are still in the competition right now. If I was simeone I'd be livid at my team for not beating this man u team. I feel athletico are in poor form and man u are very lucky to have drawn them at this stage of the competition.
This summer is important. If I add Tevez and Carrick.
By what parameter is utd the biggest club in the world? I've often heard it. Not by income, size of stadium, number of international trophies etc..
athletio could be in with a chance to get to semis , there good unit.
If the quarterfinals were City, Liverpool, Bayern, Chelsea, Ajax, PSG/Madrid, Juventus and United than United are easily the weakest team there and they’re the team everyone will want to play.
Agreed. Ajax and Man Utd/Athletico aside, pretty much any of those teams likely to progress stands a good chance of making the final. But it is still questionable whether Man Utd will be among the last 8.
Owen Hargreaves... The Win win win win guy 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Liverpool remind me of the old United with Ferguson when they'd throw in some balloon like Raphael or Phil Neville but the system is so strong that it works. Liverpool could throw on a 13 year old and it'd be fine, United no longer have a clear system, formation or philosophy. Ps champs league is a knock out comp at this stage, anyone can win it.
The problem manchester united is having is that no coach will be able to come and do what fergie did becausehe took average players and turned them into champions. I am sure wasnt spending that much when fergie was manager
I enjoyed evra and obertan too
If they could beat Watford that'd be a start
They are the underdogs
What kind of a question is that? That same United got humilitated by City, Liverpool and Watford just a couple months ago. No chance whatsoever
The watford one was just funny 4-1 at vicarage road 😂😂😂
No is the simple answer but they may be ok with the conference league thing next year
Probably not. However, if United does struggle through the Semi-finals and then plays out of their skins or gets lucky in the final, it won't be the first time an average side has ended up taking this or any other knockout trophy. Football is that kind of game, indeed this seems to happen in no other game.
United have a great individual squad but they don't have a TEAM like city or liverpool. A TEAM which plays for each other as a unit. They are not united as a team. When I see liverpool or city games even when players make mis passes, the other players help them overcome that mistakes. Right now I can't see that at united. It'll take time.
The fact that we have had so many top managers shows the problem is the players. We have so many average players, how many of them would even get into Man city or Liverpool?
It's not rocket science - Liverpool & City have squads full of players who work hard alongside their ability.
Man Utd have lots of quality but no work ethic.
A manager can only do so much to get players working hard without the ball.
Pogba hasn't put a shift in for his entire career & has worked under some good managers at Utd - he's 28, his attitude won't be changed now.
Utd could do with buying some experienced Premiership players (27-28) who are noted for working hard but not having the best ability to be the new leaders of the team & then bring through younger players with ability to have the proper work ethic instilled in them by those players.
But I can't see them doing it.
they need to go back to basics, more communication on the pitch, stick with a game plan, have a Marshall on the pitch to police the team if game plan is not executed
Now Scholes and Keane best duo
I'd like to see Rivaldo and Romario
I would say. LB Heinze or Evra CB Stam CB Rio RB Best I dunno. Must have best pace.
I'm really sorry for Rangnick he got the software for Windows 10 yet his hardware can only hold Windows XP
BRING IT HOME
Why not? This time last year I don't think anyone would have have predicted Chelsea winning the UCL last May.
The defense is our major problem and as long as we keep on starting Maguire we ain't winning nothing, cz our attackers "World Class" attackers ain't doing much right now also
Who would Man Utd be ahead of for the CL? Salzburg and Ajax/Benfica maybe. Villarreal?
Top class manager like the bitter transient Oldham manager?! How many days was it?
September we play old music
Who better? LB and CB
Let’s revisit this in 10 years.
They have a decent chance to win it but I dont see them getting past teams like Bayern, City, PSG, Liverpool
Mctominay left and they don't play good enough Scott is is the machine in midfield
Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf
I can't remember any others. Right now. Not looking just recollecting.
I thought it was a clickbait but they actually discussed it..
Talk about getting players out than players in.
Hopefully they win the 2nd leg but at the moment, taking football lesson from AM players.
Who are these lot of great players?
"proper manager"...So disrespectful to the interim manager...never heard him say this when OLE was on the wheel. At least try to be subtle
They have their best squad in a fair decade right now. No reason why they can't win it if they keep progressing under Ralf. Isn't their squad more expensive than City's lol?
No its not.
Won't be easy but still time for their gameplay to get better, doing great so far & come a long way in my opinion
Say my beloved United makes it to the final they will find a way to bottle it!
Owen is spot on.
Thanks bt sport I needed a laugh
Absolutely No Chance there are other teams they play with consistency and structure Manchester United is Nowhere near the other best teams in Champions League.
Good team. Denmark or Holland keeper or just barthez
Talent like Foden
Even I can't help them in winning of trophy,,,,with player like Fred,Maguire, bisaka, shaw,🤚🏻🤚🏻🤚🏻
City don’t miss in transfers? Grealish?
It's rivalry. He wouldn't cause of the legacy.
is that a conversation?
no hope and Bob Hope
No. Bluntly but honestly, Man United didn't show that they have the pedigree to win the Champions League. Much too less in quality to be in the quarter finals, since they failed to convince anyone that they can beat Atletico Madrid. Don't see that Man United will see them off at the Old Trefford either.
I come here sometimes to see how Man Utd is doing. And I get a good laugh. Fun.
Not after that first half
correction: was the biggest club in the world
I like Heinze and Rio
Jordan would say say defense first
