  • A few months ago I did a list of what I think are the worst level 0 cards: • The Worst Level 0 Card... -- today I'm revisiting the list with the ones that cost XP! While the effects of these aren't terrible, I find them to be just overcosted, which is especially important when talking about spending XP!
    00:00 Intro
    02:32 Guardian
    03:39 Seeker
    04:51 Rogue
    05:42 Mystic
    06:21 Survivor

He back! Nice vid. I really wanna try out the Council's Coffer, it's definitely got some appeal to it. It searches your deck like the 5xp No Stone Unturned does, but also saves the resources and action to play it, also potentially attacks of opportunity if the last person to trigger the coffer is safe, but say the two or three others are swamped with enemies, boss etc. It's a powerful effect and the crappiest thing is for me at least the once per campaign clause, of it were once per game, it could be built around. I'd like to try it. I don't own it yet though...

Good arguments for all of them imo. There are so many more efficient ways to do stuff now when the card pool is as large as it is, many of these become a hard sell.
You did remind me that the coffer exist! I was so unsure how it worked the first time I read it - it is not even sorted with the rest of my Neutral XP cards 😅

Council's coffer is obviously bad but it's ability to ignore all costs on any type of card means that you end up with some interesting (if not good) niches with cards with prohibitive additional costs like Hallow. The fact it's once per game makes this more like an achievement than anything else, although if you remove 4 doom from the agenda I'd hope you win that scenario even if you spent 9 actions doing so.

Clean Sneak was the first card that sprang to mind when I saw the title. Since you've already covered that one I'll nominate another high-xp Rogue card in Cheat Death. It's 5xp for a purely defensive card, and even that defensive effect is pretty bad. It does nothing at all unless you are defeated, and even then there are many scenario effects it can't save you from. There are a great many cards at less than 5xp that will do more to help you cheat death than Cheat Death.

I really want Cheat Death to work, and I keep looking at it to put into a deck someday, but man, 5 XP!! I can think of a lot of times that I wished I had it in my hand, but as you say, spend the XP on something else instead.

These short videos with ur opinions about cards are strategies are just magnificent. And I agree with all of them in this video.

Was a little confused at first because I thought this was level 1 only and then the first card was a level 5 card.

on your #2, the card has +2 fist icons, and if you wanted to help your fighter just commit that card to it test free! which makes the actual test of the card even worse

Expose Weakness I think makes sense if the "next attack" text wasn't on there - i.e. if dropped the fight for all attacks until the end of the phase.
