If Rhule and his the GM have their way they won't draft Pickett. Rhule and co. know they need to win now to keep their jobs. A rookie QB of Pickett's caliber is not going to do that. I personally don't think Pickett is worthy of the pick. Weak QB class.
Also, the progression of Mac Jones, and Belichick. What are we going to see from this young QB?? Mac Jones was certainly accurate last year, with a completion pct of 67.6. He threw for just under 4,000 yards and had 22 touchdowns passed. If we see a huge jump for Mac Jones this year, I won't be shocked. I just don't think he is going to be the "man" in the AFC East. That belongs to Josh Allen and perhaps maybe Tua at some point. Not sure what to expect from Wilson with the Jets.
Drafting a any qb just because sam and cam are washed is not a good reason. None of these qbs are gunna save rhules job. Wait and draft a guy next year

Why would you take Sam Darnold 2.0 when the reason Sam Darnold didn’t work was because the Oline was horrible?
Upgrade the OL and the quarterback will improve!
To be fair, they've done some decent overhauling there in the off-season.
You can have an all pro O line and darnold will still suck.

Kurt Warner great quarterback. Not a GM. The Panthers do not take Pickett. He is not a #6 draft pick. He's not even the best quarterback in the draft.

He's probably the most complete quarterback of the bunch at the moment, in the sense that he does everything a qb needs to do at a good enough level. But he probably has the lowest ceiling out of the top 6-7 guys in this years draft. Safe pick, absolutely. #6, absolutely not.

You’re projecting your own bias against running QB’s but aren’t citing any facts or proof of your claims.
The rpo doesn’t work in NFL. The rides aren’t the same as ncaa. It’s just not the same. It can work at times but not as the focal point. Rpo is nice but it’s more of a check/option. But u can’t do it As base package
