I have literally experienced this and every single thing that you said was accurate. When the connection is there and the timing is not right, its best to just be willing to wait for divine timing. I’ve had to learn that just because l may desire the relationship at the wrong time, it’s just not worth the risk rushing and not letting God bring it to me at the right time. Honestly it’s best to shift your focus and work on the areas, goals etc. and be willing to wait for it while working on yourself.

As a guy this was helpful for me too. I met someone who I had the most amazing connection with. She was pretty much everything I've wanted and more. God was also at work between us. I experienced massive spiritual growth during our time together, including deliverance from addiction. I was convinced that she could be the one. But a lot of things you mentioned applied to us, including lack of stability, healing, and possibly maturity. And God also made it clear to me that it wasn't time for a relationship, and so we ended up parting ways.
I don't know if God plans on bringing us back together, but I know that I won't settle for anything less than the connection that we had. The chances of her coming back or me finding someone better seem equally impossible to me, but I believe that God is a God who does the impossible. Right now my focus is on following him and wherever he's leading me next.

What is meant for you will always find its way back to you. Over time we naturally gravitate back to things we love & things that speak to our heart. We can meet someone we have a strong connection with but if we are not ready to receive love it will not happen. Often both partners have to go through a wilderness period to build our character spiritually & emotionally into a level of maturity to handle the vulnerability and commitment required of a loving relationship. Everything must come into alignment and things will fall into place. True love is always present yet if the relationship is not nurtured and watered how will it thrive & take root. The “right woman”
My friend and I broke up after almost 3 months. It was the wrong time for both of us. Well 9 months later we have reconnected we are taking it slow and the Lord is a very large part of us. I had been carrying around distrust since I was six. My friend who is a minister has helped me pray to rid myself of theses horrible feelings. They are almost completely gone and we are moving on with our relationship slowly. No more mistakes. You are so terrific. Thank you

I’ve been waiting on this video! I wholeheartedly believe in right person, wrong time! I’m literally in this situation as I type. Our connection is like nothing I’ve ever experienced! We are real friends first, before anything else. We have talks often about us and what we want from each other if/when the time ever presents itself. We both are at points in our lives where we know we’re not ready to enter into a relationship. We’re both on separate self development and healing journeys. We both want a healthy relationship and most importantly for it to be RIGHT! I know this man is MY ONE and I pray that our timing is in alignment with God’s timing!

I’m going through something almost exactly the same right now
You’ve explained it all. We started as a long distance relationship 15 years ago. I had initiated the meeting in person. Took care of the tabs. Even initiate moving together. Took care of the finances and his school to better him. Have a child together. I had alway pour into the relationship. I had felt like it was always a one way. I finally realized that he isn’t right for me. Like you said, if a man loves you, he would do everything to get there to make you happy. I am at peace right now and ending this relationship. Years doesn’t matter anymore when you are let down so many times. You have to take the bull by it’s horn. Ready to take charge of my life and happiness. Loves your videos. One thing that I’m learning during my single season is that timing is everything! If it’s not the right time then I’m cool with that because GOD’s timing is always better. I’ve met some good guys that made me think hmmmmmm all is not lost they do still exist! With that being said I’m very hopeful for the future and until then I will utilize this time to continue to work on myself.

Long distance and lack of financial stability is what ended my 1 year relationship. It felt so one sided, he meant well but I was the one making plans to visit him and honestly it began to irritate me. I finally let it go. Good man but he needed to get himself together before entering any relationship 🤷🏾

I did this for 5 years before I saw "the light"... spent 10 thousands, did the whole partner emigration thing, paid for everything. Distance makes it harder to see the abuse. I let go in the end. It was his time to come over the bridge, I had done enough .. he only wanted to when I had let go of him.

I just experienced this. I met this guy. He and I have a great connection, love the same things, we dated for a couple months. and he let me go because he wasn't ready. He told me I did nothing wrong, that I was amazing and everything he wants, but he got scared and realized he wasn't ready for where we were heading and what we had. We are still good friends and talk, but timing is everything in life. It just wasn't the right time.

I totally agree. I had a connection with someone new after my divorce, but my extenuating circumstances along with not being healed from my divorce, I wasn’t ready. This left me with regrets of the unrealized potential I lost.

I felt this way a few weeks ago. I met someone we went on one date. One day I told her it wasn’t working out because she was always busy and the communication lacked. She told me that a situation with her friend was taking a toll on her. That it wasn’t the right time. I still don’t know what to think now but I’ve left and tried dating others but no luck.

I know this video was directed at the women, but man I couldn't help but relate to most of these scenarios with different women. And it's sad to think about all the relationships that didn't get a fair chance because I was worried about losing them, when I was actually hurting my chances by trying to make them work. This is my second time listening to this specific popcast. You're so on point. I'm in my kitchen spinning in circles, like i really can't believe you're saying these things word for word. I've met this person, found out I was his high school crush. After communicating with him, it was like instant i realized we had such a crazy connection. It got scary to the point, I couldn't understand why I'm feeling the way I do. It was as if, I was floating on air and could not stop myself. I found myself crying because i didn't like how I've became so vulnerable. Also as you mentioned, I'm that person that protects me at all cost. This attitude as I don't need anyone. I recently met a really good guy who didn’t want to be in a relationship, just wanted to date. Based on a lot of things I think it was a right guy wrong time situation. He, I believe, has not healed from his ex. It’s clear he’s still hurting, but he’s in denial. Even with his initial stance on no relationship status we were getting close until his ex started stirring trouble again with his friends which led him to tell me he likes me, but wanted a break. I believe the ex is the reason he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. All I can do is honor his need for a break and pray that if he’s the right man for me God helps him heal and leads him back to me. In the meantime, I pray for peace and strength to move on.
Stephan as usual you spoke volumes and truth.I have waited patiently for this video in particular.And I agree with you on all you have said.I totally understand everything you have spoken.I met this man of God years ago,and I knew years in advance that their are good men out there,I always said that even though I was in a very painful,hurtful marriage.So when the Lord brought this man of God to me I was not ready at all.Btw my husband had abandon me and our 2 children, way before I met this man of God.I thought I was ok,healed,delivered,etc..,but I definitely wasn't.Past issues,flash backs,and just plain old fear cause me to sabotage the beginnings of what could have been.However it caused me to become aware of my underlying issues and fear.I thank God for showing me these behaviors and thought patterns, so He can heal me.Thank you Stephan for your spiritual words of wisdom. Stephan hearing your video I felt like I went through all those stages. My previous relationship we met our last year of college and he was my first bf. Our connection was real with lots of love. From the start he told me after graduation he would leave to the army. I was blinded to it and thought “he’s here now. I want to try”. We were both told by our family to break up because long distance would be too hard. A year and half goes by and the conversation of long distance comes up and we choose to not talk about it and hope for the best. He leaves to seattle while I live in NC. We ended breaking up because I didn’t want to give up on my dreams here in NC and he didn’t want to give up on his military career. We didn’t know how we would get back together when we were going two separate ways so we thought letting go of each other will be best until we met again. This relationship made me closer to God and now that it’s over I feel like I want to grow even more closer to God.
This video really opened my eyes for myself. Every time my mind is at ease, I have this gut feeling that this specific person in particular is the one but I know now that I have things going on holding me back and sabatoging the potential of our relationship and I’m sure he does too. I’m really just going to have to let it be and focus on getting my self together and just wait and see if my gut is right.

This message is true. Me and my husband are going through this very thing right now. We have been sperated for about seven years he's finishing up medical school...and I wanted to attend ministry school... we had to make some adjustments. But now he wants to get back together and start a family, I was like this is God he has a timing for everything. There was a lack of maturity on both sides. I had my degrees but he was getting his career life together... but the man must lead and be a provider. This video should be the best supported. This really had to happen in order for my husband to lead. God Bless You!

Completely believe in this. Just had to end it with the man of my dreams. We had a great committed relationship for quite some time but he was so damaged from 2 previous relationships that he had not healed from. His fear destroyed us. He tried counseling, did not connect with that person so he quit the process out of frustration. Completely heartbreaking.

I had God’s confirmation that my soon to be ex was the man I was supposed to marry but we both had readiness issues that took it sideways past the point of repair. I have an anxious attachment style and a tendency to cling so this is a great reminder for me to really transfer my dependencies to the Lord before launching my next relationship!
