  • Part 3 of 5: Since a guy somehow managed to get this car home after sitting forgotten for 23 years, it's time to clean up this classic car and see what it has to offer. I'll be pressure washing this classic Buick LeSabre with my special George Olson chemical, then adding my shine Juice (linseed oil) to her, to see how the patina holds up. Ideas on what to do with this car? Put them in the comments!

We girl's like to watch, I'm darn near 50 and my grandpa didn't have anyone to help him fixalate, so he taught me how because he needed help. He's been gone awhile, was in ww2 , went through the great depression, and these video's make me think of him. @@ViceGripGarage have ya ever tried tung oil instead of linseed? It leaves a much more durable plasticy feel on your fingers, which transorlates to a better finish with more protection from the elements.... least in wood working. Careful with that linseed oil on your hands there bud, it actually has some toxic elements when its liquid. I'm sure your not drinking it, but I'm not sure how that translates to skin absorption over time. Stay safe up there!

As I mentioned in your buick special video, in the mid 70's I inherited my uncles '63 Lesabre four door hardtop with a 410 Wildcat engine, hardtop meant no frames around the windows, my uncle loved the fact it was a hardtop. This really brings back memories, this was my very first car and though it had overheating issues it never burned a drop of oil at 75,000 miles and the factory A/C would still freeze you out of the car. It was light green and it was a really comfortable car to travel in. Unfortunately my uncle never changed or flushed the coolant so I fought overheating issues part of the time but I loved my uncles old buick so much I drove it for some time. FUN FACT: the air cleaner said 410 Wildcat but 410 stood for torque output not HP, the engine was really a 401 cu. inch. with 10:1 pistons a two barrel Rochester and around 300 hp on premium fuel

That was my very first car, it was my Grandfather's he passed away in 1965, and I bought it from my Grandmother in 1970 when I was 16 years old. I ran the car until 1972 and it had 325,000 miles on it. Gas was cheap, that old tank was a blast, it was especially fun drifting on gravel roads. My best friend and I jacked it up with 2x4's between the axle and frame, installed glas packs and a four barrel intake and carb off a car at our local junkyard. The car was just plain fun, and it taught me how to work on automobiles. I'm in Michigan and it was in about the same shape. Brings back a ton of memories 🤣👍💪😎😃 awesome 😍. Thanks Jim

Derek's hard work is getting me motivated to clean out the ol shop and start tinkering in there instead of the driveway. Lots of mouse poop and dust. It's all factree though

Hi Derrick, I been a car enthusiast all my life, and I have a soft spot for classic cars. They don't design and make them like they use to. I love seeing video of classics bought back to life. Just hearing the engine start for the first time in years just put a big smile on my face. I'm glad I came across your videos a while ago. I love that you also have a soft spot for classic vehicles and bring them back to life. They are basically a piece of history. The era when you use a key to lock, unlock, and start the car. Now days just about every new vehicle has a key fob. I actually miss using a key to start a car. I have a wish to one day own a classic automobile. I have a bunch of them I like, but my dream car is a 1959 Cadillac Deville or Fleetwood. I love classic cars especially from the mid 50's through the late 70's. Keep up the good work and I love your sense of humor 🤣 along with the videos. I salute you sir. 🤚🏽
