SPOILER ALERT!!
I agree
This movie will restore your faith that Hollywood can still produce outstanding content when the right people are involved.
AMEN.
Yes, no woke garbage, no agenda, just a great movie
So true
@@LuniMW Some of it in the movie but it was not too bad.
❤
Kids, this is how they used to make movies. This is cinema.
I’m almost 31 and I have to say it’s tougher then ever to find anything like it these days
I agree!!! One of the best sequels I have seen, enjoyed it more than the original!!!
You can’t watch this ending without smiling. You just *CAN’T.*
I cant Watch the ending without crying😭😭
@@lylaspires5787 It's not a sad ending, though.
@@lylaspires5787 Tears of joy I presume
its an earned ending for Maverick, that's why it feels so good to see.
Well I was crying because rooster saw the pictures of his dad and his picture was next to them
The backdrop of Jennifer Connelly leaning on that Porsche Carrera is iconic
It's her jeans...and what's in them.
Childhood fantasy mode engaged. Classic porsche classic Connelly💦
lol elaborate PLEASE ...
I came to look for comments about that Porsche 😊
agreed, thats a poster level scene, worth a lot in 50yrs
This movie was one of the greatest movie experiences I've ever had, it was awesome watching this in theaters
Bet somewhere berlin thinking not bad lol ending song 😅
@@nicholasrogers7276top gun 2 will 81,000 years be a Classic,won’t it?
Agreed brother
It was even better in 4DX format! People were standing up and applauding 😁
i regret not taking the time to watch it on the theater 😭
this should have won the Oscar for everything
Agreed. ❤ Best movie of 2022 ever!!
Holding this movie back for a year was absolutely the right decision, watching it in the theater opening night gave so much energy to the experience.
You mean two years
@@manuelorozco7760 Fuck it lets be pedantic assholes, you mean 1,021 days.
What a beautiful perfect ending. Just hit all the right emotional beats.
For Goose. And for Iceman.
@Jacob Ramirez great ending would been surprise vist by maverick Long. lost daughter pulls up in charlotte old car wearing her old jacket. watches him fly off happily as cameo maverick daughter all grown up played by margot robbie lol holds a file reading top gun file capt pete maverick mitchell on it smirks to herself glare at old c4 pic of maverick and Charlotte on his bike see you soon at work dad she says lol .
I love how Rooster taps the photo as if to say... We're Ok Dad!
It's hard to find movies like this these days, but it feels so amazing when we actually do get movies like this these days. Legendary.
I feel the same way as you! And COVID has left me tougher than ever to impress as a young cinephile
I watched the first Top Gun in theaters as a 16 year old in 1986 and watched this one in the theaters as a 52 year old in 2022. I would have not wanted it any other way.
Love the ending, which coincidentally ended how it started - with Mav working on his plane.
Classic ellipse
But this time, he is no longer alone. His family is there with him.
And his shirt is now clean
If paramount reads this, PLEASE DON’T make a third Top Gun movie. This was a perfect ending to the story that should never be touched
Agreed. Top Gun: Maverick is a a grand masterpiece
imagine they make a third 30 years from now. Tom Cruise is 90 and looks the exact same Lol!
If they ever do, bring back the people who did this movie.
If they do - I’d love it to be a prequel, focussing on Viper.
Actually they need a top gun rooster movie. Retire maverick and have rooster take the mantle.
This movie is such an epic masterpiece. So glad Tom waited til the right time.
If this and the new Mission Impossible proved to me one thing, he still knows how to sell it
A 30+ year promise was fulfilled at the right moment, and saved an industry! 🎥
I didn’t expect to be blown away by this sequel
Best ending to a movie in a long time. Won’t see a movie star like Tom Cruise ever again. That’s what I was thinking…
The closest to him is Dwayne Johnson
@@manuelorozco7760😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Without exaggeration, this film really is absolute cinema, it's a masterpiece!
This movie would not be the same without 'hold my hand'. That song is just everywhere in the movie.
RIP Iceman 🕊️
1:16 That moment with Jennifer Connelly leaning on the car could be in the ad campaign for Porsche and their stock would split three times in a year.
2:04 always makes me cry when I watch the movie. Amazing film.
He deserves an Oscar for this Movie🏆
“So cry, tonight” that’s exactly what I’ll be doing😂
This is one of the greatest films of all time and one of the greatest sequels ever made, and there will never be another film like this, this film is up there with Terminator 2, Aliens,(1986), The Dark Knight, Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of The King and The Godfather Part 2. I Remember seeing this film for private screening before showing in public back in 2022 and was it one of the best nights of my life, something I’ll never forget, Great Film. 🎬🎥🎞️📽️🍿🥤🔥💯
The picture of ICe and Mav sorting out their issues at the end of the 1st movie is now replace by Mav and Rooster being the the exact same situation and ending the unintentional feud Rosters had with Mav. Such a wonderful way to bridge the 2 movies with 2 pictures from different times but meaning the same thing
I saw this in theaters opening night. I had to go to three different theaters just to find one that wasn’t sold out. I’m so happy I got to experience this in theaters. This is my favorite movie of all time.
The Best movie experience over decades. I saw it 5 times in cinema. Everything was perfect.... The story the cast that soundtrack and this awesome camera work.
The ending was outstanding, the classic good Ending without regrets.
If they put it back in the theaters I will be there lol
Stunning end to a stunning movie. Perfect.
The best god-damned ending to a feel good film. Fuck yeah. I'm gonna get my HAM and pilots license this year.
This and Puss In Boots: The Last Wish are the best movies of 2022.
Both endings are just beautiful and amazing.
I went and saw this movie a couple of months after my dad passed away. The original top gun was his favorite movie of all time, and he went and saw it back when he was 12. He was excited for this movie back when it was announced.
When I got to the ending….I was bailing in my seat. The movie was so good, and I cried at the fact that my father never saw it. I miss my dad every day, and there so much I wanted to do with him, and I hate that I’ll never be able to do any of them with him.
❤
Charlie: the summer love.
Penny: the true love.
Just like the blockbusters of old ❤
Watching this in San Diego, opening night was so electric. The familiar font and opening soundtrack got everything going from the jump.
The emotions are always running wild during this scene. Love for cars and planes will always remain with us all 😭🙏
This ending is PERFECT.
They really did an amazing job with this movie it really held up and exceeded my expectations
I have to admit that I lived the 1st Top Gun so much that I was scared the 2nd would ruin the legacy for me.
I was wrong!
Top Gun: Maverick isnt just a love letter to Aviation.
Its also a love letter to the original!
I was afraid for the sequel to work too
This movie was my favorite to be released in 2022. The first 6 months were tough for me and after seeing this film with my family I felt hope again thx to this awesome movie.
i legit can’t watch this movie (esp this ending) without sobbing. half the movie i’m sobbing.
Movie was so good I watched it twice in theatres
I lived this scene with my USAF husband. Sport car and flight ❤ he made my dream come true
Kids this is our era of movie❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
The sound of that P51 gets me harder than a diamond in an ice storm
This is the Greatest Movie of all time ❤️
This is so 90s happy ending be like and it's perfect!
I can't wait for Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 on July 14th (2023).
Perfect ending❤️❤️❤️
Ending brings chills and smiles just like the first. Hollywood should not attempt a 3rd.
I've always loved the old fashion end credits with the cast in movies
One of the best movies I ever watched.
rarely do I think that follow up films are great. But the casting and story line in this was over the top. Using Miles was perfect.
How about Creed III
Looking forward to tomorrow when my Samsung HW-Q995B arrives and I can watch Top Gun 1+ 2. After that I will grab my motorcycle and ride full throttle and the music to freedom. The best movie since a very very long time
This is such an perfect ending had me in tears 🥺🥺🥺🥺♥️♥️♥️♥️
Best ending and the perfect song to complement it
I'm glad Paramount wanted to release it in theaters, and it was the best choice they did. As this was the last film I saw in theaters with a friend of mine, before he tragically passed away from a car crash. And this ending just gets me all emotional. Rest in Peace, Wilson.
Hey, I am sorry to read this. This movie is very emotional for a lot of people as it was released right after covid while a lot of us were crying the loss of a relative. At least you both had a blast at the theater before you got separated. I m sure you will see each other again.
Amazing movie with the right touch of nostalgia
Porsche 911 S 1973. What a beauty ❤
Equally beautiful as the p51 mustang
@@whanngabrylsanoy721 Of Course. And Jennifer Connelly 😁
One of the greatest movies ever made! And one of the greatest sequels I seen since Terminator 2 and Shrek 2 in my opinion.
My 158th times watching this awesome film. ❤️❤️❤️
Top Gun: Maverick did 2 things that were very unique: it’s one of the most sensitive movies about Grief and it brought back the old fashioned romance. A great movie 🎥
I love these credits, they're PART of the movie, more like final bows than tacked on end credits.
I wanted TGM to win movie of the year so bad!
It should have.
Even as an older woman, her eyes are still mesmorizing. 🥰
Seeing this movie in 4DX was probably my greatest cinema experience ever.
That's a near perfect movie right there tbh
When I saw this movie in theaters, it was obvious that this movie was from a time that unfortunately seems to have gone away. When we could just sit down and watch a movie, with a simple story, that demonstrated traits to which we can aspire.
Movie was excellent from beginning to end...hope that Tom Cruise continues to make and influence movies for years to come, even after he's hung up the stunts. Thst man knows how to make movies the audience wants to see.
One hell of a movie.....
I go to tractor pulling a lot and they still have a few teams with Rolls Royce Griffons here.. the power and sound of those engines still gives me chills everytime. Ww2 engines 80 years old. Hearing the Merlin start up on the p51❤
I don't regret paying for the best experience and seats 11x
Such a great movie! I saw in the theater during COVID and watched it again during a recent flight. The film bridges the gap between modern and classic film making by show casing the best elements of both.
0:18 this scene makes me sad in a way. Mav comes home and he’s excited to see Penny again but she’s not there…
I kinda liked it. It Showed she wasn't just a trophy for the protagonist. She has a life of her own too.
For me Maverick is the best Tom Cruise movie as well as one of the best movies I have ever seen.
Never thought a Lady Gaga song would fit so well for an ending song in Top Gun
Such a feel good film. Everything about it was perfect.
Truly a masterpiece
im back again 😔🤣 this ending of this film makes me feel nostalgia and im only 20😂❤ the magic of movies
That Rolls-Royce engine in the P-51..
Or is it that Rolls Royces use P-51 engines?
I've seen navy guys mad about the P-51 being his plane of choice... I can't understand it. That thing is just so majestic. As a Marine I have a slight navy bias but my dude, that thing is just so awesome
I agree. Issue is tjat is Tom's real P51, he owns it. If it would have been a Corsair, I would have jumped out of my seat.
this movie was amazing. like a lot of others already mentioned it will restore your faith that hollywood can still make good films instead of the usual junk that has unfortunately become the norm. and say what you will about Tom Cruise and his private life, but you can tell the guy loves his craft and it’s great to watch.
and yes, love that ending showing Mav and Rooster continuing to re-kindle their relationship while working on his P-51. very wholesome father/son type bonding there. also Jennifer Connoly and the Porsche, just chef’s kiss. 😘👌🏻
my only complaint is that the song chosen for the end is not as iconic as the original’s “you’ve lost that loving feeling” but i guess they couldnt re-use that because that song was too tied to Charlie’s character (who wasnt in this movie). still an awesome movie and ending though.
I personally was surprised by the hard work that was put into this sequel! I really thought it was going to be one of those films where you can’t believe the hype. My dad got teary eyed watching this ending! He would watch the OG Top Gun nearly every time it was on cable. And he was so excited! And the song Hold My Hand is just chef’s kiss!
Awesome experience in theater. Hats off for whoever behind this movie 🎬 ❤
What a film
Best film I’ve seen in years
I thought hondo was my fav character because through thick and thin he was always there for mav no matter what
I saw this with a buddy I've known for almost 30yrs and then got out of the theater and went to a bar and saw the Oilers knock the Flames out of the playoffs. Literally the best man date ever!
Perfection.
LOVE this ending!!!!
*Me too.*
Rooster looking at the old pics of Goose and Maverick, and tapping it, what a great feel good ending. Has to be a 3rd Top Gun. What a incredible movie.
There will be a third one!
One of the best movies I ever seen
Honestly when I first heard about TG Maverick, I was excited but hesitant, I wanted to see a sequel but didn't want some garbage and im happy to see this movie was well beyond anything I could of hoped for. Great movie.
Come on!!!!!! This movie is not good. Its freaking awesome!!!! Like I dont remember the last time I sat for the credits with a huge smile on my face and just thought to myself "what an experience"....not movie.....experience.
What a blast of a movie
Best ending to a movie I’ve ever scene
This and EEAAO were my top 2 favorite movies of 2022
That car! 👌🏼
Perfect in every sense
Amazing! Great song to end it.
Love the Lady Gaga song!!!!
This was one of the sickest movies ever
Thank you Lady Gaga for this great ending song!!!!
