When I was about 36 weeks pregnant I came out of a restaurant to see that someone had parked really close to my car. No way I was getting in there. I had to go into the restaurant and ask my server to come and back my car out of the spot for me. I gave her another tip for that. God bless her!!

Being pregnant with my twins was the worst most traumatic experience of my life. I couldn't even keep down a sip of water, for nine months. My husband told me it was normal and not to make a fuss. I lost more weight than I gained, couldn't even give a urine sample at a routine midwife appointment. I worked the whole way through as well, on my feet 12 hours a day. I should be dead.

It's called hyperemesis gravidarum and it's absolutely not normal (while not that exceptional). Usually treated with extra hydration and nutrition per an iv, in the 19th century at least anecdotal with cocaine :D
The child is usually not harmed, maybe underweight, but the pregnant person might suffer from anemia, thrombosis, ptsd, etc. after going untreated through up to 9 months of never ending nausea.
Please school your husband and make him feel bad for being an unempathetic jerk.
Additional question: Why didn't the midwife or gynecologist intervene? You have these regular appointments to catch stuff like that and treat it accordingly (and eventually explain to your husband). Shame on everyone in this scenario (except you and your twins), if they did not even try to help you.

For the past 10 years I have lived with the knowledge that I will go to hell. . . . . or at the very least, spend a significant time in purgatory.
See, my co-worker was 9.5 months pregnant and attempting to sit in her office chair. She had to distributed so much of her weight on the arms of the chair that it started to slowly roll away from her. So she started walking backwards to correct for it and avoid landing on the floor. Which made the chair roll back more. The poor thing was in a half sit, chasing the chair, in reverse, across the office, and cussing us out. Honestly, we wanted to help, and we were trying but, at the same time we were laughing our asses of and trying not to pee ourselves. It's not easy chasing a pregnant woman and her office chair with your legs crossed.

I got that beat-I was in EMT training and pregnant with my oldest at the same time. No problem…until the time came for ambulance runs when I was six months pregnant. On one call in particular, accessing the patient involved climbing up a loading dock into the warehouse to access the patient. Climbing up was no easy task at that stage, but getting off the loading dock when the word “jump” is no longer a part of your vocabulary was another story-I had to settle for trying to scoot my butt off the loading dock onto the parking area below. (Anyone who’s seen “Auntie Mame” and remembers the part when the enormously pregnant Agnes Gooch is trying to sit up on a low-lying couch will relate!). My oh-so-supportive paramedic wingmen were busy with the patient in the ambulance, but not too busy to be laughing like hyenas at the sight! That was insane, to say the least.

It was bad enough that my husband had to make his own coffee and do all the dishes (the place we were renting didn’t have a dishwasher), but my older daughter had to live on microwave dinners because the smells in the kitchen made me even sicker than I already was, so cooking anything was out of the question! Now she’s a total health nut who prefers cooking from scratch (actually, both girls do), so it didn’t scar her for life. It was one reason (one of several, actually) why I stopped at two kids!

We didn’t plan that big of a gap, but if I hadn’t gotten pregnant when I did (we were using two kinds of contraception and I got pregnant anyway) there would’ve been an even bigger age gap between them. I was glad of the age gap when they were young because it meant having only one kid at a time in diapers, but now it means having the teenage years lasting longer, so I guess it’s a trade-off. However, having only one kid at a time in college is a plus!

    1. Never make them laugh unless you want to get them new pants
    2. Never try to take food off their plate... forks can leave scars
    3. Always offer chocolate...it is the best present to keep them calm
    4. Don't touch the belly... unless you want to be missing a hand
    5. Whatever they crave get it...it will go a long way
    6. Choose your words carefully... avoid Prego, big, and glowing
    7. Never underestimate the woman's reach... anything can become a projectile
    8. Never ask how far along they are... because you don't know if they are pregnant
    9. Always give them a hand with sitting...it is difficult to sit down when you have an extra 20 pounds in the front of you

By adopting, a kid, you could actually save a poor child from bad life and if you didn't adopt that child, there is no gaurantee that child survives till 18 in foster care. And also, you are helping in population control. World already have a lot of people, a lot of them, kids, need parents.

It’s widely known that both ginger and seaweed help with nausea and vomiting, so it made perfect sense to me that I felt better after eating sushi. So at least within these 9 montha if the women decides to keep the pregnancy she should dedicate herself to the baby nd restrain from drugs and stuff that would harm the baby.

Nothing was wrong with them except I would slip because I worked at a fast food joint and falling while pregnant didn't appeal to me, so 3 days in a row here comes the boyfriend saving the day! He got mad the third day and I had to remind him of my already poor memory and told him it would be worse as the months went by. Idk if its my bad memory or that fight, but I don't think I had a moment after that.
Also, I didn't experience most of these issues. I only got six once, I never got bigger than the average 7 months woman, hardly ever hungry, and almost no cravings. When my mom was pregnant with my brother, she couldn't stand beans. Couldn't eat them, felt nauseous at the smell of them. Curiously enough, my brother hates beans.
The one where the woman left her keys in the front door... I did that not too long ago. If that's my brain when I'm NOT pregnant, imagine what I'd do if I WAS.

My mother was in a hot pot shop, then she ordered a soup pregnant women were not allowed to eat. She was not pregnant, but since she was…uh…chubby…..the people at the counter said, “U are pregnant u cannot drink that” my mom was disappointed and replied, “I am not pregnant”

@@PraiseJ-Pope if I saw someone drinking alcohol I would sure say something, and if I saw someone drinking coffee I would sure say something (as I have before) the child they have made never was asked if they wanted to come into this world (which is pretty fucked up place) so if I see someone compromising and putting their child at a disadvantage already, I'm going to speak up, especially so blatantly

@@PraiseJ-Pope if she drinks caffein reagrdless tham she wasnt told that enough. Would u stay quiet if she drink alcohol? Would u stay quit if she gave alcohol to an already born baby? I hope u wouldnt.
It should be every adults duty to step in when they see children harmed or putting in danger. If the mother decided to get a child and dont abort, but cant even stop consuming stuff that we know is harming for the chidlren than sorry, she is a bad women. The chidlren health should be more important than some caffeine.
My mother smoked during pregnancy. Wich was in a time were nearly everyone smoked everywhere (for example u could smoke in a Plan at that time. In a fucking plane u canr even open a Window there)
But still. She got me by a c section when i was 7 months. I was really smal, my right Kidney is not even half the size is should be, my left one is "normal" sized but even in the "normal range" its pretty smal.
I have a problem with addictive behavior like eating and stuff.
I dont say all of this is the result of my mother smoking during pregnancy. But it could be.
And that is why every adult should step in when they see someone harming a child. Even if its the mother

It’s amazing what women go through to build and produce human beings. Isn’t wonderful that we say a big thank you for those 35 years (from the age of 12) women and their bodies devote to building humans by naming the product of that work with the mom’s last name! What a meritocracy we have. Oh, wait, sorry, we award the parent who does none of that excruciating physical the honor of naming the baby with their last name. Gosh, really shows how much we appreciate moms!! Ha ha, not.
