      Agree. That Lighting and Depth of field is somewhat epic. I wanna watch it just because of that. 😀

    Heard these at Axpona. Surprised the heck out of me in that little hotel room. Sounded pretty darn good imo. Could just imagine them set up in a proper room

    I heard these a little in the Upscale Room at Axpona, Kevin was there but was in a conversation with a few other guys so I didn't bother him. They sounded pretty full for their size (though its axpona, its hard to get a good handle on stuff when everyone is walking around talking).
    I met Kat too in the headphone area, listened to a EVO 100 there, was nice over at the Upscale audio booth.

    Helluva tagline, "Cabasse. Our brand is Crisis."

    They look bad to the bone, but they are a bit spendy. I have yet to find a speaker like this that lives up to the promise, but it sounds like these do.

    Doesn't matter how good they sound. At some point they will stop supporting firmware updates and the bluetooth or wifi will be old versions. I won't buy any speakers with built in tech anymore for this reason.

    NO SOUND TEST AGAIN IN A CZcams CHANNEL. WHY CABASSE NEVER MAKES A SOUND CHECK. ANY OTHER SPEAKER HAS A SOUND TEST ON CZcams BUT CABASSE NEVER

    Your friends are knuckle dragging Neanderthals? Birds of a feather... There is a reason the best speakers from 1950 through 2000 all have 15" woofers. Is that a neat gadget? Probably. Does it sound as good as my vintage 3-way. Unlikely.

    • @flomulousvaanderstoode5318
      @flomulousvaanderstoode5318 Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, the reason is that in the 50s there wasn't the technology there is today, as you may have noticed. After the 60s, 15 inch woofers were still used because people had been trained to listen with their eyes and that "bigger is better" which, in the world of audio, it most certainly is not. Not to say yours don't sound 'fine', but any of the lower priced modern 2 way "audiophile" speakers with 8 or 10 inch woofers will out perform the "vintage" 3 ways in every category, except, and this is only maybe, for sheer volume. 😬 Major studios around the world monitor and mix on smaller speakers and it isn't because they sound worse. We save the big monitors to 'impress' the clients and A&R with sheer volume, because loud is good. Oh my. If you seriously want better sound, there are many, many speakers that will have you relegating your vintage 3 ways to the garbage heap, unless your ears simply aren't capable of hearing the difference which is quite possible. And let's keep in mind that your downstream components must also be very high quality. GIGO applies to speakers as well as computers.
